I just waited over ten min at the drive thru window for one burger and fries. (Only me and one person behind me in line) My total was $ 4.33 and I gave him $ 5.33. He handed me $ 0.85 back. I literally made it as easy as I could. Then when I try to explain to him how he messed up he just stares at me like an idiot. I just told him not to worry about it. Don’t want to hurt his brain by making him think to hard. And the fries were all hard and crunchy. I normally love Steak N Shake but this was disappointing. This is my first ever Unilocal review and I only would take time out of my day to write on here if I am blown away with how amazing or shitty my service is. So congratulations Steak N Shake!

If your looking for a cheap place to eat with barely average food then you should go here. I am not real big on thick cut bologna slices being bigger than the hamburger patties that are served at this establishment. Lots of different spicing made the food OK, they do have a very extensive menu for milkshakes. The shakes were the best thing about this restaurant. Good kids meals too.

Took 25 minutes to get through the drive through with just one car ahead of me. I waited at the speaker for about 5
Minutes before my order was taken, waited behind a car for 10, and then another 10 for 1 COLD breakfast sandwich. Also, the guy running drive through started to hit on me and I just drove off. No thanks.

The food was okay, not outstanding, not horrible. What really got me, though, was standing at the checkout counter near the kitchen waiting to pay. I managed to get a look at the kitchen’s floor.
Apparently cleanliness and keeping food and trash off the floor is not their strong suit. It looked like a tornado had been through it. Napkins, lettuce, etc. littered it in every square foot of space. I used to work at the world’s seediest fast food joint, and it was never that bad.
If it was just okay food, I’d probably have no issue going back for a fast, cheap meal, but I don’t feel comfortable going back to a place that seemed so dirty in the kitchen.

Always loved their shakes! Burgers delicious as well! Service tend to be a little rushed, understaffed. Overall, good place to eat at!

My first steak and shake experience. LOVED IT! Why is everything always better when its far far away from home? The ground sirloin steak burger is awesome and the shoestring fries are crispy and perfect. Wish they would give you a little more though. This is very reminiscent of a Johnny Rockets, but I feel like the quality is by far superior.

My hubby and I are regulars! Cant ask for more reasonable prices, good food and good service. Angie andd Brittney are awesome. If we do come in on an off day the managers take good care of us.

feeling sorry for myself on mother’s day as my grown kids live in another state and so does my own mother — so what better way to suppress your emotions but eat fast food. I decided to detour by the drive thru here and treat myself to a tropical banana shake which I saw advertised last week and was curious. while I was there — I went ahead and had two little slider burgers with ketchup and mustard also and they were tasty and I drank every last drop of that shake… The dude at the window was pleasant and wished me a good day. At least I had a little human contact on Mother’s day…

I came in for a burger. I got a burger but it wasn’t fully cooked (not just picky it really was not done by any ones standards). My waitress was so kind and had a new one rushed out to me. I like when I go somewhere and even if it isn’t perfect I can trust them to make it right and they did :)
