I live 4 blocks from Danny Wok’s and their chicken is very good. My uncle in law loves the rice and gravy wing platter. I will say this, the wings are always hit and ready!!! I do recommend this spot!

This is one of the only fast food Chinese food places I eat at other than No 1 China and Pei Wei. This is not far from where I live so it’s convenient. The wings are really good. They’re fried nice and crisp, seasoned perfectly and always hot. I usually get them with vegetable fried rice or lo mein. I’ve had shrimp fried rice from here too and it was delicious.

My in laws lived in this area since Danny’s Wok opened. This community has supported the establishment, promoted them to be a Steve Harvey Hoodie Award contestant, and stood by them when the health department was shutting them down; which caused them to remodel the entire facility. I went in yesterday for a large order for an office party. The staff was incredibly RUDE, and nasty. You go in with a smile and a thoughtful hello, you’re greeted with a blank stare, a snare and impatient attitude. I had not been there in years, and there is no love lost because I will not be back! They are racking up the dollars in there, but can’t appreciate the clientele? You are fully aware of the area you chose, so don’t treat people like they’re sub human! They fed your family, as well.

Cheap Chinese store. VERYSTINGYWITHMEAT! Beware! I Ordered Chicken Muy Fun(or whatever the fk it’s called) with extra chicken. These bastards took the meat in the regular size and chopped it up smaller and spread it around like I’m not going to notice! These people are cheap! The noodles were undercooked and the store was dingy. They have a guy in the front who has an attitude. Hey asshole how about cleaning The store instead of standing there mean mugging everyone?! Don’t go here. There’s plenty of other places to eat.

I think this place is extremely overrated! Would have given it 3 stars but the chicken wings that everyone rants about are much smaller now. A step up from wing dings…

I was dying for some good wings, and was put on to this place, came here got wings and french fries… Nothing fancy… There is a separate place to order and another line for pick up. It was empty when we got there which I heard is unusual. But the place is spacious enough that I’m sure it could handle the crowd. I was clean too, so much so that I opted to get a bowl of fruit while I waited… Good choice it was nice and fresh. After a short wait our food was up, we got back to the office, everything was still hot… The wings were amazing… Fries not so much, but those wings more than made up for its undesirable side dish… Seriously would have given 5 stars if it were just for the wings. You know wings are good when they need no dressing, just plain… I will be back, I’ve been trying to space it out so I don’t go too often and ruin it. I just have to find something to go on the side other than the fries… Or maybe I’ll just add a few more wings. Anyway, go and enjoy!

Bar none, this is my favorite Chinese take-out spot. Their assembly-line efficiency is a sight to behold and their food is absolutely amazing, both on its own and for the price. When it comes to Chinese food, I’m a creature of habit, because the very last thing I need when I’m desperate for a good meal is a white paper box of refuse from a soggy, overripe diaper. Thankfully, Danny’s Wok doesn’t deal in that kind of garbage whatsoever. What they do offer are amazing soups, a killer General Tso’s, a house special fried rice that would cause hungry men to commit crimes, and customer service that doesn’t even pretend to kiss your puckered starfish. I don’t know about you, but I like that: we’re here to trade currency for food. I don’t expect more, and it’s honestly awkward for me to get more. Now, this isn’t to say they’re not nice. I’ve never had a negative experience, from order to receipt at Danny’s Wok. Sure, the assholes outside who want my change… they’re a different story. If they could just use their words to speak real sentences, I’d be more inclined to hook them up with a little heroin change. But I don’t just give away money, willy-nilly, to heroin addicts without at least a few faux-earnest words and a rehearsed tale of woe. My heartstrings are almost too tuggable, but pretty much only respond to audible English. Sorry. All that aside, the food and the place is great. I order online before I go, and as a result I never have to wait. The staples of Chinese-American cuisine are all there, and they’re all better than I’ve ever had them… which, of course, led to some rumors a few years back that these folks were serving some – exotic – animals. Naturally, that’s a complete fabrication, and I’m glad that their amazing food outlived that vicious rumor. I love this place, and consider myself a diehard fan of theirs. If they sold t-shirts, I’d buy every size so that I could still fit into one as their food makes me fatter and fatter. If a man is going to die in such a short span of time as it is, that man might as well die happy, and for me, that«happy» would be the ability to regularly feast on meals from Danny’s Wok. «No bullshit, Wang?» «No bullshit, Jack.» It has never been easier for me to give a place 5 stars. Yes, I’d give the same review to Danny’s Wok as I would one of Garces, Andres or Flay’s finest! Knowing that I have the taste buds of a 7-year-old child, I’d probably rate Danny’s Wok even higher! PS — As numerously noted, they wing jawns be bangin’.

I work nearby, so I frequent this place often for lunch. I have had many of their items and all have been quite good. Yes, their wings are as good as everyone seems to say they are. The prices are typical of just about any take out Chinese place, however, the quality here is superior. The staff is friendly and the food is prepared quickly. There are a few tables nearby to eat lunch quickly, but it is basically a take out place. It’s in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of free parking. Bonus in Philly! My only complaint is they don’t take credit cards.

What?! The chicken here wasn’t all that, mediocre at best, I heard sum hype about this place, so I had to admit, i was intrigued. I ventured out on a Friday night to see for myself, for the faint, please be advised, this place not in the greatest neighborhood. I used to buy beer next door when I was not of age. But anyways the parking lot was packed, congested with pedestrians & cars, I’m thinking damn it’s gotta be good all these people here. I walk in the place busy as heck, I place my order for 10 wings, quick service, and I outta there. But much to my dismay, the wings were just okay, don’t get me wrong, they were large wings, but just ordinary wings you could get from any Chinese take out. Didn’t try the Chinese food, but they must be doing something right, or just in the right location. My personal opinion, don’t always believe the hype.

I have to admit, the food here is pretty good, especially the General Tso’s Chicken. I used to work at a school in that area, and this was one place I ordered from pretty often. Also, believe the hype about their wings. I’m not a wing person, but even I know theirs are very good.

I have been a frequent diner here for years. I’ve always loved Danny’s Wok. Granted, since they remodeled, they have made changes-charging tax, some smaller portions-but the food is still pretty good. I would suggest always ordering before you go there. It will cut down on annoyances from people begging outside, and the occasional ignorant person waiting inside.

Danny WOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! After hearing all the hype about Danny Wok’s wings I decided to travel all the way from Havertown to try them for myself. I will say that this place is definitely in a shady location. I grew up in Philly and will mess somebody UP if they try to stop me from getting my wings so I was cool. But I wouldn’t recommend certain people who might not blend in to try this place. Pros: The wings are very crispy. They remind me of Popeye wings, the way they are flaky and crispy and just melt in your mouth. The flavor of the wings are good and they are of a respectable size. I put hot sauce from home on mine. Service is very fast. It literally took them like 1 minute to take my order, fill the bag, and ring me out. Cons: Service is very fast. They have an army of people who appear to be asian in the back working like robots to quickly serve you. The woman who took my order shouted«WHONEXT» instead of smiling at me and asking if she could help me. GREASE! These wings are swimming in women with their own condominium, 5’5 who drive Millenniums. SIKE they are swimming in GREASE. My girlfriend had to steal my napkin to wipe the grease off her mouth. Prices are kind of high in my opinion. I brought 10 wings for $ 8. This is a hood spot… but those aren’t hood prices. Overall: I’d rate Danny Wok as a 7⁄10. The wings are great and you get fast service. The location is horrible and you’re thankful for the fast service so you can get out of there quickly. But overall it’s worth the drive down there.

Service: Okay. It’s a Chinese takeout spot that’s always busy. Their goal is to get through the line quickly, not necessarily service with a smile. Location: This spot is definitely in the hood. But it’s worth the risk. :-) Must Try: Wings and/or Cheesesteak Egg Rolls Summary: I never thought I’d find the best fried chicken wings at a Chinese takeout spot. But Danny’s Wok has them. People come in just for the chicken(ordering big party trays of 50 or 100). They are really good too. I like mine plain, but you can get toppings on them too(hot sauce, ketchup, mustard, cheez whiz, etc…). Like I said, I like mine plain but apparently some people like all those extras on their wings(otherwise I’m sure it wouldn’t be offered). The line may be long, but the service is always fast and the prices are pretty cheap. If you want some good fried chicken wings, go to Danny’s Wok. The Chinese food isn’t too bad either ;-)
