As far as hosting venues go, I can’t think of a more likely candidate in an oft forgotten location. 2424 studios has the space and the character that can not only accommodate but also impress your guests whether your hosting a wedding, a cocktail hour, or your annual Dungeons and Dragons convention. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

This venue far surpassed my expectations. We attended a Macallans Whiskey event here and the setting was perfect for hosting a cocktail hour filled with mingling and later a seated presentation and tasting. The space offered a great balance of old world charm with subtle updates. I hear rumors that it used to be an ammunition warehouse but nothing that I could confirm. The brick, old beams and simple black and white accents created a blank canvas allowing any affair to add its own color and flair. I would recommend checking out this space if you are looking for great event space.

Was here for a holiday party for my job and it is a pretty cool place. It is a very spacious place and has a great sound system.

Another warehouse of endless possibilities that keeps the Philly arts scene fresh! 2424 Studios is one of those spots that I always heard about when it came down to events like the Philadelphia Independent Craft Market and the Philadelphia FM Festival. But it took the Pabst Blue Ribbon Crafting Challenge that featured PBR inspired crafts, and chili cook off that featured the likes of PYT and Abbaye; and live music from kick ass bands like Levee Drivers and TJ Kong & the Atomic Bomb to finally check it out. And while I savored bites of incredible chili and PBR inspired refreshments I was able to get a grasp on more of what 24224 Studios had to offer as a whole. Upon checking out the list of tenants I was able to spot recognizable names like Backseat Conceptions(The crew behind this long lost gem — ), Village Green Productions( ), and others who held it down within the arts and music genre taking up residency within it many office spaces. There was also plenty of real estate groups, wellness centers, photographers, IT/Designer services, non-profits, and(say it isn’t so!) Five Hour Energy Drink inside. The Skybox where the Crafting Challenge took place is by far the main attraction. It is a wide open and huge open warehouse space that is designed soley to showcase some eclectic events. Aside from the aforementioned craft market and FM Festival, Philebrity has hosted a few special events inside, Bands in the Backyard held its SXSW send off party(and might be moving into an office), and Making Time has hosted at least one of its Halloween freak outs here. And its calendar fills up with plenty of other eclectic occasions.

A giant warehouse on York Street. Well. How exciting could it be? The answer. Moderately exciting! I attended a show at this space. Philebrity has hosted a few events there prior to this one, but I was happy to check out Lewis & Clarke there. The space is BEAUTIFUL. A huge open room surrounded by 2 levels of office and work space. It surely made for a great show space. Being surrounded by artwork and drinking free beer is always a plus in my book, too. Another crazy thing. Making Time on Halloween was hosted here! I did not get there before it sold out, but I’m sure it was all sorts of crazyness. I’m sure there were a lot of drunk people walking to Wawa at 3 a.m. That’s for sure. Surely worth checking out. Especially for anyone in Port Richmond/Fishtown. Keep your eyes peeled for events.
