Santa Clara River Vly Railroad Historical Society

Sitting right near City Hall is a small unassuming building that used to be the fire station. Inside sits a treasure trove of train memorabilia.
There are model trains, and a vast train library on one side, on the other side, pictures, lanterns, tickets and all kinds of stuff relating to trains going back decades. If you are a fan of history or trains, I think you will enjoy this.
There was also a very nice staff member inside who chatted with us for awhile and told us about some of the movie and TV productions that have been done around Fillmore and Santa Paula relating to trains. If its a train, chances are it was filmed around there. Did ya know Throw Momma from the Train was done there? Neither did I! It was fun to talk to him and learn about the upcoming RailFest they are having March 27^th and 28^th. you can learn more about that here
