This is not a hookah place. there is a new place on 7042 Marshall Rd, Upper Darby. They have $ 10 Unlimited hookah and over 60 flavors. I believe the name of the place is Escape Hookah Lounge.

This is a cool spot in the HOOD to get hookah and good bar food. Music be popping. The Dj comes around 9:30 but start at 10pm. The crowd is mixed but from early 20’s to mid 30’s. Service is good and fast. Everything is reasonable. Parking is okay if you come before 10. Street parking only. They search you at door. If you come before 10 something there is no cover but after that it about 10 bucks. The TV ‘s are new and very clear. They have cable and show all the good hit shows! Lol I never come alone and have only been in here with my HIM! I don’t stay long… But it’s cool. At first I was skeptical but after a few times coming it’s okay.

Stumbled across this place 2 and a half years ago. Love this place. Definitely a hole in the wall hood bar. So if that’s not your kind of setting don’t bother. Parking: generally you can be anywhere from right out front, to being a few or more blocks away. Just depends on what type of night the area is having and how many people are out. Security: always posted outside and inside. They wear a military like uniform with vests. They check id unpon entry and also pat-search everyone. A woman officer takes care of females. Cover: is usually 5 or 10. But i can only speak for females. I am unaware if it costs more for men. They do have VIP, I’ve never inquired, so I’m not sure how much that runs. Seating: there are chairs at the bar. Seats usually open up rather quickly. I’ve only ever been standing if i wanted to. Hookah: the hookahs are 15 – 20, which is ok. When ordering they give you a number and staff from the back bring out your hookah to you. Music: they have a dj. They play strictly rap, hip hop, and reggae. Drinks: the fishbowls are ok here, not the best but will get the job done if you drink enough of them. The drinks are cheap in my opinion. They usually have a glow in the dark wipe off board with the daily specials. Food: i generally do not oder food when i go out. But my friend ordered some wings and shared. OMG. They were some of the best wings I’ve ever haad, and i don’t even really like chicken wings. I like theirs tho. The fries were also good. I’ve had the mozzarella sticks as well. It is spacious in here. They have a general area for dancing. It does get packed sometimes.

Hmmmm, surprisingly good! Because of the neighborhood, I completely judged this place before actually going in and now I see the true meaning behind, «Ignorance is bliss!». Smh. During a random night, doing random things I decided to stop in here with some friends. I had a good time here and loved the Jell-O shots and the hookah thingy everyone was trying. Typical bar with locals. Although it was ok, the crowd looked a little too young for me(20s).

Kif’s is the hood. Period. So if that’s not your thing or «sketchy» neighborhoods scare you, this isn’t the place for you. So no you can’t get a single malt scotch or a gin martini up with a twist here. So you walk up the ramp to be greeted by huge male security guards searching your bags and I mean a THOROUGHSEARCH too so ladies don’t think you’re sneaking in a blade, mace or even a rat tail comb. And fellas, you’re definitely not sneaking in mini bottles or anything in your belt loops. Can seem a bit much but for the area, I’d rather know that no one is coming in armed and dangerous. Once you walk in, the ladies are physically patted down by a female security guard and carded for identification. There was no cover before 1030 but I did see wristbands being given after that time for $ 10 I believe. The layout is pretty decent for a hookah bar. Couches off to the side with tables. I didn’t smoke anything so I don’t know how much the hookah was or anything. The dj played a little of everything so that was a good look. Kept everyone dancing. Shante P and I looked on the specials board and saw they had $ 2 rum punches. I asked the bartender if they had them and she quickly said yes and asked if I wanted a single or a double. Hell for two bucks, sure we’d take doubles. Well, when homegirl came back she said the drinks were no longer on special and were $ 16 for both. That made no sense because the special was on the board clear as day and I asked how much they were. Smh. I could’ve fought her on it but I didn’t feel like a scene in a loud bar and I paid,.tipped and walked away. I’m sure they pull the bait and switch all the time. However that won’t be happening again with me. I was pissed but whatever. Other than that, I had a decent time with my friends.

Different strokes for different folks. This is my damn stroke though. Reasonable hookah and drinks. If you’re sketched out about the neighborhood, you shouldn’t come. I’ll enjoy it all to myself. I’m giving it 3 stars, however, because they asked me to pay a 10.00 cover on a Saturday night because there was a «party». Hood strippers with c-section scars, although I personally enjoy them, should not be a mandatory expense when all I want is hookah. Begrudgingly, I did it and I enjoyed the booty popping while I smoked.

I can appreciate a good hood bar just as anyone else but this here? Just not it. Yes, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy but even more so are the individuals that frequent this place. I had a woman who I repeatedly saw eying my sister’s wallet anytime she paid for something. On top of that, if you’re not here on a day that there’s a dj/music of some sort the only music available is what you pay to play. Let’s just say that the people here were so cheap that if we weren’t paying to play music we were sitting in silence/chatter of the surroundings. Can a sista get some light background music or something?! Sheesh. What really makes me want to give this place 0 stars(there wasn’t an option) was the drinks. I ordered a «fish bowl» only to receive a muddled looking drink in a plastic cup. This Establishment only owns TWO fish bowls so if you at least want your drink to at least look entertaining I guess you have to get here early. Presentation is everything when your drink tastes like off brand kool-aid. I also ordered what I think was called a smooth bitch… I’m not sure, nothing was memorable. The bartender(Blair) was nice but the drinks were weak. While Kif’s has the dismal set up, price point and sketch factor of a good hood joint, in my opinion this place is not at all worth it(even if you find a close parking spot). If you do decide to go, the key must be to not look too lavish. Hide ya bags, hide ya keys, hide ya costume jewelry… shit, just hide everything.

Great place for reasonable drinks and an exceptional hooka experience. I’ve been back several times and always have a ball. You can even bring your own bites to eat.

Yes really nice @Rasheeda M. Tell people to bring out guns and give Philadelphia an even higher murder capita. smh some people are so stupid. People, unfortunately, get robbed and shot at all over. They are just more televised in urban neighborhoods. Kif’s Hookah Lounge is a very nice chill spot. Thursday nights are reggae, hip-hop, soca, zouk… any music you can think of! It’s a very nice crowd. I haven’t been on the weekends in quite a while but I’ve heard that it’s still a good vibe. Also, there’s a pool table! You have to be careful anywhere that you go people. Just use good judgement. Don’t flash your money. If you go out with friends, leave with them. If you don’t then leave when there’s a bit of a crowd leaving, that way noone catches you alone. There’s plenty of parking and it’s well-lit on Market.

My friend and I definitely came here at the wrong time. It was less than crowded, but still very loud because of the televisions. The hookah was around $ 12, so that was awesome! I’m sure it’s a happenin’ place after 8pm…

Love this place. Reggage on Friday(free no cover entry) & R&B on Sat. Sometimes private parties are held, so those night i would avoid, but otherwise grab a group of friends and go smoke & grab some $ 5.00 long islands… Hookah selection is average. $ 12.50ish…smokes 3−4+ hours Karaōke mid-week too!
