Top quality foods from Spain are sold at Quince, and their coffee is fab. Friendly service and very clean. Must go back soon.

Quince is a gem! After having visited Spain, Quince is my favorite place to get my Serrano manchego fix. The sandwiches and salads are great and light and the cheese plates are always beautiful. The staff is always friendly and polite and really take the time to accommodate any request. They offer great Metropolitan bread products and coffee from local roasters. Can’t wait for my next quince special:)

This is a great little sandwich and soup shop — they’ve recently added indoor seating, too! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the staff(including the mother-daughter owners) are just lovely!

The soup is very good as are the sandwiches, and whenever I’m in search of some fancy cheese and crackers this is my place, and the people there are amazing

This place is a gem! It’s location stinks for getting passersby, so it’s not as popular as they deserve. An excellent place for picking up very high quality ingredients, delightful lunches, and chatting with the friendly staff. They sell Reanimator coffee, which is worth the trip, and then pick up some cheese and jars of preserves.

Finally had a week day off and was able to walk around the corner and try this west Girard Avenue pioneer. Needed to get a quick lunch for 4. Decided to try their soup and sandwich combo. Soup was corn chowder and this was excellent. A velvety base with potatoes and subtle seasonings, but bursting with fresh crisp kernels of corn. 2 of the sandwiches were served on an excellent hearth baked whole wheat and the other two on a crisp and chewy baguette. Inside was fresh turkey, provolone, avocado, heirloom lettuce and red ripe tomato. My guests raved and I’m raving about Quince now. Definitely a neighborhood treasure. Can’t wait to go back.

Super friendly owners and quality products. Since they specialize in Spanish foods, there’s not a huge selection but they always a handful of authentic and really fresh cheeses and cured meats. I was introduced to the wonderful Spanish cured pork loin«lomo» there. I have been addicted ever since. I ordered lomo once at Garces Trading and it wasn’t nearly as good as the stuff I got at Quince. In the summer I’ll stop by Quince after work, grab a baguette, some Manchego and/or goat cheese, some lomo or serrano ham, maybe some olives and marinated anchovies, take it all home and crack an ice cold bottle of Cava and I’m transported back to the Spanish countryside. It’s the perfect meal on those hot summer days when you don’t feel like cooking. So glad to have Quince nearby…

I come for their awesome soups and I wish they had more selections. The Mulligatawny and Cream of Tomato w/Chicken Orzo is the bee’s knees! They have different soups every other day and it never disappoints when I try a new one. Their sandwiches are no exception and the ladies there are so sweet and welcoming.

Great place in very convenient location on 2nd and Girard. The cheese spread was mint and very reasonably priced. I got a nice wedge of Mahon, 5 Dolmas, and a baguette for 9 bucks! I was very pleased and went back the next day for lunch. Prosciutto Sandwich and Pasta Fagioli– $ 8 The sandwich came with very thinly(the way it should be) sliced prushoot, fresh mozzarella that crumbled instead of snapped in your mouth, pesto lathered on a baguette, and roasted peppers. The fagioli was clearly homemade and delicious. I’m in love This place is great! Side note: The woman that rang me up at the register(who I believe was Italian or Portuguese) was absolutely gorgeous.

I wish I knew about this place sooner but glad we found it only a few months into moving back to Philly. We were in search of soup and didn’t want to drive over to Center City for DiBruno Bros so the Unilocal search app suggested this place, right near our apt to boot! The owner was super nice, we got the 7 Herbed Chicken soup which comes with a roll. The selection of cheeses was so tempting, believe me when I say it is good to know that Cambozola is available only a few blocks from my house! The soup was absolutely lovely and made it much easier to watch NORESERVATIONS that evening; I felt like the food I was eating was better than the food Bourdain was touting on his show! I will be happy to support this small shop in the future and if you’re in the No-Libs /Girard area then you should too !

A friend and I attended a cheese tasting at Quince. We went being excited for the cheese and beer pairings and left being so excited to have discovered Quince. The store is adorable and carries a great selection of cheese and cheese related extras. The owner is just as great as her store. I am so pleased to have discovered Quince!

I tutor on Master street and walk there from the Girard Metro stop. Usually I walk as fast as I can as it’s dark out and I don’t quite like to wander in the area. One night, I was early to tutor and didn’t feel like sitting and waiting, so I walked a little slower and decided to stop in a store where I could get something sweet. From the outside, Quince looks organized and clean,(and open at 6pm), so I walked in to find a very friendly owner in her shop. I was really impressed with everything in the store: jams, cheeses, spreads, and soups/sandwiches as others have mentioned. I, of course, had to satiate my craving and bought chocolate covered peanuts, choco covered cherries, choco covered almonds and the owner was so nice, she let me sample the toffee almonds from her own bag that she had bought(which made me pick up a bag of those too)! :-)(I bought many bags because there’s a $ 10 minimum to using your credit card.) Definitely worth stopping by and taking a look! I found where I’m going to go every time I tutor!

After a solid recommendation from a friend, my boyfriend and I visited Quince for an afternoon snack. After being warmly welcomed, the owner made our sandwiches to order. I tried the Quince special, a manchego and quince jam sandwich and the boyfriend tried the Cambozola. SODELICIOUS. Served on a fresh baguette, these sandwiches paired with a homemade soup was so satisfying. I only wish Quince was located closer to where I live, my only disappointment with this place. However, whenever I’m in the neighborhood, despite how hungry I may or may not be, I always stop in and get a sandwich to go.

Quince is: 1. Full of tasty treats! You name it: jams, cheeses, pasta, tea, cookies, pastry, and snacks! 2. The best place to get a variety of super-fresh, homemade soups, sandwiches and salads. 3. A brave, sweet, and super-local endeavor in North Philly that you should support! Bring positive commerce and local businesses to Girard for a little neighborhood reclamation.

I’m always skeptical when I visit a 5-star rated place, but Quince’s rating is well deserved. I recommend getting the combo for $ 8, which gets you sandwhich, chips, and a home-made drink(hibiscus tea, anyone?). Definitely a gem on Girard.

My co-worker and I popped in here to grab a bit to eat for lunch this past week. This shop is tiny but packs a lot in without being overwhelming. They sell cheeses, meats, bread, sauces, jams, and sweets. They also sell sandwiches and soup. The owner, who was working, was very pleasant and offered us a sample of the soups. There’s always a vegetarian option, and she even sells the things needed to make some of the sandwiches. The dolmas that are sold are really, really good and they were devoured while driving back to work. The sandwich that we both bought was campozola(which is a type of cheese I never had), walnuts, and vidalia onion fig sauce on a roll. It was amazing, my co-worker described it as «eating a farm.» It was a hearty sandwich with a collaboration of flavors. I would definitely head back to Quince! P. S. They also sell Bobbi’s black bean hummus, which is garlicky black bean goodness and I recommend this product to anyone. It’s made in Philly!
