The Cutting Point

I went to the salon to get my hair colored for the first time. I’m older and never did it before so it was a bit scary. I didn’t want to make a big splash, just wanted to cover the grey and have my look pumped up a bit. They listen ed to everything I said and I got exactly what I wanted. I am so happy with you the service and the outcome that I got here at the Cutting. Point

I am incredibly pleased with the talent and staff at the Cutting Point. A friend of mine did some research and recommended that I go here after moving from West Chester to the city. Prior to our move we lived in Colorado where I saw the same stylist for many years… and then had a horrific experience in the West Chester area… I have been seeing the same stylist for the past year or so and I have never been happier with my hair. I have had my hair drastically changed and every time I have been incredibly satisfied. I went from being a blonde, to bright red, to dark brown and I am currently making a transition back to blonde. I have never received more compliments on my hair until I started going to The Cutting Point. Really truly happy and I highly recommend.

I honestly can’t say one thing bad about this place! I was always greeted when I came in and never really had a long wait, but then again I always had an appointment. The prices are reasonable.
What really put them over the top for me is when on May 22^nd my daughter had an appointment at Studio 17 to get her hair done for her prom. (the only reason I chose that place is because they were right on my corner) Well needless to say, that place never opened for her appt. I called The Cutting Point and told them of the emergency and they took her as soon as we walked in the door. Not only were they busy with other girls getting their hair done for prom but they took care of my daughter as if she was the only one there.
They have talented and friendly Stylist. The Stylist that took care of my daughter did an amazing job.

I love it here! Everyone is really nice and Amy always does a great job with my hair.

Until moving out of the area about a year ago, I was a regular at this salon for quite a while. Billy is by far the most fun, energetic, creative and intuitive stylist I have had the fortune of dealing with for years. I would HIGHLY recommend him!

I used to go to Cutting Point a lot for my brows, as it’s right down the block from me. They were always late, but in a time frame I could deal with — ie, five minutes. After once waiting over two hours for my brow waxing (yes, I did walk out eventually), I gave up coming here.
Last week I stopped back in while waiting on someone else to have their hair finished. I checked what they advertised on the wall as their «new» site from my phone in the reception area, and it said they did acrylic nails. Figuring it’d be nice and convenient, I went up to the desk to inquire about an appointment. This is exactly what happened:
Me: «Hi, I was wondering if you have any openings for a nail appointment tomorrow? (Saturday)»
Him: «Um…No.»
Me: «What about any time after work next week?»
Him: «Uh…whaddaya want?»
Me: «An acrylic manicure.»
Him: «Oh well, she actually doesn’t do that…»
Me: «But it says so on your new website?»
Him: «Uh yeah. she does fiberglass instead…»
Me: «Well I’ll try that. Do you have any openings?»
Him: *gets up and walks away*
I *totally* understand being booked on a Saturday, but to ignore my repeated polite requests for an appointment at a later date? And to not only ignore it, but to get up, walk away, and not come back? I guess they really don’t need all the business I would provide by coming every two weeks for my nails. It’s a shame, because I would be quite a loyal customer if they had just treated me like a person instead of an annoyance. They only stay in business because of all the stay-​at-​home old ladies that come here.

This is it. Every girl searches for the perfect salon. As I said, this is it. I walked in here on a whim. I needed a change. Amy was amazing. She listened, gave her input and did exactly what we talked about but with flare. My platinum blonde hair, no longer a helmet of one color and same length. It was shining, glorious and all at an amazing price. I would recommend Cutting Point to everyone. Including you, which I am doing now.
