Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing

I’ve been here multiple times in my life, to experience the many different talents that come here to grace the Great Plaza stage. I just realized I had never reviewed it, only to find out it had never been reviewed? Odd.
At any rate, I came here recently with some new friends to hear Valerie Simpson (of Ashford and Simpson) sing. Well, Valerie’s still got the goods, y’all. She put on a mean performance! I noticed just how good the sound system is when I did a couple of Instagram snippets and the quality was crystal clear! There really isn’t a bad seat in the house.
I love how they allow you to bring in food as well as your own chairs, or you can just cop a squat right on the steps leading down to the stage. The concerts and shows put on here are generally free and thy have them regularly throughout the summertime.
