Uniqlo

Great Uniqlo store located in Center City across the street from Liberty Place. This place has what I call 3 ½ levels. The first floor is men’s clothes and the second floor has men and women clothes and a small kids section while the floor between the second and third floors (I call it ½ since it’s half the size) has the casual men and women’s clothing while the third floor has women and children’s clothes. I thought the men’s store had most of all the online clothes and a had a great selection of sizes and colors. I was a little disappointed with the selection for girls clothes. They definitely have more choices online.
What I love about shopping in Philly/​Pennsylvania is the no sales tax on clothes.

I love this place. Their jeans are a perfect fit and they don’t shrink in the wash. Fabrics are high quality and garments are well made. Friendly and helpful staff. Watch for sales — fabulous knock-​downs on wonderful clothes.

H&M for 30-​somethings, Uniqlo is cheap, in every sense of the word. Some of their clothing even comes with a disclaimer discouraging frequent wearing and washing. Essentially a coed Deb with an inexplicably good reputation, Uniqlo is that store for a fun, disposable New Year’s outfit or a moderately priced winter coat for a moderate, Georgia winter.

This is my fave local location of Uniqlo. Mainly because they have greater selection of clothing as opposed to the Cherry Hill location which i frequent. But also because they carry baby sizes. Yes it’s minimal but i always find something for my little one each time. Maybe i was just confused by it but I’m not a fan of the two different elevators i have to use to get the the «2^nd» floor vs other floors. The staff are very helpful and accommodating.

I love love love UNIQLO.
Clothing quality is great for the price you pay, and their sale prices are unrivaled. The store is usually pretty tidy, especially considering the volume of customers. Their sales associates are usually helpful in finding you different sizes/​colors/​styles. I am so glad they have a large store here in Philly!

I have been to a few Uniqlo stores, SoHo in NYC, King of Prussia, Cherry Hill and Center City Philadelphia. The selection in center city is very good, much better then the mall stores. It is not as big as the NYC store but still a lot larger then their mall stores. This store had 3 floors.
The staff here has always been pleasant. I like it that Uniglo runs specials fairly often. Last night my wife, daughter and myself all bought faux shearling sweat pants. Wow, these things are comfortable. So far the quality of Uniglo has been good. They do a nice job with their displays at this location also and the store is super bright, almost sunglasses wearing bright.
I am glad that Uniglo put a larger store in Philadelphia. It is a nice addition to Chestnut St.

You’ve seen their ads on GQ, Esquire, Details, Vogue and Vanity Fair… Now it’s here in PHL. I’ve been to the one in Nagoya, Japan, in Manila, Philippines, NY and now here. Not the biggest store I’ve been to, but I’m still a very big fan. I love their clothes, I love their fashion and I love their exclusivity. There’s only a handful of these stores in America, so if you come across one during your travels. Buy something, shop and brag about it to your friends.
These guys are the originator of the light down jackets that are ever so popular today. Today was the day I was going to own one. The new ones for the season is priced around $ 65 yo $ 75. There are some that are on sale downstairs for $ 30. Yea, «half price» is definitely my credit cards best friend. I done came, I done saw and I done conquered. I purchased two for me and my significant other.
They offer the same deal as every uniqlo there is in the world. You buy over $ 20 to $ 35 worth of merchandise and if you have bought trouser with, hemming is FREE.99 .
Life is awesome when the world see the glass as half full.

If you’re considering ordering something online from UNIQLO, DEFINITELY check this store first! The website had all SPRZ shirts at 19.99, but I found a whole bunch in store that were 3.90 (YES ONLY FOUR DOLLARS!!!) and weren’t even listed on the website. I actually wound up spending more money in the store because I found so much great stuff. The staff are always very nice which I love.
I love unqlo so much because it has low prices like F21 and H&M, but it gives off a higher quality vibe. I’m not sure if the cheaper clothes are really higher quality themselves, but I like the designs here more. Plus this store is GORGEOUS!!! It’s the one they use on the official website too.
BE CAREFUL ON THE FRONT WALK AREA!!! THE WHITE STONES ARE SLIPPERY!!!

Uniqlo is a store I love, but this one misses the mark. Sure the selection is good, but service is bad. I’ve been there a couple of times and the staff would actually worry about folding that they wouldn’t let customers through to browse. Bad.
The worse offense though was the fitting room experience. Mind you, I tried on an item upstairs, no problem. As I headed to the cash register downstairs, a shirt caught my eye so I proceeded to the fitting room. The man working it said I had to set my bag by them if I wanted to try on the clothes. «Bag? You mean my purse?» «Yes.» Shocked. I should have left at that point. I took my wallet and ID out and quickly tried on the items. Luckily, my designer purse was still there when I returned.

Surprisingly large Uniqlo for the area, but a lot of the empty space could be filled with more selection, although I understand that the appearance of the store involves not overstuffing the place. Came here for some relatively high-​quality basics for the price, but the fit or quality never really suits me.

Wow, I really like this uniqlo location. Three (and a half) floors worth of glorious uniqlo merchandise. Bottom floor is men, top floor is women, ground floor is a mix of both (and the 1.5 half floor is kids).
Reasons why I love this uniqlo location in particular:
+ the kids stock is surprisingly comprehensive and great. don’t judge me. I fit in the clothes so I will damn well try them on.
+ no lines, ever. Not for the cash, not for the fitting room, not for anything.
+ parts of their SPRZ collection can be found here!
+ on that note, they seem to have quite a few collections that I haven’t found in the New York brick and mortar stores. (Example: the pure blue japan collection or the UU kids collection.) I have no idea what determines which locations get which collections, but for some reason this one gets some pretty nice attention from the HQ overlords when they decide what goes where.
+ the SAs. Honestly I have never met an SA from uniqlo that I didn’t like, but it’s still always worth giving them a shout out. They’re so friendly!
I only wish it were easier for me to get to this location. Uniqlo, when are you going to open a location in my room? That would be great, please.

My favorite uniqlo store, there is never line. People who hadn’t had experience at uniqlo store in NYC or any other major city wouldn’t understand. Once I went there to exchange the size, I ended up waiting 40 min and I gave up exchanging.
This store is new and people are so nice unlike employees in nyc. I think people there just are tired or just have bad temper maybe. I have amazing experiences here so far. They were so helpful finding design and my size for me and super friendly and actually enjoy working there. Must make my shopping so pleasant.
They do have awesome basic stuff and have amazing price.
They run size little bigger than original uniqlo in Asia so keep in mind and order one size smaller if you do.

You would not imagine how psyched I was when I saw a board ad for Uniqlo in Philly. My boyfriend and I were visiting for two days and when we saw the ad, we both turned to each other and said, «We have to go!» Folks, that’s true love right there.
I usually frequent the Uniqlo on 5^th Ave in New York City and shell out over $ 100 for tons of basics. I’ve gotten T-​shirts, leggings, tank tops, hoodies, and skirts at Uniqlo in the past. The one in NYC is enormous, obviously since it’s their flagship store. This one is a little smaller but still three levels for men, women, and children. I headed straight for the third floor — women’s — and started looking through the racks. Their inventory is pretty well stocked and since we’re in the colder months, they’ve got all the jackets, sweaters, flannels, and pants you need to stay warm. Since it was the day after Christmas, there were surprisingly not as many clearance/​sale items as I was expecting but I did manage to pick up an adorable skirt for 60% off and a comfy flannel shirt. Certainly not as much as I usually buy at Uniqlo but money well spent.
As I’ve detailed in my other Uniqlo post, I prefer Uniqlo over H&M/Gap/Forever 21 since Uniqlo clothes tend to fit me better. The quality of Uniqlo is way better than H&M (clothes that shrink after one wash/​dry cycle? Goooodbye H&M!) and the prices are reasonable. Also, if the price of your pants is above $ 20, Uniqlo will alter for free!

I had a great experience in this place. Came with my sister to check-​out the stuff. Reminds you of the gap. Lots of colors and bubbly jackets. I purchased 2 kids navy fleece sweater, 1 women’s sweater, 1 thermal t-​shirt, 2 sets of kids hats and scarves. I spent about $ 120. Got free gift bags for spending over $ 50.
Money well spent and check out was great. Pedro folded, gift receipt each of my gifts and tied a pretty bow to my gifts. He made me wanna come back and spend more in UniQlo stores. Lol. Such an amazing experience in this store. This store is huge, lots of ground to cover. Lol.

This place uses this massive space well and a great addition to Chestnut Street. It had a TON of clothing in here but surprisingly isn’t a big mess, the staff is friendly and very helpful. The presentation of the clothing is very organized and well sized.
The space is very bright and the music is pretty loud, total sensory overload. I like that the space is large enough so that I can take DS here in his stroller without crashing into racks and displays like other stores in the city, which is VERY annoying.
The store is laid out well and easy to navigate.
The selection is great and the prices can’t be beat. I don’t know much about Uniqlo but I know that they have some of their specialty lines at this location, so when I have time, I will definitely spend some time perusing the other items!

Finally a Uniqlo for Philly.
Even though I live in New York, I just had to stop in because Philly has needed the chain to open up here for the longest time. A bit away from main Walnut shopping street, the Chestnut location is unbelievably massive for a Philly store. And I just love how I don’t have to step over tourists to see what the selection is like.
The offerings are pretty similar to all the other Uniqlo stores and maybe because the brand isn’t as popular as it is in New York yet, but they had so many options! They had all the popular styles I like in my size, and the employees were as helpful as ever. If you are a Uniqlo newbie, please stop in and check out their stuff. Their quality and styles are great, but the price point is the biggest draw for me, and I can’t wait for them to explode even more.
Keep on expanding!

Good addition to Chestnut Street and the Philadelphia metro area.
I’m glad there is finally a Uniqlo flagship store in the area since the KoP and the new cherry hill one are the smaller scale ones. I HATE to compare it to a «real» flagship (NYC), but I have to make it clear… This is simply a «bigger» Uniqlo that carries some the special/​collaboration lines. Compared to the NYC 5^th ave and even the midtown stores, its probably ½ the size… yes, I said half!
The space is clean laid out well for the square footage of the building. There were numerous fitting rooms which is nice and elevators and escalators are visible. I mainly went to browse and just see what this new store had to offer. I do love Uniqlo but there wasn’t anything I particularly needed.
It’ll definitely be a store i’ll stop by if i’m in the area.

This brand new flagship store is three times the size of the King of Prussia store with three times the selection. Being a bigger guy I found it challenging sometimes to find things in my size at the KOP store, however that wasn’t the case here. This store is 3 floors of uniqlo goodness. Main floor has both men and women’s clothes while the basement floor is all guys’ stuff and the 2^nd floor is all womens’ stuff. The staff are super helpful and seem to have that perfect balance of attentiveness when asking if you need help, but not stalking you closely throughout the store making you feel like you’re being stalked.
Uniqlo is a brand that offers classic less is more style for a very affordable price and high quality.

Well now I can cross one off the list, even if it does come with my #1 thing I don’t miss about Asia. Uniqlo was always my first stop in Seoul (I may or may not have rocked my elastic waistband jeans every day for a year and convinced all my friends to buy them, basically we were Serena, Ugly Betty, and Rory, and if you get that reference you just get me, thank you). When I moved back to the US I missed those heat tech shirts (technology! !) And the sweat proof shirts! Its always my first stop in NYC now too. And now finally (!) Philly has arrived. The store is giant and the escalators are impressive. The sales people wear uniqlo kimonos and hand you Asian candies. It’s amazing. Women’s clothes on the top floor, Men’s on bottom.
Think of it as H & M and American Apparel’s (cooler) Asian cousin. Thank you for gracing us with your presence uniqlo!

the brand new 4 story uniqlo store on chestnut street is finally open!
i went in today to check things out, and i was very impressed. if you’ve been to a lot of the other east coast uniqlo locations, you know they specialize in a large collection of basic wear for all seasons, and this store is no exception. it is a massive and daunting 4 floors (lower level, first floor, mezzanine, and second floor) but is packed with just the right amount of merchandise so that the space is nicely filled out without being oppressively crammed.
there’s something for everyone in the family. men’s wear is on the lower level and first floor. women’s is on the first and second floors. and the children’s section occupies the mezzanine level.
i love the use of the mirrored escalators and plenty of mirrors throughout the store. there’s even mood lighting in the stairwells and a digital ticker that lines the first floor. it reminds me most of the 5^th ave store in nyc. the employees here are also friendly and take the initiative to help you out whenever possible.
being a loyal customer of uniqlo since its inception in the united states, i was happy to find that this store stocks the MoMA-​inspired SPRZ NY collection as well as the +J collection. not every uniqlo store stocks a comprehensive inventory (for example, the king of prussia store), but glad to see they pulled out all the stops for the first philly store.
also, opening weekend means lots of promotions on uniqlo’s most popular items and even some free giveaways! all the more reason to stop in asap :)
