Cracker Barrel used to be a go to spot for good quality and consistent quality food. No more. The Fishers location proves that. Cold mac and cheese came during a late lunch there. We had to send silverware back twice for being so dirty. The fried chicken was just a grease ball and not that good. Oh what happened to Cracker Barrel? Bob Evans beats the heck out of Cracker Barrel nowadays. The last time I ate at Cracker Barrel, the gravy I had with my breakfast was cold, too. So, it’s not just the one trip. I think we’ll skip Cracker Barrel from now on.

This place gets a strong 4 stars for the food. For years I have heard people talk about this place, but we had no locations in California. So now that I’m here, I’m so glad I tried it. The smoked sausage was good, but the grits were the best I’ve ever had… hands down!’ Hubby loved the pancakes and eggs. This is some good down home cooking with awesome people. If you are watching calories, keep driving boo boo! Alexis was our server. Hubby loved her cute little laugh. congratulations to Earl who is in his first week on managing there he was so friendly and came to out table to speak with us while we were fining. Every single person in there was just so friendly. I just can’t wait to go back! Theses another friendly server who worked today and I told Her I just moved here from California and she told me to place my order and come back to look in the store. I wish I knew get name, she was hilarious’

Our server was very nice. We have been to this Cracker Barrel counsellor times and the food is consistent. Had the apple cider chicken tonight and it was very nice however even though my server answered my specific dietary questions-management and other staff weren’t very helpful in figuring out what my daughter could eat. Fortunately, I am seasoned in rooting out what my daughter can eat. As large of a chain Cracker Barrel is they should have more allergen info(gluten is the only issue they have info on). Food is consistent across the US and my server was really sweet.

This is the second time I’ve come here, been seated, waited five to ten minutes without even so much as being acknowledged by any waitstaff, and gotten up and left. Both times, I let employees know on the way out. Since nothing changed after the first time, I doubt it will change after this time. I’ll drive over to the location on Michigan &86th St. and use my gift certificate there, instead(and once it’s used up, I won’t be returning to any Cracker Barrel because of these experiences). As an aside, waiting tables isn’t difficult. At all. And when your pay depends almost entirely on the service you give, why wouldn’t you say, «Hey, I’ll be right with you» as you’re walking by? It’s frustrating because I’m a low maintenance customer who tends to tip well even when service is just average. But I can’t in good conscience give ANY money to an establishment with service as bad as this.

I only go here because my mom always wants to go, I don’t argue because the menu is so big you really can always find something to eat. The food taste OK and it’s always the same you can’t go wrong, they had a really nice big huge fireplace which I would’ve loved to have sat next to! But add a nice touch. The service was OK and I would only go here with my mom again. And i’m sure I’ll be drug here again.

The attraction here is consistently good down home style fare in a countrified setting. Every location is virtually identical. Featured breakfast plates combine eggs your way, grits, meats, fried apples, and very flaky biscuits with sawmill gravy. Each table has a simple peg game to pass the time(in the event your cell phone isn’t working or your pals are offline), though our service was very fast — and we enjoy one another’s company. Solidly reliable and one of the few places grits can be had in this area.

I don’t understand why anyone goes here. Nothing on the menu taste like it is made in house. I am not going to go to in depth on this place we have all eaten at one before.

I really have nothing but good things to say about this location. The wait staff are all very friendly and attentive. The food always comes out as ordered, hot and fresh. Great place for breakfast or dinner.

I freakin’ love this place. Every time I visit Indiana in July to see my grandparents and cousins(I’m from CA) my first stop after the Indianapolis International Airport is Cracker Barrel. The flight we usually take lands around 5:30AMEST, but even after that long 4 hour flight, I have been going here since August 2001(I WASONLY3MONTHSAWAYFROMTURNING4!!!). My absolute favorite meal here is the blueberry pancakes; they’re OUTOFTHISWORLD!!!

I have probably been to 30+ Cracker Barrels in my travels as I particularly enjoy their fried okra. This one spot just kind of comes up short of our previous stores somehow. We happened to come on a random Thursday morning to find my favorite breakfast(multigrain French toast) had been taken off the menu. I opted for a «lighter» breakfast this go round — I believe it was called the«Good Morning Breakfast» with scrambled egg beaters, turkey bacon(or sausage), fruit, sliced tomatoes, and cheese grits. I asked for no cheese on my grits and the waitress proceeded to ask me if I wanted cheese on my eggs… Ummmm no. I asked for no cheese before… But anyway. Hubs got the Mama’s French toast(with sourdough) with all the sides. Our waitress returned shortly after we ordered to ask me how I would like my eggs… note from the description that it said it was«scrambled egg beaters» … anyway. When our food arrived, my eggs were ‘regular’ eggs(scrambled). Our waitress apologized and brought me an extra(tiny) fruit cup to make it up to me. Of note, our check was presented at the same time as the food was served which was kind of odd to me. We had the day off and were not in any kind of hurry, nor did we indicate we needed to jet. We even wanted a piece of my husband’s favorite cake(Coca-Cola Chocolate cake) to go… so we had to ask for her to adjust it. Coffee was topped pretty often so can’t complain there. Service just wasn’t as syrupy sweet like I am used to from previous experiences.

It’s your average Cracker Barrel. I visited this place with my sister. She got the old timers breakfast and I got the chicken and dumplings which was amazing:) I was full when I left I can say that. They could use a little more delightful people as servers. But other than that it was ok

If you ever need Thanksgiving dinner and don’t want to cook, get it from here. We didn’t cook this year, so we ordered a whole dinner. It was price better than other places and you get a lot more. The only problem was getting to the counter to pay. I don’t know her name but the lady pulling the orders was great. She was checking the orders and notice a few things. She made sure the kitchen fixed the error and made up for the mistake. She was friendly and wanted to make sure our dinner was right.

Cracker Barrel rarely disappoints. First of all, I love the country store! Some things are overpriced but there are always deals and they carry some really unique items. The selection of candy alone is enough to impress. The wait for a table is usually fairly short and the menu offers a lot of options. I recommend the sweet tea to drink. Biscuits and gravy are great in the morning. Meatloaf, dumplings, chicken, and fish are all good options for dinner. Prices are very reasonable and the overall feel and taste is very ‘down home country cooking’ — reminds me of my grandma’s kitchen!

I am giving 5 stars for the hard working staff that goes well beyond their call of duty. I ordered the burger and my husband the breakfast… all was good.

Normally don’t review but was traveling and would want to know. For a extremely busy Sunday and time the seating was a little slow. However the food made up for the speed. I have eaten at lots of Of Cracker Barrels but this was one of the better ones. Food was great for this chain. Staff was busy but still friendly in the area looking for one this is it.

I ate here for breakfast yesterday for the first time and everything was exceptional. I ordered the biscuits and gravy meal with sausage patties and a side of hash brown casserole. The portion sizes were more than enough and everything is very tasty, especially the hash brown casserole. It has cheese, onions and black pepper. It is to die for. Our waitress was extremely friendly and on top of her game. Very quick service.

This is a pretty good Cracker Barrel. Always good service and always an easy drive to get there. The food is average Cracker Barrel but predictable. Good breakfasts, good fried catfish, and always helpful waitresses ready to provide refills ASAP. I’ve been going there for years. Usually a clean restaurant but it does get busy.

Cracker Barrel has gone down hill. The casserole is dry as the biscuits are smaller than they use to be. Over all Cracker Barrel become horrible disappointment !

We’ve eaten at many Cracker Barrels over the years and we’ve always had a very positive experience, but not at this one. We ate a late afternoon dinner there three days ago. Firstly, the hostess could barely be bothered to bring us to a table — and considering that the place was nearly empty, it might have been nice if she’d asked us where we wanted to sit. Immediately after we sat down, it was obvious the lighting was horrendous everywhere(we could barely even read the menus), so we moved to a table by the windows. After we’d ordered, an elderly couple sat at a table next to us(and let me preface this by saying I have an elderly mother & an elderly aunt and I’m not exactly young myself, so I’m not casting aspersions against the elderly). Shortly thereafter, one of the servers lowered all of the window shades and that left us practically in the *dark*(as it was, the sunlight was very muted and therefore it only provided weak light). We protested, and she told us that couple told her to lower the shades(hey, do you think it might be nice if you asked the OTHER people sitting by the windows if they wanted their shades lowered?!). We raised our window shade(they were large) and then the female half of the elderly couple became very nasty. Nasty elderly woman: «What are you DOING?!!» Me: «I’m raising our window shade so we can SEE!!» NEW: «I can’t STAND sitting by sunlight!!» Me: «Then why did you sit by a WINDOW?!! This place is nearly EMPTY and you could sit ANYWHERE!!» NEW: «FINE; I know when I’m not WANTED!» Me: «Hey, if the shoe fits…» After that lovely experience(they moved far away from the windows [good riddance!]), we had an always-tasty/always a bargain Cracker Barrel dinner(we had the salmon patties, which came with two sides [we chose their always-delicious cole slaw, which was a generous serving — and I had a sweet potato which was small & just«o.k.», and my husband had hash browns which were good]. We were also given two/each of their always-delicious biscuits and corn muffins, for a grand total of only $ 7.69/each plus tax). Although I love sufficiently-attentive waiter service, our server took that to a whole new level; he was *constantly* asking if everything was o.k. and it became really annoying after awhile(let me please swallow my food before you ask me yet again!). When we were nearly finished eating, another elderly couple(sitting far from the windows) told a server to lower(all of) the window shades and the same routine commenced, so we quickly scarfed down our remaining food and beat a hasty retreat. The cashier was friendly, for what it’s worth…

Very clean, friendly location. Food came fast despite being very busy. Quality of food and price were excellent. Forgot how high on the hog you can eat for cheap here! We’ll be back!

This isn’t about the food so I can’t give it five stars cause that just wouldn’t be fair. But did you know you can«rent» books on tape here? Awesome! Buy the book and then when you return it at any Cracker Barrel, they will credit your account minus the $ 3 it costs for the rental time. Sweet!

Fireplace and breakfast. All great memories here with my Dad and Aunt with all my travels. I have eaten at several different CB throughout the country and they are all consistently good. This is my favorite breakfast restaurant.

Opening this page, already ranked 3 ½ out of 5stars, there you go. I-69&96th Street Fishers, IN46038 Phone:(317)842−2766 Corey took the order for takeout 10am Sunday morning, the bottom of the bag was too hot to sit on the lap;good sign? returning home… turkey sausage, which has been excellent prior to this visit, was barely room temperature, it was dry which is why it couldn’t hold any heat. What a disappointment for an after service, Sunday breakfast.

Meh. It’s a cracker barrell. You go, you order the sunrise sampler, you bum a pancake off a buddy, you losen your belt, and you steel yourself for some serious guilt later on(which never actually seems to come…) Reliable, predictable, and delicious.

Oh, how I miss you, ‘olé CB. Every Friday morning in high school, we met for breakfast before heading to HSE, filling up on fried eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits, hash brown cassarole, and coffee. I still stop by after all these years whenever I visit Fishers, and I’m never disappointed. Granted, I stick to the breakfasts… the other meals don’t look as appetizing. There are no CBs in all of California… the closest one is in Yuma, Arizona. I might as well fly to Indy, it’ll take me less time than to drive to Yuma.

Gawd, I love Cracker Barrel. I don’t…want to, really. There’s the insufferable double entendre of the name(or so I’m convinced, and I mean, really: it is a little funny). Then there’s the wretched store that blocks the path to every dining area, cluttered with the same chinsy glass«parlor» lamps, porcelain dolls and cloying Americana crap. The fake«antiques» that cover every latticed wall from floor to ceiling. The eighty million rocking chairs outside that are supposed to create some kind of homey, Grandma’s porch feel. Like anyone really buys this. But… The food. Oh my God, the food. So wrong, and yet so right. The dumplings alone are like a little slice of heaven. The fried apples? Glorious. The mashed potatos? Just thinking about them makes me happier. Vegetarians, steer clear. Even if your food doesn’t contain meat, it was undoubtedly fried or otherwise cooked with animal fat. For the rest of us, however, this is a very good thing. You’ll feel disgusting after eating here. You’ll feel wrong, guilty, greasy and demoralized. And yet, you’ll come back again. It can’t be stopped.
