I needed 125 limes and Whole Foods was selling them for .50PER lime. I’ll cut a bitch. Knowing South Philly Italians could make me a deal, I drove over to Anastasio’s and picked up 175 limes for… wait…$ 47. That’s .26PER lime. Suck on that Whole Foods — yeah, I’ll bet that tastes sour.

Although this guy;s stall sells your basics(berries, plums, pears, etc.) they had a great spread of figs, dried and fresh, and mushrooms. Although they didn’t have anything as exotic as truffle, porcini or lobster mushrooms, he has a great spread of chantrelles. Duck around the corner off the Italian market and check their ‘shrooms out. Just got an update from another Unilocaler-friend and he warns of grit on the mushrooms… FYI. My chantrelles were clean, but I’d check twice.
