Had the«vegetarians are people too ‘Shroom Burger«which is Panko Crusted organic Portobello Mushroom Tops, stuffed with Muenster and Cheddar Cheese Burger. This burger has lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles and chipotle mayo. It is small in size, but, it is very filling and tasty. i also got ‘The Good Stuff deal» which adds a soda and the snack fries. I love you can season your hand cut fries with the malt vinegar. This place still gets busy lunch crowd but they were fairly quick. Seating upstairs fills up, so, if you want to eat in, I would go to lunch early.

i’ve walked by this place so many times on my way and back from work. i finally had a chance to try a burger when i was stuck at work one day and a coworker brought me some food. now… i’m all about a good burger and fries. i’ve stopped by for lunch a couple times now and am always happy with my decision to do so. the kids working behind the counter have always been friendly and helpful. they also make your burgers after you’ve ordered, so it tends to take a little long during lunch hour. just fyi. you won’t spend all of your lunch break there but just be prepared to wait about 10 min for your order to be ready. i haven’t had a chance to try any of their milkshakes but i hear they’re amazing.

Short & quick: Good tasting burgers. But too small for the prices. I was shocked when I opened my package when I arrived back to work, and my veggie burger looked like a junior burger from the dollar menu.

Went to the eatery today for lunch and I was not disappointed in the least. Let me begin by saying, I absolutely love burgers in general; so I judge harshly. I ordered a burger that had double patties, double cheese and double bacon. It was a battle to eat the last bite but i HAD too. They have fancy mayo: old bay, chiptole, mango. French fries on point especially the Rosemary ones. Long story short: I will go again. Customer service is a 10. One more thing. I would recommend that you get the snack size fries. Its definitely a lot of food

Everything tastes very deep fried. Had the bahn MI style burger and rosemary fries. The burger is a smaller size in the wrap but be not deceived. The patty has good weight to it. Could not tell about its natural flavors but there’s good mayo to add for what’s lacking. The service though is great and the employees are very hospitable. Overall it’s a pretty standard upscale burger joint with its sauces as the unique selling point.

We were excited that a location opened up in Philly after friends originally from DC raved about. We finally made it there on a random weekend night. The mushroom burger was really good, much better than shake shack. Décor was cute and there is a huge seating area on the second floor with a bunch of tvs. The root beer float was really really good. My fiancé got the burger with the egg that was very liberally cooked runny. I like my eggs runny but this was a little rae for me. That being said he ate it all up and his stomach wasn’t too upset later. We would go bakc just not get that burger.

Guys. I am sitting in shock as I write this post. This is the best milkshake I have ever met. I am questioning reality at this very moment how one thing could be so delicious. Here is the love story of me and my milkshake meeting. It was a lovely late summer afternoon. It was a Friday. From my cube I thought, like«fk it I need sugar». While walking around I was like«hey I think good stuff has pretty good milkshakes. I could do that».(I have tried plain chocolate here, before finding my one true love) I was looking at the Flavors they offered. I couldn’t decide, but I was OVER my former chocolate date. The girl at the cash recommended the Marshmallow milkshake. I thought«eh marshmallow isn’t my favorite, but I like to live dangerously.» High risk, high reward you guys. I never knew that I would find love in a marshmallow milkshake, but we never know our destiny until we’re sitting on a park bench, and suddenly just know. I just knew. This milkshake. She was the one. I did have a relationship at the time. I ended things immediately for my milkshake. My milkshake and I lived happily ever, and are expecting the putter patter of more little milkshakes in the future.

I was feelin’ a burger last night. Since I was nearby, I decided to try this spot for the first time. Stopped to look at the menu by the door, but by the time I got to the counter three seconds later, I already forgot the official name of the burger. All I know is I ordered a medium bacon cheeseburger with a side of regular fries. They provided a buzzer as if I was at a Red Lobster and said it’d go off when the food was ready. After several minutes(I have no idea how long, but it seemed like quite awhile), the food was ready. I walked my food home, and it was fortunately still hot by the time I got there. I walk slow. So the burger itself looked so sad, but was REALLY good. Like I almost don’t want to post a picture of it, because it’s funny looking and may steer you away from buying, but I think it was worth the price. The fries, on the other hand? Nah. They were wimpy and salty and — this is weird — but there were too many of them. It was overwhelming. I put them all in a bowl and I plan to attempt to doctor them up in the oven. I don’t know how that will work. I did notice a bunch of milkshake options and what appeared to also be some sort of tap(???) so I know what to order next time with my burger.

My experience was similar to Bob’s. The burger — a Spike’s Sunnyside — was pretty good despite it not coming with«lotsa napkins» as promised on the menu. It took, however, 21 minutes to get said burger which was even more annoying because the people who ordered 10 minutes after me got theirs first. When I asked the hair-twirling girl whether someone might have forgotten my order, a reaction tantamount to a smug shrug was returned. Also, I am not sure how long this place has been open but it looks a bit dirty — I guess that’s due to the whitewashed wood décor.

I had the veggie portobello burger with the fries the cashier recommended. The fries were a bit soggy and I forgot to get ketchup. They were still good. The burger was definitely the highlight though. I enjoyed the sauce and bun the most. I would definitely come back!

Got the«vegetarians are people too» burger(lol @ name. props) which can also be made vegans sans the mayo. It was a portabella mushroom burger with panko bread crumbs around it. the bread crumbs were sooo good! Came with standard lettuce/tomato/onion. Next time I’m gonna see if maybe they have caramelized onion or other interesting things. What I lovedd about this place was the mayo/dipping bar or whatever! Chipotle mayo, spicy mayo, mango mayo and old bay mayo. So cool! And I aint gonna front, I got one of each to try :)))))) My burger was really good and for under $ 7, much cheaper than alternatives in the area. BUT it was tiny. Like legit was the size of my palm even though it was fat. I was still hungry after :(

F**k Shake Shack! Better burger selection, amazing fries and delicious shakes! The burgers we had were awesome! Perfectly constructed with a great bun to meat ratio. The fries were terrific, really well seasoned with fresh thyme and rosemary. The shake was phenomenal, so creamy and delicious(we got a chocolate marshmallow shake). Oh! I can’t forget the dipping sauce! Mayo mango sweet and delicious, chipotle mayo has a nice kick and the Old Bay mayo made love to my mouth! The staff is super friendly and very helpful! My wife and I are definitely coming back!

Good Stuff Eatery is one of my favorite Philly guilty pleasures. They can make any of their burgers using a delicious stuffed Portobello mushroom(which I prefer to Shake Shack’s), so there are quite a few options for vegetarians. Beware of their subpar salads though– you’d be better off going to Honey Grow, which is a few blocks away. Their rosemary fries are also pretty good. The real winners here are the milkshakes. They are by far the best I’ve had – very creamy and sweet. I’d recommend the marshmallow, which is unique and tasty. I usually don’t finish an entire shake because it is so overwhelming, so I usually get the mini size or share with a friend(they are happy to split up the cups for you)! That brings be to my last point– the service is fantastic! I’ve never had such friendly and helpful staff in a fast food environment.

The crew and I were looking for a new spot for burgers. We were all set to hit up Bobby’s Burgers when I suggested we seek other options. My friend said he wanted a milkshake, I kindly provided him with the link to a few places where burgers and shakes were the highlights of the menu. He quickly replied, I AMGAME, after I provided him with the link to Good Stuff Eatery. Upon much deliberating me and my two friends all settled on the COLLETTI’S SMOKEHOUSE. A burger topped with Applewood bacon, sharp Vermont cheddar fried Vidalia onion rings with chipotle BBQ Sauce. Compared to some of our usual spots, the burger was a bit on the small side; especially for the eating machines I was sitting with. Don’t get me wrong that are not tiny are and suitable if you order fries and a shake. Both my taste-buds and appetite were satisfied as I left the building.

Had really soggy fries here. It was rosemary French fries and it is one of my favorite snacks in the world!!! Got one bite, boo… Was so so so soggy. Liked that they had a lot of free drippings. There were actually good and my favorite Begium fries place in NYC, they charged for the same digging so that was big plus. My hub said the burger was ok and also wasn’t happy with soggy fries. I thought it might be just that day. But apparently one of my other friends was mentioned that she had burger and fries there and she didn’t like their soggy fries. Guess that is the style there. Not my thing.

I’ve been here twice — once for lunch(2 Stars) and once for dinner(4 Stars) — Hence my 3 Star rating… Lunch experience — For lunch I ordered«Uncle D’s Famous Chili» and I most likely wouldn’t order it again. I was also annoyed at the fact that they forgot to include the homemade cornbread(which is about 50% of the reason I specifically got the chili from there — versus let’s say Devon & Blakely). The chili is beef so it was oily and the sour cream was a little too much. I didn’t see any cheddar cheese sauce in the chili(not sure if it was mixed in with the sour cream or forgotten). I would avoid going to Good Stuff Eatery during lunch as the wait was also extremely long. Dinner experience — My dinner experience was way better. I ordered the«Spike’s Sunnyside» burger and was quite pleased. The patties are medium thick(pretty big) and I definitely couldn’t finish a burger by myself. I was glad that the egg was runny which is just the way I like it. The burger was messy but really good. We also got an order of the Sunny’s handcut fries and then another order of the fries topped with cheese. The dipping sauces were good too — my favorite was the chipotle mayo. I didn’t order a shake this time but will have to try one next time. They usually have samples downstairs at the counter.

I’m so glad I stopped by Good Stuff Eatery, even though I was doubtful at first. I loved Spike on Top Chef, but how many burger places can a city have… am I right? I already was set on my favorite Philly burger until I bit into my medium rare SunnySide burger. Delicious beef, bacon, a perfect runny egg, and a great sauce made this one of the greatest burgers I have ever had. The brioche bun was soaked with egg juices and special sauce — and I loved it! The fries were also perfect and delicious and came with great dipping mayos. I’m really happy about this GOODSTUFF and can’t wait to come here again.

Met a friend for lunch at Good Stuff Eatery recently and can report back that in my opinion, it’s certainly a decent hamburger spot although not anything exceptional. Let me also qualify here that I’m not a huge hamburger aficionado. I prefer all of Philly’s native sandwiches to the all-American hamburger. The prices are low for Center City but the hamburger is also not real big. I got the Blazin’ Barn with daikon, carrots, mint, & cilantro. Quality of the meat was excellent although the seasonings were way too skimpy to provide that flavor I was hoping to find from the menu description. The hand-cut French fries with thyme, rosemary, and sea salt are tasty. They are on the softer side as has been critiqued on Unilocal several times but to me they were fine … especially because of the choices of mayonnaise for dipping that are provided. I liked every sauce but especially the mango mayonnaise and the old bay mayonnaise. You order at ground level and you eat in an attractive area upstairs. There are also a few sidewalk tables. I’d def go back … but I won’t go out of my way to return. Decent.

I was a little bit disappointed with Good Stuff Eatery. I guess I just expected a little more from some of the hype I had seen with Spike. We ordered two hamburgers the Obama and the Steakhouse. Customers order at the cashier pay and then they receive a little beeper and let them know when their food is ready. The staff was very pleasant and the place was open and clean with seating outside and also upstairs and some limited bar seats downstairs. Good Stuff Eatery has a decent selection of sides and even a couple beer selections on draft. Our burgers were okay they were neither bad nor great. The Beef patty was a bit small more the size of a shake shack burger. I found a little odd that they didn’t ask how we would like our burgers cooked. They came out medium well which is usually the way I go. The bun was nothing special either pretty much the same as a five guys bun. The fries were pretty good they were little oily but had a lot of flavor. My daughter and I both had the Vietnamese coffee milkshake. That was really good and probably the best thing we had. I am not sure if I would give Good Stuff Eatery another try right away. There are so many other good burger places right in the immediate area.

Spur of the moment decision to try Good Stuff Eatery paid off. A much better burger than Shake Shack, GSE’s burger felt more like a homemade patty. Ordered the Steakhouse, Smokehouse, and snack-size fries. Snack-size was basically a regular-size portion. Both burgers were tasty, but the Smokehouse had more flavor. I do wish, like Bobby’s Burger Palace, GSE asked for your preferred cooking temperature… mine was well done(preference for this type of food spot = medium to medium-well), my fellow diner’s was medium-rare, and the two burgers at the table next to mine looked to be closer to rare. Altogether a good experience, with the friendly staff, malt vinegar and sriracha on the tables, and a pretty dining loft. Will return if the quick-burger experience is required.
