This is a place of ocean city of old.(I understand that this place was originally located in Baltimore. The old bar was relocated from the old place). My parents are retired and live in town and love the place. I think that this is the main clientele they have. Older locals. Get past the dated appearance and its not to bad. No wait on a Saturday night. Resonate prices. And good food. Tip: if you eat in the bar, some of the menu prices are cheaper.

I came here with my mother and boyfriend the weekend after Thanksgiving. There were four other tables with people, all of them senior citizens. That didn’t seem like a great sign, but whatever. I ordered stuffed shrimp and when it was brought to the table, I started eating it. Of course. It became apparent almost immediately that this was not shrimp, but some sort of fish… in a delicious sauce, but I’m not really fond of fish. I brought the error to the waiter’s attention, who took the dish back into the kitchen. He came back out a few minutes later to tell me they were out of stuffed shrimp. So I tried again, and ordered something else with shrimp in it. Five minutes later, the waiter came back and told me the kitchen ACTUALLY meant they were out of shrimp altogether. So I ordered stuffed shells. They tasted like the frozen stuffed shells I can get at the supermarket and make myself. After all that trouble, I didn’t even finish them. I’m giving this place one star for the food/whatever the hell was going on the in the kitchen, and an extra star for the waiter. He was actually really great through the entire ordeal.

At best, it is adequate. Dated interior, declining food quality, OK service. Expensive in-season. Used to be better.

We almost made the mistake of NOT going here because it looked sort of blah from the outside. But we went, and it was great!!! I had a cream of crab soup and a salad, and my husband got the seafood platter which included crab, scallops, shrimp, and more. The side dish of the cucumber and onion salad was particularly tasty. Our waitress was sweetly charming, and in the other part of the restaurant there was a singles night for the 55+ set with a guy on his keyboard playing hits from the 60s and 70s! Go there and get the cream of crab soup!!! I could go for some more of it now!
