The maple bacon sandwich, get it. Great brunch spot, gets crowded during the weekend. Quality coffee and espresso as well. Cash only.

It was awsome just wish the staff was more friendly. Was visiting from Virginia and I would have went somewhere else if I knew they be in such a bad mood. Food was good though 3 stars for the food

Came here for a later brunch on Sunday of the holiday weekend(think around 2pm) to find a seat in the window. Upon walking in, you can tell it’s a smaller establishment but it’s quaint and that works for them so no big deal. However, with that said, expect to wait for your meal. the kitchen can only handle one or two party’s orders at a time. We ordered two simple breakfast sandwiches and waited about 35 – 40 minutes. However, I am also guilty of waiting that long for a sandwich at spread bagerly so who am I to complain?(Except I would have preferred the sandwich from spread.) Don’t get me wrong– the hot & sweet bacon, egg and cheese roll was tasty and different. In retrospect though, it could have been filled a little more because the roll contained a lot of bread The fries were cooked perfectly. But at the end of the day, our bill was $ 27 for two okay/good(not amazing) egg sandwiches, an iced coffee and latte. It was an overpriced meal, in my opinion. In addition to that, and to probably a fault of my own for not checking, I was shortchanged $ 10 upon paying. I am disappointed as I was looking forward to coming here but I honestly do not think I would endure that wait or pay that price(regardless of the shortchange) for that average meal again.

I came to Ants Pants Café for brunch. I was happily surprised it was Australian! There was vegemite on the counter, flat whites and long blacks on the coffee menu, and different types of Aussie decorations and menu items. Yay! We waited almost 25 minutes for a table, but the place was mobbed. They don’t take your name, you just stand in a line and get the next table available. Odd, but its a tiny place, so it works. Once sat, the dining area is small, but they do have a nice outside eating area in the back yard. My ham, brie, egg, avocado on a croissant sandwich was very delicious. The over-medium egg was a tad over-cooked, as it didn’t drip at all. But, the sandwich was still juicy from the tomato and avocado. We also got the classic egg, bacon, and cheese on long roll, which had a delicious aoli sauce on it. My cold brew coffee was strong and delicious. Overall, great food, cute place for brunch. The wait was long, and the food took 30 mins to be cooked, so it took a while, but they were super busy. I’ll come back! I want to try more items from the delicious looking menu.

This place is our favorite and regular go-to for brunch on the west side of town. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Casual and intimate, with relatively limited seating, but that never seems to be a problem for the staff or the dozens of people waiting for a table. The food is delicious, fresh and consistent, the staff are friendly(our server is typically Paul, who is awesome and after 2 or 3 times remembered our ordering habits!). They have a BLAST(bacon, lettuce, avocado, smoked salmon, tomato) on the menu, which I consider the greatest sandwich option anywhere – I typically order it on sourdough instead of the focaccia, but both options are good. My fiancé typically gets the stuffed French toast, which is also awesome. The There is always a different smoothie or shake on the specials board(if you see the Tim-Tam milkshake, GETIT!), and the brunch specials offer a nice variety. There are regular, chip style(like thick, softer potato chips) and sweet potato fries, but don’t let that steer you away from getting the salad side with your meal – the vinaigrette is beautifully emulsified and deliciously tangy. There are some specifics about it that I would not call downsides, but they are worth noting: cash only, long line after 10(we never mind waiting), no alcohol – I’m not sure if they are officially BYOB for brunch, but they never seem to mind – and you’re going to be sitting very close to the diners at other tables. The only thing that can steer you wrong at Ant’s Pants is sitting at the front counter. This is because of a nasty draft when it’s especially cold or hot outside, and the diners waiting in line cramp your style and make it difficult for the staff to get to you – better to wait in line for a table!

This place was jam packed on a Sunday at 12:30 and rightfully so. The food was absolutely delicious. I got a basket of sweet potato fries to start, which were the freshest sweet potato fries I’ve ever had at a restaurant — two thumbs up from a big sweet potato fan. For my main meal I got the Egg, Ham and Brie Sandwich. I requested scrambled eggs instead of over medium, and they obliged without hassle. The combo of egg, ham, brie, avocado and tomato was delightfully decadent. A small side salad rounded out the meal and was a good balance to the rich sandwich. My friend got banana and dark chocolate pancakes — the bananas were carmelized to perfection in the pancake and the sweetness level was so spot on that we didn’t even touch the syrup it came with. Overall, a great brunch, but I highly recommend going with a small group(ideally 2 people) as the space is pretty cramped.

I was in from out of town looking for a delicious brunch in the area, and we stumbled upon ants pants. I think I may have had one of the more creative, tastiest breakfast sandwiches in recent memory. I had the maple bacon sandwich with avocado, beets, a medium egg, pickled onions, arugula, and some sort of aioli. The combo was incredible and innovative. My friends had the stuffed french toast and the brie and ham egg sandwich. Everyone was in all smiles but my dish was the bombdiggity.

My favorite spot for brunch. I use to be a weekly brunch regular at Sidecar but once I tried ants pants I never looked back. The guy who runs the place is as nice as can be and so is the rest of the staff. The menu is chock full of everything bacon you could ever imagine but I’m pretty sure they have vegan options too … I would really know because I’m drooling over the endless bacon possibilities. What really makes s good brunch place in my book– and I brunch… A lot. — is sandwich options and Ants Pants has them. The coffee selection is awesome including Australian iced coffee, which has ice cream, and flat whites, which originated in Australia– and are my fav. Yup. Totally love this place and don’t think I’ll get tired of the extensive perfect brunch menu anytime soon!

One of my favorite brunch places to go to! They have amazing food and even more amazing coffee. I would recommend going there early rather than later if you’re going on a weekend. They do not have the most amount of seating, so far you don’t have to wait for a long time, get there early! They have a very cute patio area as well! Tip: cash only. But they have an ATM in the café so no worries if you forget! $ 1.75 surcharge if you use the ATM!

I love brunch any time of the day so I’m so surprised I’ve never heard of this place before! I am seriously obsessed with the cozy vibe and super nice waiters they have at this little joint! I ordered two dishes and Maple Bacon was MYFAVORITE… i cannot stop raving about it. It is literally everything you want for brunch in a sandwich form. It has the perfect texture and crunch to every bite. I also tried their latte and its pretty poppppping! I will definitely be returning with more friends! BTW this place is CASHONLY! there is CVS right across the street so you can always get cash back if you forget ;)

Ambience: the courtyard is small but cozy and preferable during warm weather versus the inside which tends to get a little cramped. Food: the food is delicious! My favorite dish for brunch is the vegetarian sweet potato hash. It consists of golden beets, grilled fennel and sunny side-up eggs with a horseradish ginger aioli that brings everything together is a way that’s very satisfying to the palate. Service: the staff are very friendly and accommodating; we didn’t have to wait long for our food at all. I highly recommend this place!

This brunch spot was great! I went on a Friday, had good service. The food was pretty decent! I would definitely be down to try some of the other items on their menu the next time I go(hopefully not as hungover as I was). The only downside is that they were playing a lot of Linda Ronstadt while I was there which was an odd switch from the house music that was playing when I walked in… not sure what that was about but it made for a great laugh with my friend.

I had the special avocado eggs Benedict and it was delicious. It had a mashed avocado spread and bacon as opposed to a traditional eggs Benedict. It was very good and I recommend it. I also had the iced chocolate and it was delicious and refreshing. It tastes just like a chocolate milk with ice cream in it. I will definitely be back here again for brunch. Everyone was very friendly and it was a good experience.

I came here Friday morning for breakfast. I ordered the vegetarian sweet potato hash. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. I also had a spy latter… Amazing. My boyfriend has the avocado eggs Benedict with the Aussie iced chocolate(ice cream milk shake) and he was very satisfied and happy with his meal. I will be back!!! I love this place. The server was so friendly.

I go periodically to get lunch as I work nearby. I always get a salad. I have noticed that the quality is deteriorating. The«arugula» salad is not, but the bitter parts of lettuce, and there is less bacon. Today I was treated rudely on top of that. I do not gluten and told her I could not eat the bread she put in there(usually, they ask me so I can say no). The person making it felt that it was too much trouble for her to remove it and«I am just going to throw it out» she said, so I had to take it and do that myself. She is very assertive– I get it, but I am the customer, right? I guess I am done here.

There isn’t too much seating available, so if you don’t want to wait too long getting here before 10:30 in a weekend would help. And this is a CASH only place. Be sure to bring cash or you can use the ATM inside the restaurant. We ordered the spinach and goat cheese omelette and the French toast. Either food option was filling and not too much food to feel too stuffed. Price is fair for the food. I’ll come back if I’m in the area again.

I was happy with my experience here. My friend and I came for brunch around 11am on a weekday and got seated right away. I ordered the grilled cheese with side of homemade potato chips. I thought the sandwich was good. Good bread. Included bacon so can’t really go wrong with that. I may have enjoyed it more with less of the mustard sauce used but that’s my own personal preference. The portion size was large so I ate half the sandwich and packed up the rest. The potato chip was pretty good too and good for leftovers without getting soggy like french fries would.

Cute place but small seating. The wait for a table is generally about 30 – 40 min for a small group on Sunday brunch. However, after you order the wait for your food is is actually quite long(30 min for 4 people). There’s a cute Australian flair but it has typical brunch faire — eggs Benedict, French toast, hash. I always get the Italian sausage sweet potato hash with spicy mayo because it’s the best on the menu. Be warned — their mediocre coffee is $ 3! Get the flat white which is $ 3.20.

*CASHONLY, BYO, AWFUL service… Shocked and disappointed… This place has great reviews and I was drooling over Instagram shots of their food, but came by for brunch at 10 am on Sunday and probably had the WORST service from a restaurant I’ve had in a very long time. To start we were seated and completely ignored for 15 minutes, then when our server appeared we asked about opening a bottle of champagne and ordering juice for mimosas, he disappeared and a woman came by the table 10 minutes later saying I thought you needed a corkscrew. I told her it was a bottle of champagne we wanted to open, but we needed glasses and juice for mimosas. She gave me a confused look when I said this and implied that would she open the bottle for us(is this not something a server at a restaurant should do for you?) She then disappeared and 5 minutes later our male server reappeared with glasses, but we had yet to order juice. Approximately 30 – 40 minutes after sitting we were served juice for our mimosas and ordered our meal. After ordering there was no hope of getting our servers attention for more napkins when we had a small spill and no one came back to our table before the food runner brought our plates. I basically had to grab the guys arm to ask him for more napkins and some ketchup. The food itself was good, but honestly nothing I couldn’t find elsewhere for brunch in Philadelphia. The cherry on top was when our plates were cleared and the bill was dumped on the table, our server waited about 5 minutes before rudely asking if we could pay the bill and go because there was a line of people waiting for tables.

Consistent and solid brunch choice. BYO champagne to mix with their frothy orange juice for a delicious mimosa. The vegetarian hash is a top choice, and the chip fries with sriracha wiz! The lines have been long, but the service is quick once seated. Cash only!

Went to this café with one of my Aussie friends. Ants Pants takes pride in serving«brekkie» which is really just Australian for breakfast. There are some other terms throughout the menu that make my Aussie friend feel close to home. Other than it being a cute, friendly café, the food was amazing! My sister and I split two different meals. I got the sausage hash and my sister got the regular French toast. The hash was the best I’ve ever had with a mix of sweet and regular potatoes with crispy sausage crumbles throughout. All the potatoes were crispy, but not greasy at all. 2 sunny side up eggs were on top of the hash and a garlic aioli drizzled on top. I will be dreaming of that aioli for days to come. In fact, I was craving the hash, eggs and aioli again once it was time for lunch!(Don’t worry I didn’t go back though!) The French toast was also good. They have this sweetened sour cream on the side which is pretty good. Overall my new favorite brunch place in the city. Just know it’s cash only but they have an atm on site.

Nice little place with its own flavor and quirks about it(got some Aussie vibes inside). They’ve got all the milks you need for your coffee(save hemp) and can modify your brunch menu all you want. Quick service, slightly cramped, but all around a great meal and usually short wait times.

Always worth the wait. Everything on the menu is outrageously good. I’ve taken friends, coworkers, my Mom, kids, etc. My 3 teenagers loved their food. I love the fresh ingredients and homemade soups. Today I had the caramel milk shake with almond milk. It’s was delish. Pancakes are insane. Egg stack is so good and a fun change for brunch. Crispy bacon and feta salad is one of my favorites. You have to get the sweet potato fries to share. Service is solid and friendly. Place is always clean.

Excellent brunch! Unique breakfast combos(I have an egg, avocado, Brie, tomato sandwich) and delicious coffee(always a litmus test for a good brunch spot. Good serving size so that you are satisfied but not comatose from food for the remainder of the day. Small and cozy location with option to sit outside in a covered greenhouse type area out back. Probably eat for groups about 4 or under just bc if size. Friendly and quick service. I highly recommend trying this brunch spot out!

My favorite brunch. You can’t go wrong with the sweet potato hash, or the Australian Brekkie. Don’t skip the sweet potato fries with the sweet & sour sauce, and sour cream. I dined there solo numerous times when I lived in Philly, and never minded it. I’ve never really waited long, and the place is cozy. The chairs are kind of dinky, but it’s a small place so I can’t really complain about the lack of lavish furnishings.

Decently good spot in my Grad Hospital neighborhood, tucked away on South St. right by the Triangle at 23rd. Partner and I went for brunch on Saturday morning around 11, with a 5 minute wait. Be warned, the seating can get pretty tight(about 5 – 6 seats up front, maybe 35 – 40 total in the back), as evidenced by the little knot of people waiting inside for tables to open up. We split the Sweet Potato/Beef Hash w/garlic aioli and the Stack(bacon, arugula, sunny side up eggs on sourdough bread) w/chip fries. Both were solid, not spectacular. I felt things were a little on the salty side for both dishes, though maybe that was just the fact that there was bacon and fries involved. Sourdough bread for the Stack was on point, though. $ 30 altogether, including tax/tip. Not terrible. Overall, perhaps worth a return visit in a couple months, though I won’t be raring to go back.

This place was great for brunch! I imagine there is normally a long wait, but we managed to get in pretty quickly. I had the caprese baguette sandwich with the fries. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. Glad I found this spot, I will be back again!

Great coffee at this café and extremely reasonable prices. I had coffee, bacon, eggs, cheese, and fries for $ 10.80. Humongous portions too. The service is a little slow but that really isn’t a reason to avoid this very good café. If nothing else, just go for the coffee! Very laid back place and friendly staff. Solid food and an imaginative menu to boot.

Very solid brunch and lunch location. Had the eggs with bacon, green apples and chips(thick cut real potato chips). Delicious and perfectly cooked! Location is small but there’s outdoor seating — 2 tables in front and some in back Others: –Service was super friendly –Not crowded on a weekday at 1p –Reasonable prices Overall a great experience and I will be back! Sad they don’t take reservations!

My friend and I walked past this place one day and was recommended by a passerby to try this place. The wait was super long that day, so we didn’t. We went back on a Saturday around 2pm and was seated right away, which was sweet. It is a regular coffee shop in the front and a small, casual restaurant in the back, with additional outside seatings. I tried the popular avocado turkey and really liked it. The price is relatively cheap for Philly, $ 10 – 12. The waiter was polite and fast. This is the type of place that I can see myself frequent and have a casual chat with friends or for when I don’t feel like cooking.

Cute little café on a lovely sunny street. Amazing brunch choices. Definitely something to look forward to on a Sunday morning. [ vibe ] Sunny, wood tables, ikea-joyful. The bar at the window is definitely the place to be. Cute touches: a large framed map of Sydney on the wall and a neat basket of British chocolates near the checkout counter. [ food ] We ordered the dill scrambled eggs and eggs benedict. Scrambled eggs came with fruit and toast, and your choice of fresh, real apricot or raspberry jam(none of that Smuckers business). Everything was delicious, freshly cooked, and well-flavoured. Orange juice is pulpy-fresh and the coffee is strong. Portion sizes are very generous — you will walk out food-coma full. [ conclusion ] Add this to your brunch list. Grab someone you like, take a lazy Sunday morning, and start the day off right!
