This hair salon is horrible! It has terrible customer service! They did listen to me when I requested specific a hair style for my boyfriend but instead they gave him an attitude and cut it how ever they wanted to. I asked again the second time and they still did not listen. Don’t go here I hope they close down

I got to Ben hair salon once every 6 – 8 months to get Japanese hair straightening done. They know what they are doing. It took me some time to discover this salon as not a lot of salons offer Japanese hair straightening. Any Indian ladies who are looking for hair rebounding or permanent straightening, this is the place to be. Obviously they won’t touch your hair if have highlights or have colored hair. Love this place and will recommend to all. Ps– it’s easy on the pocket too.

I have always been partial towards Asian hair salons, and Ben’s is no exception. Conveniently located just a block from Chinatown favorites such as Dim Sum Garden, Nan Zhou Noodle House, and Tea-Do, Ben’s is the natural stop after some dim sum lunch on a weekend afternoon if you need a clip. The important thing you need to know about Asian hair salons is that they give your hair a pre-wash(shampoo and conditioner included) before actually starting to cut your hair. Since I’m not too particular with my hair, I just gave the barber some general guidelines and let him get to work. Once or twice he asked for my feedback, but for the most part he silently snipped and shaved. I could not have been in the chair for longer than fifteen minutes and it was done. I went back for a final wash before the barber made some final touch-ups and threw on some wax for good measure. I didn’t even feel the need to ask for an exact quote(men’s cuts are $ 12+), I just handed over $ 20 because that’s what I felt the whole cut and wash was worth. Clean and professional, it’s hard to do better than Ben Hair Salon.

I finally found a salon that is reasonable, accessible, clean and knows how to cut pixie hair. Ben did a great job with my hair. His salon is clean and the staff are friendly. I got a great shampoo massage which almost put me to sleep. Keep up the good work!

I needed a haircut, and lo and behold, most salons are closed on Mondays. Not Ben Hair Salon! With no appointment, I was given a nice, long, tip-worthy shampoo, and then sat in the chair. I wanted to have my hair fixed from a not so perfect cut I got at a salon around the corner(Perfect Cut), and the owner/hair stylist knew what I wanted. He took a long time snipping here and there until he got it to a pc of artwork. My hair turned out almost perfectly, minus the part where he cut it a little bit too short, and my neck got nicked a little from the buzz cutting — but really, my hair looks good. I would definitely come back here again, especially since it cost $ 20 for my cut plus $ 5 bc I liked the cut($ 2 to the shampoo girl).
