Really cute little café! I had a nice lunch here. The prices are pretty decent considering how much food you get. A great place to grab a sandwich! Bread was insanely good. I’ll be coming back.

When I look back upon my life, I will remember Petit Roti as the location of where I had the coldest chicken sandwich in the most miserable feeling restaurant in Philadelphia. I have been to greasy Chinese food trucks that had more charm than this place.

Wow, I love this place. I just ate the heirloom pork au jus sandwich. The pork was moist and tender. It comes with flavorful caramelized onions and roasted red peppers. The Dijon was delicious but sinus clearing. I might ask them to lighten up on the mustard next time. I can’t remember the last time I ate such a satisfying lunch and at $ 5.50 for «le petit» (about 5 or 6 inches long), it was a bargain.

When I learned the owners of Zinc started a casual place next door I had to check it out and was not disappointed. The attention to detail and meticulous adherence to French technique and ingredients is just as evident as it is at Zine but with more basic food. The hot chicken sandwich is amazing and baguettes are as good as the ones I had in France. I love the little French market as well.

Just finished my chicken as jus sandwich and it was delicious! I had the petit lunch which included potatoes and vegetables. The chicken was moist and the flavor was elevated with the roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, and Dijon mustard. The bread was also fresh and delicious. I will be eating here again!

Chicken sandwich au jus was very good; the bread, while not authentic crusty baguettes, was awesome (you can be forgiven if it tastes great!). Roasted potatoes were very good, probably some of the better ones I’ve had in the city (crispy yet moist, which is tough to do). Beet salad was somewhat standard, yet delicious, as beets are so damn tasty by themselves. And they weren’t overcooked like most places seem to get wrong, so they had that going for them. Ambiance was super cute too.
Highly recommended. Only drawbacks were it was a tad pricey and bit salty, although the salt was less than most restaurants). I was pretty full after eating ½ sandwich and 1 side, however, so I guess you get what you pay for. I for one prefer high quality smaller portions, so that’s a plus for me.

In the search for great rotisserie chicken I came across this subtle place. Outside it might look like just a regular market, but once you get inside, the smell alone will make you want to order ASAP. I went on a lunch and devour a half chicken and vegetables, this is one of the best rotisserie chicken in Philly! The service was also great! Will definitely come back again. Make sure to bring money because you will spend here

This place prides itself on serving «Amish Chickens.» What does that mean exactly? Are they not allowed to watch TV? Do they grow little chicken beards and wear little straw hats? Well, whatever they are doing out there, it’s working. These sandwiches are flat out delicious. I had a chicken salad and it was amazing. The bread is fresh and toothsome (am I in Paris?). The mixed roasted veggies was a pleasing side (hooray for Parsnips). Outdoor seating was great for people watching on a nice day. Interesting selection of drinks, snacks and other provisions. The bathroom is really clean. There are two main problems however which prevent it from getting a 5^th star. First the menu is confusing. The board is kinda nuts. A half portion is «petit» and more than enough for one person. Two can split the full size. The second problem is that the service is not quick. It’s unclear if there’s a line, or who is being served, if there’s more than one customer wanting to order, it can quickly become a dire situation. I guess that’s part of the European feel. But overall go there and enjoy. Just make sure you aren’t in a rush.

This is a great new spot. Yes, their sandwiches are more expensive than Jimmy Johns. But unlike Jimmy John’s I am certain that the chicken is actually chicken, in fact delicious chicken. Not only is the meat great, but it comes inside some wonderful bread with some great condiments.
I’ve also gotten a to go dinner that was equally as delightful as their sandwiches. If I could eat roasted chicken and veggies from here everyday, I would. As a bonus, they also sell some hard to find French products. You’re missing out if you don’t try the mustard from Meaux.

The freshest soup and sandwich I’ve ever tasted. This place raised the bar for lunch in Philadelphia. Two guys behind the counter were super friendly and helpful. My new favorite place in the city.

Walked by a million times and for some reason I avoided — like I thought I was going to have to think too hard to order? Anyway, I’m glad I’m over that hump — I ordered a half chicken with mixed roast vegetables to eat in — and it was MAGNIFIQUE. Not to mention it’s a really lovely place to sit and eat — you won’t realize this until you actually step inside, order and sit at a table. Which is why you’re going to do it.
Petit Roti will be on the regular rotation — which may be a pun (roti … anybody?) Also — picked up an outstanding baguette (I don’t know where Philly offers better), a great blue cheese and cherry jam and … p. s. ridiculously delicious midnight snack. And that was before the crème de marron (creamed chestnut paste in a can, which is a traditional crêpe filling. Usually you can only find the whole chestnuts in a jar. This, my French friends, is le pay dirt.

Petit roti is a very cute, quaint place to get some delicious chicken and veggies. It is a bit pricey though.
The chicken is definitely a winner. It’s very plump and delicious. However, the chicken sandwich is another story. The chicken sandwich taste dry. It really need something to give a extra punch besides just chicken and bread.
The prime rib is obviously quality meat and it was very tender, but it was also dry.
I liked the roasted vegetables. They had an assortment of potatoes, beets, turnips, carrots, and etc. Great sides.
I’d come back for the chicken again, but I’m not sure if I’m in love with this place or their prices.

I had the Jambon sandwich and the Mushroom Chicken Soup.
Loved both and will be back. The soup was a broth based soup. Hardy with potatoes, onions and peas.
The roll… that roll is what dreams are made of.

Given that it is the new spot in Washington Square, and by reading the positive few reviews about it, I was so excited to try it with high expectations. I ordered the Chicken Au Jus and I added Provolone, and caramelized onion for $ 1.5 each. Total price for my order came to around $ 12.15. Anyway my PRICEY sandwich was forgettable, boring, dry and tasteless– like my EX-​boyfriend (the baguette, however, was amazing). Still nothing special, I can prepare a better one and I don’t cook to save my life. Very disappointing!!! Actually I’m very surprised by the reviews here, so I might give it another shot and try something else, the place might have a potential. I have to say that I liked the pantry selection, which again were little on the overpriced side.

This quaint french rotisserie across from Jefferson is exactly what this part of Philly needs. Artisanal french cheeses, great sandwiches on fresh baguette, delicious!
We only came for a quick bite at lunch but they sell full roasted chickens with sides too.
We’ll definitely return, great job!

This place is simply amazing! The roast pork sandwich is delicious (make sure you get provolone and roasted peppers on it).

They’ve been open about a week and I’ve been there three times. It helps that the place is delightful, warm, and inviting but it’s really the delicious food that keeps luring me in. I hope they keep it up!
Sandwiches: jambon-​beurre (classic and yummy), chicken salad (loved it; combines perfectly with the little veggies, it’s filling yet not heavy like chicken salads can be), porc au jus (winner!)
I have to talk about the porc au jus sandwich separately because it’s truly delicious. The meat is juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. I devoured the combination of the meat, the baguette, and the melting gruyère (optional). Definitely going for another one tomorrow because I’m still in shock that it was so good.
I am so excited about this place that I picked up a roasted amish chicken for dinner last night. This, too, was really good, moist on the inside, crackling skin, perfectly seasoned. I really appreciate that they do not over-​salt or use unnecessary spices as I’m getting salt/​spice-​fatigue from restaurants these days.
There are only two minor things: the bread crust (inside is soft) is a bit too hard for my taste, and the roasted vegetables that come with the chicken have excellent taste but they are unevenly cooked – beets and potatoes were perfect; carrots and turnips (? not sure because I could not bite into it) were uncooked but somehow dessicated.
Everything I’ve tried had clean flavors and I hope they keep it up so I can become a regular.

Woah! The rotisserie chicken was DELISH! I shared the small with my friend which came with roasted potatoes and veggies so good. We also got the Jambon sandwich. Don’t judge… Everything was terrific!
