Scubadelphia

Dave & Melissa are fantastic! Scubadelphia has opened up a whole new world to me. As someone who has always loved the ocean and sea life, they really made a dream come true by helping me become scuba certified. If you are even curious about trying scuba, Scubadelphia is the best shop in the are hands down.
They made it so comfortable. After having failed miserably at Discover Scuba in Greece, I reached out to Scubadelphia to get fully certified before a trip to Australia. What set Scubadelphia apart from the other shops in the area was their friendliness. I had done a lot of homework and called all of the shops and none of them were as welcoming as Dave & Melissa. They are genuinely excited for you to experience diving and are great with beginners. It’s clear your safety is their top priority.
They are incredibly knowledgeable whether advising on gear and the technical aspects of diving or just helping you work through a course.
I’ve traveled with them and their trips are fantastic! From local diving in NJ, whale sharks in Honduras, shipwrecks and sharks in North Carolina, ice diving in Vermont to the ultimate diving in the Galapagos Islands, traveling with Scubadelphia is always a blast!
There is a wonderful community of divers in the area and the dive meetings at Scubadelphias are also a lot of fun. Its great to meet other local divers and their speakers are amazing!
Now, two years later, I’ve done Open Water, Advanced and Nitrox courses with plans to sign up for Rescue Diver. I couldn’t be happier to have found such a great shop with even better people.

This is a great dive shop right in Philly, close to NJ. Dave and Melissa run a top notch shop, offering classes, dive charters, great gear at fair prices. They’re always friendly, helpful and professional! And they know how to treat people right.
I took rescue diver class with them and it was terrific!
Check out the dive club they started too… Philadelphia Seahorses. The dive club meetings are always interesting with guest speakers.

This is by far the best dive shop in the area and are quickly becoming the most comprehensive since they are expanding into tech diving. Dave and Melissa offer excellent classes and local diving as well as trips and treat their customers with respect and kindness. Keep up the good work guys.

Want the guidance of a true professional? This is the spot! I learned my lesson the hard way in Cancun — don’t expect a professional dive master, or modern equipment when you are in Mexico. From now on, I will be taking my own regulator and bcd, at the very least. Thanks to Scubadelphia for their excellent advice.
