Wilbur W Oaks, MD

I have been going to Dr Oaks since I was about 15. I am 33 now. I love Dr Oaks. I would give him 6 stars. However his office staff sucks. My whole family has had Dr Oaks as our primary and a few of them have switched because they could not deal with his office staff. They NEVER awnser the phone and the awnsering service will only take messages in case of an emergency. They are rude and completely unhelpful.
Dr Oaks on the other hand was until recently a perennial member of the Top Docs in Philly. He is a legend at Hahnehmann. He is extremely nice and very hardworking and has the knowledge that is unique to someone who has been a Great doctor for 50+ years.
I am sure he could have retired years ago. He must be close to 80. I remember a few years ago going down Broad St near Race at about 10pm and I was tired from just having worked a long day and here I see Dr Oaks crossing the street. I stopped and said Hi. He was coming from St John’s hospice and heading BACK to work!!! He made me feel like a wuss.
I love the guy. Super Doc but horrible office staff.
