Love the little Asian family that runs this business. The beers are cheap and the service is fast. The selection is expansive and you can always count that your drink will be icy cold. It may be in a very sketchy part of town but if you can look past that, this place is very convenient for those looking for cheap drinks in a hurry.

Situated among crackheads perpetually at the 47 stop is this place. Dutchies and ‘Canes in one place? Such a bet. No ID? Underage? They’ll be hounding you to go in the store for a couple bucks. :] See, they can be useful.

My continuing search to find take-out beer has led me many places in Philly. Some are better than others, and some are worse. Enter 700SE Inc. While the name may not be that creative, it is at least descriptive. This store is located on the southeast corner of 700 Synder Ave and S 7th St. If you dodge the hustlers and crackheads surrounding the doors and peak behind the expansive bulletproof glass, you’ll find a wall of beer awaiting you! Six packs. 40’s. Cans. Cigarettes. Candy bars. Go wild! The Asian family that run this corner store aren’t the most inviting. They are timid and suspicious of you. But they have good reason, as this corner attracts riffraff and illegal endeavors. Plan on being harassed for money or hit up for smokes by somebody loitering outside, and you won’t be let down. If you’re lucky, somebody won’t be shouting as you enter the doors. Don’t expect to leisurely browse, as the store is on lock down. I’m giving this place 3-stars because they have a far greater beer selection than they have any right to stock. Their prices can also be cheaper than center city, but I would attribute that to the less-than-desirable neighborhood. It might be well advised for ladies to take caution after dark. This is smack in the middle of the impoverished, crime ridden corridor that runs down South Philly between 5th and 7th Streets. That being stated, 700SE Inc. is a surefire remedy to fix your lack of beer woes. I wouldn’t exactly say this store benefits the neighborhood, but it is a nice place to have around your house — as long as you live a few blocks away from it.
