It’s a corner bar .don’t go expecting the ritz. but the atmosphere is USUALLY pretty grown.25 and up… I’ve met tons of people there just grabbing a bite. it’s not the biggest joint so you really can’t help sparking a conversation with people near u… Ok…u want the best bartender. .ask for Anna… if she’s not there good luck lol The food… is pretty consistent and appetizing. .some great choices are the surf and turf burger, salmon Ceasars salad. Cajun wings, turkey burger… fries are good for soaking up alcohol Kitchen closes at 10 on weekdays so order early Margaritas are great. depending on bartender. again ask for ANNA lol Its rarely crowded unless there’s a party or game so parking is pretty easy to find on the street.

I went to Reuben’s Marc bar last night. I ordered food. I ordered a burger med-well. After waiting 45 mins, I took a big bite and found out It was super well done. I had them send it back. So about 20 mins, here comes my new burger. Why did the dumb ass cook, make me a new burger, but kept the same old ass cold bun and crab meat. I am looking at this new burger with a big ass bite mark missing out of the bun. And he didn’t put the cheese back on. Then I sent it back, and here I see the cook complaining and catching attitude. So, u know I dont play. I said f’ it and got my money back. When I see the owner, I gonna tell him about this crap. SMH! Usually, it is a decent experience, so was very shocked this time around.

Just a little torn. I went with a friend to see one of my favorite artists perform. I didn’t know that this place was an actual bar. Since I don’t usually go to bars I don’t know if dark and gloomy is how it’s supposed to be. Once we actually found the place(because the address is tricky. 8131 my foot. It is on the corner of Stenton Ave but if you go to the 8100 block of Stenton Ave, you’ve gone too far. The actual address is Stenton & Mt. Pleasant.) Anyway the neighborhood is really nice /quiet. However the inside was dark and small. The event was on the second floor which once we made it up the tiny, dark stairwell was nice but again reeeeeally small. No lie, there was only room enough for four people and their equipment. Not another soul could have fit on that stage. We sat right next to the stage which meant we got a good view but seriously everyone had a good view unless you sat at the long table behind someone with big hair. Surprisingly, the food was quite good. No complaints there. Will I go back? Not sure. I want to like this place. If they brought back another one of my favorite artists, definitely but just to hang out… probably not. Not my speed.

Golden Monkey on tap! Great wings and collard greens. The staff are pleasant and there’s usually a professional grown up crowd. Drinks are great at average prices. That Thursday night karaōke can be pure talent or borderline comedy(saw a little white dude destroy a Boys II Men song)!!

Venue = 4 stars Drinks & food = 2 stars Attended a cousins bday party and the layout of the bar is nice however the Long Island ice tea was not good. I’ve never seen a lime green one before or one that didn’t have cola in it. Also the hot wings were not seasoned ATALL! Luckily I didn’t have to pay since my cousin got a tab so the drinks were comp’ed. I would go back to see what the service is like on a weekend. I’ll be honest, I was leery of this place since the shooting but this is far from the rep it used to have.

Some of the best soul food at a bar I’ve had! Thursdays can be crowded though so I would advise you to get there early if you need a seat. Drinks aren’t cheap at all. But worth every penny. Margarita time! Plenty on street parking too.

I like this place, I went here to grab a bite to eat and a drink with a friend who lives near by. On arrival there is plenty of non meter parking on local blocks which is a great change from the city where you feel every spot is susceptible to high fines, tickets and towing. We get to the door and my friend is fully patted down and checked for weapons, now I guess you can say this is a sketchy area but no where near as bad going north area. We sit down and I order a beer dirt cheap $ 3 and wings $ 8, The wings took a Small while to cook but were worth the wait it was piping hot, crispy and sauced very well. The Blue cheese on the side and celery were both good as well. They don’t really have a dance floor but room to get up and dance and loud enough volume where you could vibe too or speak up enough to have a conversation. Overall I will visit this place again. ;)

Been here a couple of times for karaōke on Thursday nights. The staff is friendly and food is good. Drinks are a little pricey, but it’s worth it. I’ll be back!
