This place is the biggest joke! My baby had a fever of 103.3 with a rash all over his stomach. We had to wait as most places and i was fine with that. After we got called back the nurses came in for a sec. Then i waited. … and waited… and waited… and after an hour in a half of waiting and my baby crying i was more than upset. I was now debating on leaving. After hearing a nurse say oh i have to take this, picks up her cell phone and i hear her talking about doing taxes. She walks into my room cell phone to her ear and put a finger up, signaling that i wait and walks out. That was it. I packed my baby up and walked out. Being a nurse myself im not stupid nor am i going to sit around while these nurses gossip loudly about buying houses, gettting talked to for their charting not being done and answering cellphones. A BIG middle finger to all the workers there.

My daughter had a fever so I gave her childrens motrin at home. 30 minutes later her eye swelled up so much she could hardly see out of it. So I rushed her to Physicians Plus and the pediatrician said it was just pink eye and gave her some drops. Im no doctor, but I knew it wasnt pink eye. Here eye was not even red. It was the lid that was red and swollen. So I took her to Blanchard Valley Hospital ER and they knew right away what it was. She had sever Periorbital Cellulitis and needed to be on IV antibiotics right away so they transported her to Children’s Hospital in Toledo. STAYAWAYFROMHEREIFYOUCAN!

I’ve heard this referred to as a «Band-Aid station» from more than one person on different occasions. After being there, I know what that’s supposed to mean. You walk in, get a quick diagnosis, get some type of light treatment and then sent on your way. It’s to be a fast fix before you go see your GP or specialist. This place only accepts walk-ins. So, get there early. Otherwise you’ll end up waiting much longer than you get to see a physician. In their defense, that’s the way it is to work. If a team of medical professionals are to see several people in a day, then face time is to be kept to a minimum. The nurse wasn’t exactly the pinnacle of hospitality. Then again, you get what you pay for. She was a little miffed about me not knowing the layout of the building, as I had to say something about her taking off around corners. She also had that cliché healthcare worker voice that sounds like she’s talking to a three year-old. I _hate_that voice; it is my equivalent to nails on a blackboard. Listen, I know you’re trying to be nice, but I’m an adult. Address me as an adult, thank you. She fired off some questions about my medical profile, several of which could have easily been transcribed from my intake form. Just to get it out of the way, however, I answered them. When the situation was in reverse, she wasn’t as nice. There was a medical history question regarding my surgeries in my entire life. Now, I find that a bit far reaching and really haven’t had that question be for anything more than five years. I asked her how long, half in bewilderment and half in an attempt to cut it down, and she responded with«all my life» in a «dumbass, I told you once» tone. That didn’t go down well with me. Lady, I could have taken that same attitude with the first handful of questions you asked me, but I didn’t. Show the same respect. That wasn’t as upsetting as her name tag. It was flipped completely around. Now, whether this was ONACCIDENTORONPURPOSE, that is why I wouldn’t rate this place higher than three stars. I don’t like it when people have name tags turned around. That gives off the impression of malpractice while hiding under anonymity. Note, that is IMPRESSION it gives. That doesn’t mean there WAS any. It is important to make sure your name badge is visible and legible ATALLTIMES. She stated her name was«Theresa,»(after I asked, of course) which at that point could mean«Heather,» «Samantha,» or «Catherine» for all I knew. See what I mean? After that fun little bit was over, I finally saw the doctor. Dr. Matuszak was on the level, which was greatly appreciated. She talked to me like an adult(thank you!), and diagnosed the problem in short order. She is the reason the facility got three stars, instead of one.
