We’ve been ordering from here almost 3 yrs now & each time has been just as good, if not better than the last. They’re always friendly when taking our order. The food arrives super hot & fresh & on time. Their pizza is classic New England style dough, which is on the cusp of deep-dish style. The crust is bubbly & crispy which holds up to any topping, yummy sauce & tasty cheese. Their rolls are always very soft & fresh & they have some of the best fries in the area. Good quality all around. I highly recommend!

Meh. How this place has any good reviews is beyond me. I wanted a slice and mozzarella sticks for my daughter. They don’t do slices only«personal» pizzas. What pizza place doesn’t do slices??? I ordered the personal pizza and mozzarella sticks and sat down to wait. The counter girl was really nice however she needs to put her phone down and work. The place was DEAD. That should of been my first clue. All the workers were sitting on their ass conversing and playing on their phones. I also witnessed a conversation they were having where they were talking trash about a customer. I heard the full customer name and address which for their privacy I will not repeat. The mozzarella sticks were nasty which says a lot because it’s really hard to screw them up. The pizza was extremely greasy. The whole bottom of the box was covered in grease which also got on my seat. I will NEVER go back here.

Since we moved to the north east, we were on a mission to find a great pizza place and it looks like we found it. Great crust, savory pizza and toppings. Highly recommended.

Been going here since I was a kid(big for birthday parties 40+ years ago) and it’s continued to be a good reliable option when I’m back to visit family. Dependable, big menu, affordable, fast. Features the Greek-style pizza — eggy, puffy crust, sweet-ish sauce — commonly found in New England. Ditto«grinders» — hot subs rare elsewhere including eggplant parm. Better for takeout as the interior is kind of tired. The one constant in my old NE philly neighborhood.

Update: I decided to return the following day to get the same sandwiches. It was like going to a totally different place. Different quality and got the order wrong! So, this place is off my list. Disappointed with my former deli, so I gave this place a try. Wow! Turkey hoagie awesome and the ham on Rye was delicious. Tons of meat, tomatoes, and fresh lettuce. This is my new go to spot.

Absolutely an awful dining experience. I have been a customer at this establishment at least quarterly since college, now age 61. The steak pizza, our normal order, was burned top and bottom. The owner openly and vilely disrespected a young female waitress. Our table and another table defended her. Who needs this aggravation when dining out? I will never go back to this restaurant again. I only wish our waitress, an employee there of 4 years under the same owner, could afford to walk out tonite. He was a disgraceful example of a «manager»!

I believe in giving credit where due. They have one of the best cheese steaks that I have ever tasted. The pizza is good. Their prices are very reasonable. They are also very friendly. Unfortunately, they need a lot of work. It’s not the condition of the place or the fact that they don’t turn air on in summer and you have to eat in the heat; it’s the dirty habits of the employees. I was there a week ago and the girl who answers the phone and takes orders actually pulled her hair band out and started shaking her head to fluff her hair. She then continuously ran her fingers through her hair before reinserting the hair band. A few days ago, I returned to eat again and witnessed 3, count them 3 waitresses put their fingers in their noses. I realize that people do this subconsciously, but to do it around found, NO! TO be honest, there are way too many people in the kitchen area. The owner/manager occasionally comes out to the dining area to mess with the young girls who work there. My advice: teach your wait staff not to pick their noses or fix their hair while working. Get all of those people out of the kitchen, but change NOTHING about the food. That’s delicious!

I would not take my ex-wife here to eat. Here is my experience and observations. The place has turned in to DUMP. Smelly, dirty, dusty, cob webs in the corners of the ceiling. You can see in the kitchen the floor is disgusting, The food handling space are by no means exceptionally clean Furniture leave a lot to be desired, not comfortable at all The food is made cheaply, Pizza is all most all dough, paper thin cheese, bland and boring sauce. And then I got violently sick, Lets say it the place was mexican, i got Montazuma’s Revenge with wicked vengence. Lost two days of works as a result Probably needs a visit to the health department. Maybe the place has changed hands or the owner has just doesn’t and became excessively greedy. What ever it is it is pathetic. Also they charged my card SIX time for the same order to a total ~ $ 342.00 and when i called each time, the boldly refuse to fix it. They said it not their responsibility. What kind of owner of a business behaves this way. Its now gotten to the point where I am actually going have to go down to city hall to file a small claims suit. At one time, it was a nice place to go. Now you can expect BADTIME Its a pretty sad place. I’d be afraid to ever go back

Ordered delivery from this place a few weeks ago. First time having pizza in a while and what a great experience. Ordered a pineapple and pepperoni pizza that was very good. Right about of cheese, right amount of sauce, high quality and quantity of toppings. Ordered the meal deal so we also got chicken wings, a cheesesteak, fries, and a 2 liter of pepsi. Obviously not a healthy meal, but very tasty. Delivery took a really short amount of time too. I was surprised at how fast they got here.

My family’s been getting their pizza here, also for about thirty years. You eat in and see multiple generations of families sitting at the tables. I get their take-out(credit card is fine) and enjoy the wings or pizza or steaks. Eating in, I’ll get whatever is on special, which usually comes with garlic bread and salad. Both are fresh and tasty.

I love this place. I just moved to the Northeast and was looking for a great take out place. I was disappointed, thinking that folks up here do not know how to do pizza/cheesesteak/hoagies. That was until I got around to their menu. Everything I have tried thus far has been delicious, cheesesteaks, hoagies, salads, pizza, mozz fries(had to order pizza fries without marina). And best of all, I can order online. No more using cell minutes to order out. Order online and pay with cash or debit/credit. Awesome.

I love the pizza here, but they need an overhaul at the counter. The last few times I’ve ordered from here, I’ve had issues that ultimately affected the quality of the food. I always pick-up my order because delivery to my house takes too long(not a knock on the delivery time — I’m a little out of the way). One time I got there before my order was ready, and waited another 20 minutes only to be handed a lukewarm pizza that seemed to have been sitting there as long as I was. I don’t know if they forgot about me or what(I was sitting right in front of the counter waiting), but the pizza clearly wasn’t straight from the oven. Another time they couldn’t find my order at all. Three girls at the counter searched for five minutes before someone from the kitchen overhead what was going on and helped them out. The most recent time, I was given someone else’s pizza. It was the same as what I ordered, but the order was placed 20 minutes before mine. When you’re expecting hot out of the oven pizza and get something that’s been sitting for 20 minutes, it’s incredibly disappointing. I’ll give them another couple of chances, because I love the pizza so much, but if these types of mistakes keep happening, I’ll have to take my business elsewhere.

My family has been eating here for literally 30 years. I was born in the northeast, which is when my parents discovered this gem. Pizza at New England has been a staple in my family. Their food and service is dependable and worth the now long drive to Welsh Rd. We always order pizza and soda– don’t want to chance anything beside an amazing meal. Their pizzza is pan only– no thin crust– deep dish style. Not sure if they make the sauce there or not, but it’s delicious. They don’t skimp on the toppings either. If they delivered to center city, I’d be eating pizza everyday! **Bring cash– they don’t take credit cards.

Service was slow. Pizza was extremely greasy. The box was covered in grease. The only reason we went here is because vinces on grant was closed. We really wanted vinces but they didn’t open until 4. Not coming back to NE.

After years of experiencing great pizza and great service at New England Pizza, I’m sorry to have to write to say that it has finally crashed and burned. On my most recent visit, the pie and service were SO bad, I had to write about it immediately, so that hopefully, when they read this, they’ll get they’re act together again. I called ahead as i have done many times in the past, got there in about 15 minutes and conversed with the counter girls for a minute before sitting down on the padded bench to wait for my order(a large pizza). Unbeknownst to me, a pie that was sitting in a box ready to go was mine, but another person put a bag with another order on top of it. Although I suspected that was my pie under that bag, I didn’t say anything; I figured the bag and the box were together and continued to wait for my order. After another 20 minutes, I asked what was taking so long. When they looked for my order, they lifted the bag and looked at the ticket and sure enough, it WAS my pizza getting cold and soggy under that sack. When I said to the counter girl, «That’s been sitting there a long time». I expected her to say, «I’m sorry, let me put that back in the oven for a minute to heat it» or something to that effect. Her response? She shrugged her shoulder and said, «Hey, I’M not the phone girl!» Wrong answer. The pie was soggy, cold and took way too long, No matter who took the order on the phone, your customers should be walking out carrying a hot pie with that trademark crispy, toasty crust. Thanks for nothing. Hope you enjoyed the Phils game which, BTW, you’re not being paid(or tipped) to watch at the customer’s expense.

Pizza was below average in taste but better than most pizza joints in this culinary wasteland section of Philly… the defunct northeast. Won’t try again.

I’ve heard good things about this place through friends and on here. So I figured I’d give their plain pie a shot… It had to be one of the worst pies I’ve ever had. There was barely any sauce, they were chintzy on the cheese. The dough was undercooked. I’ve had their sandwiches before and they were ok, but this place doesn’t live up to the hype– sorry…

There is NO better pizza than New England’s! I might be a tiny girl, but I’m so sure I could eat a whole pie if a really wanted to just because it’s so hard to stop biting into the perfectly baked sweet tasting thick crust and the freshest pizza cheese i have ever consumed! My dad and I are from Jersey but we both know it is ten million times worth the ride and toll to get this extra cheese anchovy pizza. If you have ever had FIRST England pizza on Frankford you will find NEW England’s quite similar, with the only evident difference being the thicker crust. Both are outstanding though. I have never had a bad experience here either. It’s always been a friendly exchange of food and money, and a very satisfied end result.

Pretty easy to find place. I went in and it was jumping. No, just coworkers in for lunch, no party. But this told me that many come here for lunch so it must be okay. I ordered personal pizza and mozzarella fries. They don’t serve individual slices. My order was received nice and fresh. The pizza was okay. I could tell the sauce was little sweeter than most places make. I wasn’t totally impressed. The mozzarella fries were partially covered with mozzarella. Not cool. I like cheese. I want my fries mozzarella(d). If that makes any sense. There were a lot of plain fries left. Total order was 7 something. Just to be fair maybe that isn’t the item to order from here. I’ll try another staple from their restaurant when I go back. Overall, my experience was average. They also have a minimum on debit & credit.
