Avoid like the Black Plague. Food was supposed to be delivered in a hour, 2 hours later we get a courtesy call that they were closing. Vote with your wallet with these people. Maybe then someone that needs to rent a kitchen will find their place vacant.

SMH… where to begin. Order through GrubHub… and wish I hadn’t. Ordered the Jerk Salmon with Mac & Cheese and Cabbage. Pros: The seasoning in the salmon was good. And my iced tea was cold. Cons: The Mac & Cheese was dry and disgusting. The cabbage was bland and boring. WTH! Results: Ate the Salmon tossed the rest.

If you have to give a star… Ms. D’s deserves none. My team and I ordered via grubhub and was told it’d be an hr and a half for delivery… To be expected from any soul food place worth their salt. Pun intended. Food arrived around the 2hr mark. The charge for delivery was $ 8! When we opened the food it was awful. Cold and extremely small portions — the chicken wing platter for $ 8 had two wingettes and a drummette??? Im sorry… Wtf? The mac and cheese was definitely knock off Kraft and part of our order was missing. Tried calling every number listed for them and their affiliate(Kingston City on Chelten Ave which we later discovered is where the food came from) to no avail. So we drove to Kingston city as we had a hunch this is where the food came from… We arrive to some broken down half bodega half deli… When asked if they delivered the food to my place of work the lady behind the glass said yes. When presented with all the issues with our order she told us «for $ 8/platter, what did we expect?»(Insert my «ohnoshedidnt» face) then she told us that we had to go to Ms D’s on germantown avenue??? When we asked why if the food came from here she THEN decided that we would have to call grub hub to get a refund. So we did… While we stood in the store of course… We were out $ 50 and no one had eaten lunch. Grubhub was nice they tried calling the restaurant and got no answer as well… Meanwhile the lady behind the glass was on the phone the entire time…? After debating for about a half hr and calling the cops(it was that serious) she gave us back $ 42 saying she couldn’t refund the delivery fee… No worries… Grub hub refunded that. So here we are 3 hours after we ordered with no food… We ended up at Jamaican D’s down the street with the same prices and MUCH better food. Not to mention the serving sizes are fit for a king.

Tried ordering from here on grubhuh. Threw on a movie and ordered some soul food. 15 minutes late I get a notification that it it was cancelled. Either Ms D decided to close early, or she didn’t make everything on her menu. Either way its an irresponsible business, I didn’t make you put your stuff on grubhub! So be reliable. I will never try to order from here again due to the unprofessionalism I encountered and that Lee Ann R. clearly experienced as well. Don’t gamble on your dinner, order from somewhere reliable.

Ordered delivery from here through . Staff was very friendly. I’ll start with what went wrong. Called and ordered Crab legs with garlic butter asked for extra butter and side of mashed potatoes and stuffing. I was told there wasn’t any stuffing. The order totaled $ 25. Delivery took nearly two hours but the food arrived just before it turned cold. Definitely did not get extra butter. Mashed potatoes were definitely boxed, which is fine, but they had no flavor despite being covered in some seasoning. I had to add a significant amount of salt for it to taste good. Now the good They actually had stuffing which was terrific and they gave it to me free of charge. The crab legs were glorious, best i’ve had from a restaurant. The stuffing hit the spot. I’d order te same dish again and again from them. I am eyeing their desserts for next time.
