We visited on a Wednesday and were greeted and seated quickly. The staff were jovial and humorous. Our starts were a beet soup with horseradish cream. Velvety consistency, I love getting the true flavor of a food in a texture foreign to it’s original shape, like being able to sip beets. The cream was mild and off set the beet nicely. The asparagus salad was again perfectly cooked soft egg, toothsome asparagus, crispy bacon. Delightful We ordered the infamous fried chicken and we’re not disappointed. Each bite was super crisp, super moist and super flavorful. The accompanying waffle stood alone as a delicious bite and the kale was also seasoned and cooked perfectly. Mushroom bahn mi bread was crisp enough yet still soaked up all of the(surprisingly) spicy sauce n pickle juice. Another win with this dish. Kudos to a house made dessert option, balderdash that there is only one option. The only negative was how incredibly loud it was. The small space was not full, nor was the bar area and at times we could not hear each other with out screaming across the two top. Certainly I would give 5 stars if not for the acoustics.

Just based on the Bahn Mi sandwich, the food at Resurrection is delicious. The sandwich had mushrooms, pickled carrots, and cilantro on a baguette. The fries were well seasoned, but they were all very small so it was a little annoying to eat. They have a decent beer selection. I didn’t look at the bottle list, but they did have around 15 – 20 beers on tap. I was happy(and hoppy) with the Union Jack IPA. Service was phenomenal! By far the best part of the meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and I couldn’t ask for anything more. We were seated at a tiny two-top(and it really was tiny – just enough room for our drinks and food and literally nothing else) right by the big, open window. It was a nice night so sitting there almost made me feel like I was eating outside. Resurrection is definitely worth trying, if you haven’t already.

This might be a record for updated reviews, but RAH is my neighborhood bar and it’s been a while since my last update. With the recent change in chefs, now seems like a good time. The food going on at Resurrection right now is fantastic. I used to hate the constant menu changes but I’ve grown to love them because it keeps things fresh and different. The 5 – 7 weekday happy hour is great but even better is the 6 – 10 Sunday happy hour. That’s a dangerous way to end the weekend. Bar snacks are priced around $ 8 – 10 each. We ordered three on our recent visit(kale salad, cavatelli and soup) to share. We polished those off and had to check out the menu again, this time opting to share a «big plate» of mushroom risotto. The risotto was delicious but not at all what I would consider a big plate. Multiple dishes add up quickly here, so if all you really want is a snack, you’re in for a delicious treat. But if you’re hungry, I’d recommend selecting something from the sandwiches section or the fried chicken plate, which is plenty of food.

Really good!!! Their frites with egg and bacon, Jalapeño is a must get too. And a must get is their fried chicken. So crispy! And not oily at all.
I am pretty sure this place has changed hands. I had the PB.L.T.. …$ 12 Pork Belly, lettuce, tomato, pink peppercorn mayo. I was hoping for a more flavorful sandwich. Disappointed.
