Yes, jam-packed with interesting things, lost for hours, et cetera et cetera. Kinda lousy, though, that they assess your social class and presumed economic status and behave according to a code we schlubs can detect but not overcome.

This is an outstanding store: extremely organized, huge inventory, quality prints, professional staff. I’m glad I live in Philadelphia, but this is still a store that I would make a trip to from a few hours away were I looking for old prints, maps, and posters. You can get lost on this store for hours. We went looking for a large print to hang on our living room wall and found a great original WW1 poster from France. Their selection of this type of print is rather small, instead you will find lots of 19th century prints: botanical, animals, maps, Harper’s weeklies, political cartoons, a fantastic collection of Philadelphia related prints, food, fashion, and I am sure many others that I am leaving out. Of the hundreds of prints I looked at, all were well maintained, most were nicely matted, and many had an explanation with interesting historical facts and notes about the origins of the print. The prices range widely depending on the value of the print. I only have limited knowledge of this type of antique so I cannot say whether they are within the range of normal. I liked that they had some small prints for around $ 30, making this a realistic place to shop even for folks with a modest budget and the need to hang something on the wall.
