Eighth Street Lounge

hmm so this place…
when i first came there it was BEYOND
then…8^th st lounge
and now PLUSH
not sure how it looks like now… but im guessing still the same cuz beyond to 8^th was still the same lol.
8^th st was 18+, and it definitely separates them from 21+ cuz next to the main room was the bar room that was really roomy. couches everywhere and the bar was right in the middle with the waitress to get you a drink or just simple walk right up to the bar and they will get your drinks.
back to the main floor, it was really roomy and big. they have 2 vip sections on an upper floor which they have stairs leading to them, which i thought was pretty neat. they even have a stage for performers.
Now I guess the only reason why it’s not very popular is because either the crowd, promotions, or how the layout is, and also because of the 18+ limit. Nobody really goes there now because it’s gotten way ghetto. and plus, a major plus, theres no parking for a couple blocks. because everywhere else will get you towed…
If they remodeled, did some fancy stuff and made it better, then maybe it would be good, but most of the time this is a black peeps club… and it always looks crowded whenever i drive by so it must be good for them lol.

I love to dance. I would dance in a place where no one else is dancing. But I hated 8^th Street Lounge. Besides being full of horny teenagers who just wanted to bump and grind and cop a feel (the majority of the building is 17 and up), it gets entirely too hot in the place. With everyone packed in that little dance floor, I was sweating even when I wasn’t dancing. Not fun. And, apparently being a female meant it was ok for random guys to grab me in an attempt to dance. What happened to good old fashioned asking? I definitely won’t be going back to Eight Street anytime soon.
