I go to this Saxby’s pretty often because it’s really close to my office. I always prefer them to Starbucks. The coffee is better and the people are nicer. Often it is filled with college students, but there is a ton of seating so it’s never really an issue. I have gotten their Milk & Honey Cold Brew and it’s really great. Coffee sweetened with honey. I wouldn’t think it would be good but it is! They have an amazing array of sweets, and their chocolate chip cookie is great. For every $ 20 you spend you get $ 2 in rewards, and if you join their mailing list they sometimes give out free things!

my… how so much has changed in so little time. the few times i stopped in here after the first time, the service has just gone downhill. attitudes by the girls behind the counter and coffee that is just not ok. i mean… i don’t expect wonderful and amazing… but i also don’t expect 711 quality coffee for $ 3. i’m better off walking to 711 and paying $ 1 for coffee.

It’s now been twice that I’ve been here and they’ve run out of coffee, meanwhile a worker behind the counter is texting on their phone or otherwise not working on making more coffee.

Came here in the afternoon to study and it was the perfect study spot! They had plenty of space either indoors or outdoors and everywhere was very new and clean. What a comprehensive latte selection, I had trouble deciding. I went with the Milky Way latte and will just have to come back for the other delicious options. I loved that they provided water for the guests as many people looked to be here for a length of time.

Everyone working here is always friendly. I do prefer the seating options at the Haverford location. Only downside was the music was a bit loud.

Best iced chai tea latte in the business! But not much else left to admire, especially in the baked goods section :(

Allergy season sucks, right? What does this have to do with my coffee/breakfast sandwich order? Well, while waiting for my food, I couldn’t help but notice an employee standing behind the counter. And for a total of about 4.5 minutes, I watched her rub her eyes. Like finger deep into her eye goop over, and over, and over again. I couldn’t help but stare, and think, why does she have to do this in front of everyone, or right over the fruit to make my smoothie with, or next to the toaster that would toast my bagel, instead of going in the back and handling her business? And yes, allergies or getting something in our eye, happens to the best of us. But the clincher is this. In between all of this eye digging, she proceeded to go to the touchscreen register, and start ringing someone up, wiping that eye goop all over that screen for the next person to rub on. ANDTHEN, a customer had an issue with her sandwich, something like, it needed to be reheated or something, so the employee reached out with these unwashed fingers, and grabbed her sandwich and started handling it. I was just disgusted watching this all happen. Have these people been taught any food industry/sanitary standards? Luckily, I watched another girl make my sandwich, and used this to justify eating my breakfast since i was starving. When i got up to leave, the same girl was still standing in the dead center of the service counter, now stuffing food in her mouth with one hand, playing on her cellphone with the other. Am i the only one who doesn’t want to eat here ever again after seeing this? Make sure to check out my 2 photos showing this — one of her digging at her eyes, and the other of her grabbing the woman’s sandwich. If you see her working, tell her you want someone else to make your food!

Dropped in for coffee for Alex and tea for Amy on opening day. The place was fairly packed; low ceilings made it quite noisy and I would be hesitant to study in the space, but rather keep it for social gatherings. My iced americano was good, nothing to write home about. The beans are well roasted, reminiscent of Starbucks. Amy’s raspberry iced tea was similarly mundane, but fine for the price. Come here for a reliable caffeine fix, and not an enchanting experience.
