I love coming here to see my PCP. Dr. Millado she’s great !!! I never wait no longer than 15 minutes for my appointment… she’s honest and straight to the point. She’s also young so we sometimes talk about everything else besides what i came in for(this is partially my fault) I really do love this DR! The receptionist(s) here are also great! The ER and GYN department on the other hand is terrible. You might as well clear your entire day when you come to this ER. The GYN department has recently changed and has gotten a bit better since the last time I was here but the wait time here is TERRIBLE if you are coming in the afternoon.

I was having some health issues back in August and since I’m a Temple employee and all my co-pays are waived if I visit the TU Health System for my needs, I wanted to make an appointment with a Temple doc. I called to the Health Science campus and was unable to get an appointment for a month. I scheduled an appointment, but when my symptoms began to escalate I contacted the Comprehensive Health Center on the Episcopal campus to see if I could get a sooner appointment. I had previously been to the Episcopal campus to see a therapist(I was getting married/having stressors in my life! Everyone needs someone to chat with, right?) and it was an OK experience. I later decided to cope on my own. Anyway, I thought seeing a family doctor at Episcopal would be a viable option since they’re close and I had a decent experience with the therapist. BOY, was I WRONG!!! My appointment was for 4:30 on a Wednesday. I arrived at 4:15 and stood in line for 20 minutes before I was even greeted by a receptionist. There was only one working the window, even though I saw three other people sitting at computers behind her talking to each other and on the phone. Even though the receptionist was working with a difficult patient and the line was forming behind her, no one thought it would be a good idea to assist. Anyway, at 4:35 I «signed in» and filled out a form. Then the waiting began… I waited until 5:30 to even be called back to a private room. The room was a disaster. There was writing all over the walls, on their signs, and the general feel of the room was GRIMEY/FILTHY/GROSS. I was really fed up by 5:30, but I was feeling pretty crappy and I figured I had waited long enough that I might as well keep waiting. Anyway, I waited. And waited. And waited. And by 6:10 I decided to get the f outta there. As I left the nurse said that the doctor(Dr. Eisenberg) was«on his way,» as she had told me numerous times before. Bottom line: Go anywhere else. ANYWHERE. Because you’re not going to be served here. I eventually made an appointment at Temple Palmer Park. The physican was very nice(Dr. Thatchet), responsive to my follow-up phone call, and the place was CLEAN.

Busy busy ER because all of their patients(even behavioral health patients) are first admitted through the ER but if your in a bind and need somewhere close to Kensington/Port Richmond area for xrays, etc. Episcopal is around the corner.
