I liked Jack’s.
Friendly people, good atmosphere and generally did good work with prints.
Unfortunately, it’s closed and is now a laundromat. Shame.
Word on the street is that there is a North Philadelphia branch, but I don’t know anything about it!

There was a time in my life (which I’d like to forget) where I was shooting worlds of film. I tried numerous places in the city, and never was satisfied with service or price…
Until I discovered Jack’s. The prices are unbeatable, you get free doubles, a really friendly staff, and very fast and dependable turnaround. My one pet peeve was, at the time, I noticed that their colors bled… specifically with black and white, there would be hints of blue in the film… and this kept happening over a year.
However, looking back… it kind of gave my stuff an edge, which any hapless amateur could use. I always speak fondly of Jack’s… especially when it comes to talking folks out of corporate.
