Very low profile place, but I felt at home there with the home kitchen looking set up! We ordered the potato ball, breakfast sandwich and omelet. The ball was super creamy and yummy, omelet was great but we both agreed we loved the sandwich a little more! BIG sandwich I had to split it with my husband!!! Will def go back for the low prices and great food that’s NOT oily at all!

Clean, unpretentious, great little café when you’re looking for that perfect café con leche and tostada! All pastries are made on site, and don’t forget to grab a loaf of their Cuban bread! Reasonable prices and Spanish is not necessary if you are trying to order! I can’t wait to return to try one of their sandwiches made on their freshly made bread!

What I love about Cuban food is summed up in the photo I attached — $ 5.35 for plenty of food. My family has lived in the Casselberry/Winter Springs area for over a decade and my first trip to Lo Mejor surely guarantees the next. Arroz blanco with habichuelas roja was delicious and the papa rellena was very good and not oily at all. The space was convenient and clean. It was hilarious that there was a little girl in the kitchen yelling for«papitas.» Now I have to get those to. Lo Mejor features a breakfast menu and seating available outside. Me? I’ll be back for a Cuban sandwich. I’d be amazed if I were, in any way, disappointed.

This is a nice and low profile place for Latin food. Food is wonderful with a home style cooking. My favorite is the«Lechon asado», either as a plate or sandwich. Prices are good as well as service. You won’t see luxury in the walls but you will taste it in the food. Worth to try it.

Best Cuban sandwich take-out! Lean tender pork, clean sliced ham, bread nicely toasted, pickle perfect. That and a café con leche and I’ll call it lunch. We’ll have to head back sometime to get a real meal since everything was great. Since we moved from South Florida we’ve been on the hunt for an authentic Cuban spot and looks like we found it.

Love this place, real Cuban food. Fresh and large portions. The Cuban bread is excellent and the owners are the best. Is like walking into your neighbor’s home.

The food was amazing and for less than $ 20. We had a Beef Empanada, a pulled pork cuban sandwich and arroz amarillo con habichuelas negras, carne guisada & maduros. The café con leche is also very delicious and strong, how we like it.

This place is beyond good! I’m so happy I finally found a real Cuban restaurant in Orlando! The staff is friendly and the food is excellent! My favorite is the classic Cuban sandwich. I’ve become a regular at least once a week!

I’m from south Florida and I have been struggling to find a decent Cuban coffee in Orlando. This place by far exceeds my expectations. The coffee is great and their empanadas are very good. You gotta remember that this place is not one of those fancy chain restaurants and that is why their food and coffee is awesome.

When it comes to local businesses few things delight me more than a strip mall gem. And this place most definitely fits the bill! The menu is straightforward — various meat and rice plates, potato balls, Cuban sandwiches, various pastries(including sweet cheese and guava), and a various bottles beverages. As for the restaurant itself, it’s pretty basic — a smattering of tables and chairs just large enough to dine in and head out. And while the décor isn’t flashy, the food certainly shines. My Cuban sammie was de-freakin-licious: hearty slices of meat, the perfect quantity of sour pickles, lightly sauced and all folded into toasty warm, lightly crunchy bread. Yeah buddy. I was also fortunate enough to sample a bite of my dining companion’s potato ball(papa rellena). You must get one; it’s crispy, flavorful and nicely put together. If you find yourself in the area and looking for a delicious and affordable meal, definitely stop in. By

Before I get started, this is the same business as the one listed under El Mejor Del Mundo( ). I believe that the business’ actual name begins with Lo, and not El(this at least is how it is listed on the side of one of the business’ trucks that was parked outside it the other day). For an in-depth review, see the one I posted, as well as the others, under the other listing. I initially assigned a full 5 stars to this business, though it really is more along the lines of a 4(or, maybe and as Tom A. opined, a 3; he seems to know his Cuban … I do not, really, so anything I say about authentic Cuban fare should be taken with a grain of salt … I just like what tastes good!). This shop has an interesting atmosphere. Fellow Unilocaler Chris R. and I were here yesterday(4÷11÷12) and sat outside for a while and talked while a host of Cuban/Latino customers stopped by, with some gathering in a group outside to pass the time, socialize and enjoy the atmosphere as did Chris and I. Chris said that many people who come here are regulars(even he is!) and that the shop definitely does have a cultural appeal. As you can imagine, the menu here primarily, if not exclusively, consists of Cuban fare, though you also are able to order basic items such as bacon, egg and cheese on a Cuban roll(just as I did yesterday). It was very good. The main appeal of this shop, to me, is the espresso as well as the coffee-based beverages. If you look at Chris’ review at the other listing, you can see that he swears by the shop’s espresso. I had this here last year and also loved it. I ordered one yesterday, as well, and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I also tried a café con leche yesterday; this also was wonderful. I hope to be back again soon, though the shop is a considerable distance from where I live and I’ve promised myself that I’d check out some other nearby places for espresso/etc. If you’re nearby this shop, though, check it out … at least for an espresso or café con leche. And, again … see the other listing(linked to above) for further details.

First time coming to ”El Mejor Del Mundo Cuban Café” in Fern Park, the food was not to bad but not the best Cuban I have had. Before. Coming from Cuban family on my moms side I have had better Cuban food else were and even at home, nothing beats a home made meal. I had” the meal” $ 7.50. witch included(S) Ropa Vieja(old clothe) witch is shredded meat in a tomato sauce with white rice and black beans and plátanos maduros and a Mango drink(sunchy) over all the food tasted good and it was kept in a an area were it suppose to stay warm but was not very hot. The rice was not cooked all the way and was a bit hard and the black beans were ok but i have had better beans. The staff is nice and the place is kept pretty clean even the bathroom. I went when they were almost close so that’s is probably why the food was a bit old and not as fresh and warm, I will give this place another chance again. I also got a Mamey milk shake and it was okay but not that great, the flavor was not to bath but it not enough to were it made me happy, also it was not thick enough. Could of use maybe some more milk. Over all i think this business needs some work in order to stay in business. I can name at least 4 – 5 places around Orlando that have better food, to go we took a couple of stuffed potatoes with meat inside(also nothing special and had barely any meat in it.

I’ve had the food but not the espressos, however Chris’s and Mike’s review of the beverage has tempted me to try it. At this moment, this place serves the second-best Cuban sandwich I have tried in the area. The pork tastes like it is roasted, and it looks like pork(I can’t say that about the pork on other places’ Cuban). Papa rellena and other fried goodies are good. I haven’t had the entrees, but they look good and I saw other customers eating them. Crowded at lunch time, so give them a couple of extra minutes to prepare your meal.

I just had a double cuban espresso here today. I get them here regularly. It’s the best I’ve found in town and one of my very favorite drinks. I have not been able to replicate this drink at home, it’s so strong and sweet. AMAZING. They also sell all kinds of cuban dishes and none are over $ 8 most are $ 7. Sandwiches too
