I liked them, they are very tasty, the quality is amazing, but I feel they do not taste as NY Halal, I know its weird to ask for that but there was something missing.

I started going here just a few weeks ago announcing that I was a falafel virgin! Even more, I had lived my 48 years terrified of «food trucks». I was raised by parents who felt that all food needed to be boiled to death in case it have any flavor at all! At The King of Shawarma food truck I learned that the food could be fresh, delicious, safe, delicious, appetizing, delicious! Did I mention this food is delicious! Now it’s a weekly treat– well maybe more than once a week! Josh, the chef is friendly and suggests what I may like and what I should try next time! Did I mention I have Celiac Disease and I have to be very careful of cross contamination with wheat, rye, and barley? I have had no problems here! I can eat delicious food that is more than just a salad or a piece of fruit when I’m working in the city!

Best halal cart I’ve had in Philly! The food is fresh and the spices are just right(just a warning, it’s not as quick as some of the other carts in the area due to the freshness but we’ll worth the wait). Everything I’ve had here is right up there with the best NYC carts. The chef/owner is a friendly guy and this is the kind of business I’m happy to support.
