I found Stephanie on Unilocal back during one of the snowstorms this past winter. I gave her a call one morning and was lucky enough to get an appointment that afternoon. I chose to get the 90 minute massage and it was so worth it! I have serious neck/​shoulder tension. My muscles are so tight that it physically makes me sick to my stomach. She provided me with a wonderful massage and I walked out of there feeling fabulous! My tension disappeared! I keep meaning to make another appointment with her soon. I would definitely go back to her again. Thanks for your help!

Just an update — June will mark two years of my steady monthly visits to Stephanie. I stand by my original review — she’s the best!

If you’re looking for a massage therapist… look no further! Stephanie does amazing work with everyone from me, who has run-​of-​the-​mill shoulder stress to my mom, who battles a chronic illness. Her knowledge coupled with her ability to relieve my shoulder soreness and tension was amazing. I will absolutely be returning!
I entered her office, which is located in her home (where there is free street parking!), and was in one of the warmest and welcoming environments you could imagine. She then went over what I was looking for and approached her work thoughtfully.
As she worked, she made sure that the pressure was alright and that I was comfortable. She checked in after the massage as well. It was the perfect balance of warmth and professionalism that’s needed to do this work. Afterward, my neck, shoulders and the rest of my body were in perfect alignment.
As I mentioned, I was recommended to her by mother, who suffers from chronic arthritis. My mom refers to Stephanie as a miracle worker and after going to her, I can’t disagree!

Stephanie maintains a comfortable and relaxing space. She is a kind and considerate practitioner. I am not an easy person to work on or to please where massage is concerned, as my back has given me a lot of trouble for many years, and I have additional painful areas in my neck and knees. Stephanie provided a competent, mild-​moderate deep-​tissue session. My pain was improved overall by @ 70% when the massage was over, and today (the day after) I still have less pain and better range of motion in my neck than I usually do.

I first started going to Stephanie when she was at Balance and am glad she is somewhere nearby now that she’s gone into business for herself. She makes you feel comfortable, doesn’t rush you, and the only stressful part is when you think the end of the hour is nearing !!!

I first went to Stephanie when my little one was a couple of months old (and I had a toddler too) — I was physically and emotionally drained/​sore/​you-​name-​it. Stephanie put her hands on me and I felt the tension melt away. It was almost magical. No actually it WAS magical! She was incredible in every way — in her energy as well as the way she could really work my muscles but never doing anything too hard either.

Stephanie is a skilled and knowledgeable massage therapist. She charges a reasonable fee for for sessions that incorporate multiple modalities of massage and would cost a lot more at other studios. Her studio and practice are calm, comfortable, and relaxing.

Stephanie knows what she is doing! After my massage I felt very relaxed yet energized. She hit all the spots that needed work, including places connected to the places that needed work. Highly recommended.
