I have been walking past this location for years, so when we decided to remodel our kitchen, we thought going for a local company and not a big box store or a store on Washington Ave was more reliable. We were right and wrong. Gus and Tom are real nice but once we secured our purchase, they became harder to contact. My biggest issue is the quality of product we received. They only sell Wolf cabinets, and we could only afford the cheapest ones, which was still over $ 3,000 in cabinets. Most of the cabinets we received have have scratches, dents and marks on them. They came this way, so I am worried they won’t last everyday use. One of the shelves had some cracks in the front but only that one, the rest were fine. Another issue we had with A&P was that when we installed the cabinets, we noticed issues with the layout that they should have addressed with the design. 1. We opted for drawers in our breakfast bar which is next to our fridge. The refrigerator we own is extra large which was a design issue from the beginning. A&P did not take into account how far the drawers come out, so the middle drawer hits the fridge and can’t be opened all the way. 2. A cabinet that sits up against our wall did not have enough room to open. My contractor addressed this with A&P and they said it did not need a filler, but it did so my contractor made one. The cabinets are adjustable so we could work with them, which was great. But this is the only brand of cabinet A&P uses, so if you don’t love Wolf cabinets, try some other stores as well. Luckily my husband is a carpenter and he could manipulate some issues. And thankfully our contractor was able to address some of the issues as well. But the quality of cabinet could not be fixed by skills. I don’t foresee us needing to replace them immediately, but I don’t think these cabinets will last 15 years, sadly. So all in all, Gus and Tom were fine to work with. They were nice, answered emails and calls and had decent hours. It’s the brand of cabinet they use that you should be cautious of. Maybe the higher tier cabinets are that much better that they are worth the price increase? We do like our kitchen, and it is great for now.
