Pathmark isn’t far from my second home, great place for me to pick up last minute items. Also, the steamed seafood and precooked food isn’t bad at all. I have a neutral feeling for the staff and the pricing is reasonable compared to other local markets.

I actually thought I reviewed this place, but I guess I only wrote a tip. I hate this Pathmark. This Pathmark once gave me a counterfeit $ 10 bill from their self-checkout machine. I recognized it right away and told the cashier who was running the machines. Do you know they actually gave me a hard time about giving me another ten dollar bill? I had to speak to two managers and go through an interrogation just to get what was owed to me. The sad part is, the cashier was standing right next to me when the money came out of the machine, and they STILL treated me like I was some kind of criminal. Another time, an old lady cut in front of me in line, and the cashier ALLOWED her to do it. I ended up walking out and leaving my groceries on the checkout counter. Needless to say, I try to avoid this Pathmark. I only go here when I absolutely have to, and that’s usually in the morning, on the way to work.

This is my fall-back, work-hours supermarket. I only go here when I know for a fact there is a sale. There isn’t anything wrong with it per say. Actually when thinking about it, the store is clean and well-organized. I’ve only interacted with the staff in the check out line; the cashiers aren’t unpleasant but they aren’t friendly. With a Target and an ACME so close by I end up going to the others by default. Although those aren’t the greatest either, they are a little bit more lively and the other shoppers more closely match my demographic.
