Ultra Beauty Day Spa

If you are looking for a true spa, unfortunately this is not the location for you. I came here for a Reflexology Pedicure hoping to have a relaxing experience after a long work week. That was not the case, while this location is clean it is a glorified nail salon that happens to offer spa and hair services.
They have the radio blaring playing Top 40 music-​not relaxing at all. My reflexology massage was just a 5 – 7 minute add on to a very basic pedicure-​ehh.
The only reason why it’s not 1 star is because they are one of the few places in Philadelphia that accept Spa Finder gift cards so I didn’t have to pay :-\

This was the first time I ever went to the spa, so I have nothing to really compare it to, but I would like to warn people about the mani/​pedi I got there. Aweful! The OPI nail polish is not just chipping, but peeling right off. It started doing that a couple hours after I got out of the salon. I got a package deal and it was included but next time, I would just opt out. The facial was nice and relaxing and the woman was telling me what she was doing and why. Very nice. The masseuse was nice too, but I would not say the massage was great. I think I would rather try another place.

This first time I went here, I would certainly have given them a ONE STAR. I went with a small group for a bachelorette party. When the reservation was made, we were told we would all have female masseuse. When we got there, I was told I was scheduled with a male. I was not happy about it, but they had no one else for me. The guy was HORRIBLE! He was breathing really loudly the whole time, and I could hear his stomach gurgling! NOT relaxing, to say the least.
A year later I gave them a second try. This time, my request for a female masseuse was honored. She did a nice job and I was very relaxed. The massage was not amazing, but it was good. I have not been back since for a massage there. However, I’ve been there about 3 or 4 other times for a facial. Lydia does a great job with extraction and my skin always feels great after.
I’m giving the spa 3 stars due to my first bad experience, the just-​ok massage, and the good facial. All that being said, I’m always on the lookout for a better day spa.
