3.5 rounded up to a 4. The margherita pizza exactly matched the ambiance of the restaurant — simple and understated. I enjoyed the tangy tomato sauce, fragrant basil strips, and soft, chewy mozzarella. However, I personally prefer my crust a little sweet with a slight char, hence the –1.5. When it comes down to it, the combination of quality and price make Gusto a solid neighborhood pizzeria.

TL;DR — Good pizza and calzones, excellent Greek salad and affordable prices in Rittenhouse My wife and I have made a small tradition out of celebrating Valentine’s Days with food from Gusto and we come here every once in a while in between holidays too. We’ve never been let down. No matter what we get, it’s also paired with a Greek salad. Large wedges of Feta cheese always have a perfect flavor, and the rest of the ingredients are fresh. Most recently, we had a pizza with portabella mushrooms on it. Most lower price pizza places use some pretty disgusting quality mushrooms, but these were fresh and tasty. If you’re looking for good down-to-earth food in Rittenhouse, check this place out. I recommend trying the Thursday special if you’re really on a budget: 2 Cheesesteaks or 2 Parms or One of Each, Plus 2 Cans of Soda for $ 10.50.

Great hours, really good cheesesteak, good fries and they serve it up fast. Very glad this place is in the neighborhood and will come back!

Tried a large cheese pizza and was not impressed. It was just overly cheesy and super greasy! The crust had decent integrity. For $ 10.50, the price is reasonable though. You could pay a lot more in the area, but you’d get a much better pizza(eh hem vetri)

This pizza is phenomenal! We ordered the veggie pizza to dine-in and brought wine since it’s BYOB. Great crust, tons of cheese, and lots of delicious vegetables on top. Definitely coming back soon!

I really love this place, and not just because it’s about a 3 minute walk from my apartment. Everything I’ve had from Gusto has been tasty and pretty affordable. This past weekend I ordered 3 large pizzas for pickup, they had them ready in 20 minutes on a Saturday night and my total was $ 39. Not bad at all. The ingredients are great too, they used portobello mushrooms on my mushroom pizza and the crust was on the thinner side and crispy(a huge plus for me). I absolutely would give them 5 stars if they accepted credit cards. I’d also order from them more often if they accepted credit cards.

I took two young children to Gusto last night and had a great experience. The waitress was super attentive and kind. She brought coloring books for the kids and made sure we had everything we needed before the food came. The mozzarella sticks were good and the chicken fingers were great too. Their food was average but I think it’s because we didn’t get their specialty… Pizza! Next time we will go back and get a pie and update our review. The prices are super reasonable and I will return!

A reasonably priced place in the Fitler/Rittenhouse area with large portions and good hours? That’s 4 stars regardless of the quality of the food. Fortunately for Gusto, I’ve been pretty impressed with the food as well. It may not be hand-massaged wine-infused grass-fed urban-raised beef(although I’m pretty sure at least one of the Italian meats they use has some wine flavor in it), but it’s simply darn good, quite filling food. One thing I like in particular is the dough they use for the pizzas and calzones – it’s got just the right amount of greasiness and tastes pretty good by itself. Service has been alright – they are a family business it seems and don’t always have people at the register – but orders are ready for pickup when they say they should be(unlike some other businesses in the nearby area) and are always hot and fresh.

Standout quality ingredients every time. There are a lot of pizza places nearby, but one look at the food these folks deliver and you realize there is no reason to order from anyone else.

I recently moved in right near Gusto, right around the time my inner New Yorker had pretty much given up on finding fabulous, super convenient pizza in Philly. And then: we ordered their primavera pizza. It’s so good that we’re eating way too much pizza lately. Plus, their Ceaser salad comes with three types of different croutons. Totally increases the value of my house.

This place has great pricing on their daily specials. My boyfriend and I got hoagies for take out and they were huge portion sizes. The service is fast and the ingredients are fresh which is a huge plus. Can’t help wishing for just a little more flavor though. Other than that, a reliable takeout or delivery place.

Excellent(Greek, I think?) pizzeria entire menu is high quality, great salads. Best pizza in that area along with Lazaro’s. The vegetable calzone is quite delicious. Italian hoagie is legit. I’ve eaten here 50+ times and never been disappointed once. Also you can have a pleasant meal with friends and bring a bottle of wine.

Excellent neighborhood pizza at an affordable price. With dozens of great pizza places in Philadelphia, the competition is stiff. Gusto Pizzeria is one of the better pizza places in the area — excellent ingredients, a friendly staff, and reasonable prices. My friends and I ordered the Margherita pizza(16′ is $ 15.40) with mozzarella, fresh basil, Romano cheese and red sauce. The crust is the perfect balance between thin crust and thick, with excellent tomato sauce to cheese ratio to boot. It was tasty and made quickly. Gusto offers some of the best pizza in town, and certainly the best in the nearby area. A must-try for good traditional pizza without all that hipster nonsense.

It’s not often that you feel like you’ve had the best pizza of your life. and this is one of those places where you can have the at feeling again and again and again! A family run small business, the ambience is cozy, and the food is to die for. Even the simplest cheese pizza is wonderful, comes fresh and hot out of the oven with cheesy goodness trickling down the side. Would definitely recommend their Rustica pizza. The pesto just takes it to another level! One of our regular no-disappointment places!

This place was really delicious. I had the chicken fingers wrap, and it was tasty! comes with a little side of chips, I would recommend that. My boyfriend got the cheesesteak, and that was good too. I took down a star because it’s cash only, and I never carry cash. they do have an ATM, but meh. staff was nice! I want to go back and try their pizza.

Between the friendly and accommodating service and the great pizza selection it was a great experience all around. I had the Primavera(veggie) pizza and added black olives. The veggies were fresh and the crust was on the thinner side, which I prefer.

Steak sandwiches are STILL only $ 5.30. Huge amount of meat for the price. I can’t imagine this price will last much longer. Very comfortable neighborhood place.
