I love the Store… however today 7÷28÷15 I purchased 2 bags of cherries. They looked good but when I brought them home and began eating them I realized that at least half of them were rotten. I am too busy to go to return them so I tossed them… Not long time ago I bought cherries at the same Store and they were all tasteless… Maybe they were too long in the fridge… No idea… That happened to me twice… So please taste before putting them on your shelves… Other than that it’s a good Store.

The store is clean and the staff is nice. Every time I’ve been here the shelves were always stocked. There are many different brands and options to choose from. The prices are reasonable too. They always have awesome sales going on.

While I really like this market in terms of items and prices, some of the people who work there are not the nicest!

Never ever enough registers open, pure insanity. They would rather waste your time than hire more help. SUCKS

This is a nice ShopRite to do your food shopping at. There produce always looks nice and fresh, the bakery everything looks so good, The best time to food shop is early in the morning, shevels are always stocked up.

This is a great store! I do read reviews but a couple of these reviewers are boring, just rambling on and on. Three times you’re reminded that items are neatly arranged, even if they’re between«tons and tons of other crap.» One reviewer even has her own dictionary; gi-normous, giantor. Oh really? And if you’re «super into organic stuff,» a specialty store like an organic grocery should be your choice, not the neighborhood superrmarket. Another reviewer complains about the outdated look — late 80’s, early 90’s. The enrire store was renovated only last year and took months to complete! Anyway, I guess this was a one time visit.

Pretty good store. They have a big kosher section which is nice. Prices are reasonable, but it’s evident that the store is older. Shop rite should update their store like they have with others in the area.

Great sales like the yearly can-can and a good selection of specialty foods at reasonable prices in close proximity to my home. This cements Shoprite into my destinations when doing the grocery rounds. It has been newly renovated and the manager is pretty agreeable when you request rain checks or special orders.

Shop Rite, as a company, looks to be in a bit of a «revamp» mode. They have newer stores with much more modern looks. This particular location is not one of them. The look is definitely late 80’s — early 90’s. It could definitely use some modern design upgrades. However, what this location lacks in style, it makes up for with a deceptively large store, a huge selection of goods and the smarts to keep large numbers of registers open. As I said, the selection here is top notch. They cater to a large Jewish community with a nice, and comprehensive, selection of kosher items and classic Jewish delicacies. But that’s really only the tip of the iceberg here. I’ve been hard pressed to find a much better general selection. The one downfall is in the area of fresh fruits and veggies. The variety just doesn’t hold up to the rest of the store, or even other stores within the area. A perfect example is Oranges. They seem to only carry standard oranges. So if you’re looking for the smaller«Cuties» or even tangerines, you’re likely out of luck. The only other real downside to this place it’s the location and parking lot. Getting in and out of this shopping center can be a nightmare. The entrances and exits to he center were never properly adjusted as the larger chain stores moved in, so you get overcrowding as you try to get in and out of here. While not the fault of Shop rite, it can put a damper on the visit here. In the end, the outdated look, poor fresh fruits and vegetable selection and frustratingly bad shopping center location can make for a frustrating experience. However, the rest of the stores selection is quite impressive. The prices are fair, the staff keep the place well stocked and the lines moving. If you can look past its problems, you will find a good grocery store here.

This Shop Rite is gi-normous and has a little of everything. Quantity is not quality, however, and being super into organic stuff and fresh produce, I found it somewhat lacking in this department. Despite it’s huge product section, it had only a very small organic section and this was mostly packaged stuff like juices(they did have acai, which is neat) and fake meat products made of soy etc. I wanted to get some cilantro, which their regular produce section did have, however it didn’t look or smell fresh to me so I did not buy it. Otherwise the produce looked good in generally and neatly arranged. However while I was there some manager came up to someone an employee and began yelling at him and other employees in the general area about how useless they were. It was loud and kind of weird and sort of characteristic of NE Philadelphia if you were to buy into stereotypes. It was weird. It was something I’d expect to hear from a frustrated high school gym teacher, not a grocery store manager in front of customers. Anyhow, the store has a lot of specialty sections including a sandwich making station, their own bakery, a huge kosher section complete with a kosher deli and meats, another deli section, and just tons and tons of other crap. Your basic retail nightmare of a giantor selection. But it was neatly arranged and the aisles were wide enough for rapid egress should insanity suddenly besiege you. In conclusion, the store is huge and has a huge variety of stuff that seems in place and neat. However I would not go there unless I was in the area and happened to need something, which was the case. I would not go here for fresh produce, however, I would try somewhere more local or that carries some local produce.
