I ate here yesterday because I was too lazy to cook for Christmas and this place was the only one in Findlay that was open. Also because I had a coupon for 10% off. Their price was great for such a wide variety of food! Only $ 9.99 per person. They charge you for drinks but I only got water because I’ve banned myself from any carbonated/sugary drinks. The waitress staff was very friendly and refilled my water multiple times during my visit. However they did not understand me very well. On Christmas they served turkey. They also had the general Americanized Chinese food you find everywhere in the Midwest. They also had American food to accommodate the little kids who aren’t familiar with Chinese food and are afraid to try new things. Even though I don’t eat Chinese food much can, I’d come back during the holidays when I’m too lazy to cook and make my own food since they’re pretty much open all year!

How can you screw up General Tso. Lots of choices… just cooked poorly. They need a cook who knows spices and flavoring

Awful service, took 20 min even get silverware! Wouldn’t recommend 2 a homeless person if it was free!!! Rude waiters, and then they tried overcharging us by $ 12.65. I’ve had better Chinese and sushi from a grocery store! Don’t recommend!!!

The Royal Buffet, on the corner 236 and 224, has stared at me blankly for almost a year since I took the above picture. Every time I drove by, I watched as conversion vans and pickup trucks rolled around like tumbleweed in the parking lot. It was high noon in Canyon Diablo and the wind was whistling past my ears. If you cannot tell, I am a bit reluctant to try buffets. Nothing is more American than the All-You-Can-Eat buffet and the eating strategies that accompany them. Without really thinking about it, I entered in what one could only describe as rush hour: 7:00pm on a Saturday night. I was shown my seat amid screaming children and men in hunting camouflage. Fortunately, my iPod was stocked and I could tune out the dining«experience.» The waitstaff only come around for drink service(as one would anticipate at a buffet), but I would just as soon do it myself. I skipped all the American food and tried the Chinese. Well, what enthusiasts are now calling«Gateway Chinese» anyway. Sorry Findlay doesn’t have dim sum, people. It’s a bit far from hipper areas of the country. The food is edible, but there is better Chinese to be had elsewhere. It tastes like food from a buffet bar, or in other words, that it has been there for a while. I enjoyed Hunan Gardens more, and the $ 10(sans drink) price tag sealed the deal. There’s never a need to eat that much food, and a plate should be filling enough.

Not sure what it is about Ohio — you just can’t have a restaurant without fried cheese sticks, even if it’s Asian food… I will say that I was impressed with the selection. They have sushi that isn’t terrible(I saw the guy making them fresh). Also quite a range of different types of Chinese foods. And both soft serve and regular ice cream(with many flavor choices). But why the mashed potatoes and fried cheese, etc? Definitely a buffet type of place — complete with sour fruit and wilty salads. But if you have to get sushi someplace, I suppose it’s worth that…
