Saturday night our original plan was to check out another nearby bowling alley, but it was closed for a private party, so we stumbled upon Center Bowling because it was just a mile or so away. The place is in an odd parking lot, and its a low building, so we almost missed it. We had to stand by when we got there at 8:15, but we quickly got a lane. Two games and shoes came to about $ 11/person — a pretty great deal compared to places closer to the city. There’s definitely a trade-off, though. This is a no-frills operation and a lot of the equipment looks old, but the guy working was friendly enough and it was a fun and cheap night out. Hadn’t known till we got there that they are BYOB, but that’s a big plus!

I’m very torn on what to review for Center Lanes. I love this place because they almost always have lanes available, and most importantly they allow you to BYOB. If it wasn’t for the BYOB I would never come here. They are also very misleading about how late they are open. The website says they are open until 2am and whenever I call to double check, they say they are open until 2am. But on two separate occasions I have been kicked out well before midnight clearly because the man behind the counter doesn’t feel like working anymore. That is terrible business. Once I was with a friend who even said«Are you serious? You are turning down business that we are practically begging for?». He then let us stay for one more game. The crowd in Center Lanes is also skeptical sometimes. I have seen young children there very very late at night alone, and crowds getting quite rowdy. Overall the lanes are clean, the bowling bowl selection is wide and varied, and you can bring your own booze! Despite these complaints — I will be back.

Fun place to bring a group of friends to. The price averages out to about $ 5/game per person which isn’t bad I suppose. I like the place because it’s a BYOB and it’s easy to get to. It can be busy at times and during league nights but you can just about always get a lane without a wait.

Nice, clean bowling alley easy to get to right off City Line Ave. Friendly staff. Decent prices. Will def go back.

This place is fine — I just have an issue with Unilocal! and don’t know where to report it. This place is practically in Drexel Hill not anywhere NEAR Rittenhouse Square like it claims.
