I stopped in here with my husband after lunch to see what the fuss was all about after he said it was full of things I would like. He was right! There was a nice variety of hand made items in various price ranges. Naturally you get what you pay for and the sterling silver bracelets in the $ 200+ price range were gorgeous. I bought a pretty silver plated cuff bracelet for $ 12 and I love it. No two jewelry items were the same and if you like turquoise and amber gems, this is a good spot to check out. I also saw unique swords, daggers, clothing and traditional Tibetan ritual items. I was enchanted as the genuinely amicable owner patiently and happily explained to me the symbolic ornaments of wisdom and method. Anyone who tells you it’s too expensive obviously only looked in the silver case!

The day before I travel home for Christmas, I’m in a rush to get to work, and I realize I still need to do some shopping. Enter what I always just refer to as «The Tibet Store.» Mom’s earrings were a little more than I was looking to spend, but she loved them — they were her style but still managed to be a bit different than everything else she owns. And she and her sister both got pashminas(at a great price!). But what I really love about this store is the owner. He’s just a genuinely nice guy, never pushy at all, who really respects his customers. He’s not just running a store, he’s doing something for his people and his community. And I have never even walked by this store without getting a smile from him. Altogether too rare most places, and definitely making this little shop 4-stars.

This is a really cool place. Though I would never buy anything from here, its definitely an interesting place to browse. They had some cute flowy dresses and skirts but they were priced entirely too high for the flimsy quality. The Tibetan jewelry was gorgeous though very expensive. One bracelet was priced at over $ 200! Even though it was cute, I would never buy pricey merchandise from a little hole-in-the wall place such as that. Even so, I had a great time wandering around this place and I am sure that you will too.
