Maggie’s Lunchbox is a restaurant that is in an industrial park which makes it a rather odd place to have a restaurant; however, when you go inside, it completely different than what one might expect. It seems small when you get there, but it’s not really that small. There are two large rooms toward the back with plenty of seating for customers. Also, they do a large amount of business at lunch time, too. There menu is on the wall above the counter. You go in and order at the counter, and then they bring your food out to you when they have it ready. The food was good, and I liked it because it was a little more than I expected. The bacon was larger than average pieces and cooked crispy the way I liked it. The bread was slightly toasted and like that, too. The salad was fresh and crispy, but more importantly, cold and crunchy; that I liked, too. It was a good price for what I got. I am planning to return when I’m in the area again.

I love the Cuban panini here, absolutely delicious. Get there early for lunch as the line is most times out the door. Their homemade desserts are also well worth it. The owners are always present and very nice to talk with.

I eat at Maggie’s 3 – 4 times a month and had the BLT today. No skimping on the B for sure. Great daily specials and the crew there is always friendly. It was exactly what the office park needed!

Where to begin… Been going to Maggies for years! Can’t believe I’ve never done a review for them! Locally owned, great staff, hard workers, fantastic food. Breakfast and lunch items. Unbelievable soups! Dailey specials. Incredible handmade bakery items. The place is a win win. No delivery but they do an awesome call ahead. They listen and ALWAYS get it right. They have their specials on a Month at a glance on their website. Highly recommend you check it out!

The cookies were good and the salad okay, but the sandwiches were awful. We got the turkey and the roast beef. Very stale bread and the meat was riddled with huge, fatty, greasy, clear bits. After trimming all that off we were left with ¾ of the meat. This was on both sandwiches. I also could not bring my self to eat most of the bread. I will not go back.

My experience here is nothing less than superb! Fresh fresh fresh! Delicious Caesar salad with the original recipe! Gooey butter cake is indeed the very best I’ve had. This is my first visit, but it won’t be my Last!

Awesome local lunch spot! Very tasty handmade items and specials. Their lemon dressing is worth the drive alone. Check their hours as they are lunch only.

Best known secret in Fenton for Breakfast & Lunch. Creative specials always good & with a twist. Very good for a lunch meeting. Tables are well separated. The desserts are excellent. Breakfast also great.

Maggie tucked away her lunch box in a nondescript office park in MO. Thanks to the magic of Unilocal,I was able to grab breakfast here before a meeting. The food was excellent. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant, which had a great homemade touch, and everything was nice and fresh. My colleague had a salad and we both got coffee. I think lunch was under $ 10. In New York, it would be that much just to purchase the rights to a chair. The other food(lunch and dessert) also looked appetizing, and I will definitely be back if I’m in town!

This is one of my go to lunch spots. Really good specials everyday and the grilled chicken club is outrageously good! Price is fair and let’s of seating is available. Even though the outdoor seating faces the parking lot it doesn’t have that feel to it. I’ve never had any of the dessert items but they all look tasty. I would highly recommend this joint.

Cuban is amazing. Finally a reasonably priced lunch place that makes quality food. St. Louis needs more of restaurants like Maggie’s.

Everything is fresh fresh fresh. My only complaint is that they aren’t open during the weekends. Best Gooey butter cake!!!

I ordered the delicious french toast with bacon and it was so good! Especially the crispy bacon! My bf ordered a chicken sandwich that looked so delicious too bad i didn’t make room to try it. The chili was really good too– a must try! I would eat here again for lunch or brunch any day!!!

I’ve always imagined Maggie as a nice lady with a flair for cooking, baking, and preparing delicious food. I was wrong. Well, partially. The food is good, but Maggie isn’t a lady at all. The restaurant actually is named after the owners’ now 6-year-old son Magnus. He apparently was on spring break this week, and during my visit today, I had the honor of receiving my change from him(with help from an adult, of course). It was seriously adorable. My change was $ 14, and the man asked Magnus to collect $ 4 to go with the ten-dollar bill. Magnus was stumped at first because he didn’t see any four-dollar bills in the cash register. :) THEBASICS Maggie’s is open Monday through Friday, from 6AM to 4PM. You’ll order at the counter, and they’ll bring your food to your table. Drinks are self-serve.(They have Diet Coke AND Diet Dr Pepper.) Breakfast is served from 6AM to 2PM. Menu includes: French toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, ham, and breakfast potatoes Lunch is served from 10AM to 4PM. Menu includes: Sandwiches, soup, and salads Maggie’s also serves some beautiful desserts. On your visit, you might see any of the following: Huge cookies, gooey butter cake, toffee blondies, ice cream sandwiches, and much more! SPECIALS On their website, you’ll find their regular menu and a monthly calendar of weekly and daily specials. Each week, they have: –A special salad (e.g., Asian Chicken Spinach, Smoked Trout Nicoise) Each day of the month, they offer: –A chili (Rotating beef, chicken, or fajita) –A soup of the day (e.g., Andouille Lentil, Tortilla, Split Pea, Corn Chowder) –A special sandwich or wrap (e.g., Burger, Pork Apple Panini, Sloppy Joe) –A blue-plate special (e.g., Chicken Pot Pie, Tamales, Jambalaya) THEFOOD I haven’t had any of their specials, but I’ve had the Cuban Panini and Cobb Salad. Both were good, and I was able to customize them a bit. However, I’ve recently fallen in love with their French toast. French toast is something I did not have when I was a kid. My mom has an aversion to eggs, and consequently did not fancy the idea of dipping bread in an egg mixture, browning it, and then topping it with syrup.(Honestly, when you describe it like that, it does sound a little gross. «Do you know what this bread needs? Syrup, that’s what!») I did not have French toast until I was an adult. An ex-boyfriend made it. He was kind of an a-hole. Maybe that’s not fair. He was a total a-hole. Anyway, he made it with regular white bread. It was okay, but much like the person who made it, it did not exactly leave me wanting more. Then I tasted the French toast at Maggie’s and entered a relationship that was meant to be. I went back the next day for my very own serving. Keep in mind that this was only the second serving of French toast I’d had in my 32 years of existence, but I loved it. It’s made with four slices of French bread that are slightly crispy on the outside with a soft custard-like interior. You’ll get a choice of meat with your French toast. I selected bacon and received four slices. My husband has had his with sausage, and he was served two sausage patties. At $ 6.04, this is my new best friend. I’d go back for more tomorrow, but they’re closed on the weekends. :( RATING Apart from the French toast, the regular menu doesn’t do much for me. I’d love to try some of their specials, but so far, the schedule hasn’t worked out for me. I’m looking forward to many more future visits. On one of those visits, I hope to have room to finally try their desserts! If the specials and desserts are as good as everyone says, I’ll probably find myself bumping my rating to five stars. :)

Just another update here, no big deal. The fried chicken club is sooo good. I’m seriously amazed by Maggie’s every time I try something new. You can choose between regular and fried, I highly recommend trying out fried(assuming you like fried chicken). It’s a monster of a sandwich with amazing bacon, mayo, and thick cut tomatoes. The real substance comes in that massive piece of chicken in the middle and it’s amazing. Oh yeah, they also have a great reuben and peanut butter ice cream sandwich. Maggie’s always kills it.

Great googalie moogalie!!! I really like Maggie’s! I really like their specials! I liked the chicken pot pie I had today enough to write another 5-star review for the place. Check out the picture I posed to see this wonder of the culinary perfection. They take their pie dough(a work of art itself) and lay it over a molding form of some sort before filling the ensuing cavity with a rich mixture of chicken, vegetables and that goo you always find in a chicken pot pie. They close it up and bake it until it is golden brown and perfectly flaky. They use a good amount of tender, moist chicken breast meat that was nicely seasoned to ensure it isn’t bland. Vegetables that were obviously fresh when added to the mix are in there also. Goo that was more of a gravy than the typical goo and full of fall flavors rounds out the inside components. They offer a regular or Caesar salad on the side. I went with the Caesar and found a pleasant lemony flavor on top of the anchovy and cheese normally present in a proper Caesar dressing. Fresh greens, blah, blah, blah… the real star of the meal was the Chicken Pot Pie!!! Apparently, this gem comes back around on a monthly basis during the winter months. January, February and March appearances of this masterpiece will most definitely be added to my calendar.

I met some friends for lunch. This is such a great place with friendly staff who have so much patience with every order. You order up-front and pay there. They give you a number and bring the food to your table. I got a ham and Swiss sandwich without bread, adding cucumber, pickles, coarse-ground mustard, mayo, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, lettuce and portabella mushrooms. I didn’t want one of the sides. I wanted the creamy mushroom soup. He offered it as a side replacement for a mere additional 50 cents. I did that. Lunch for $ 8.02, including tax. Man, oh man, was this a stupendous lunch. I knife-and-forked the non-sandwich sandwich. It was all fabulous. .. such fresh ingredients. And they put the mayo and the mustard on the side in little containers, so I could use as much or as little as I wanted. The creamy mushroom soup was so good and creamy, a wonderful earthy taste. Served appropriately hot, but not tongue-curdling. EVEN with pickles on my sandwich, I got a fabulous pickle spear on the side. .. I always eat the pickle first, and it was delicious. I appreciate so much that they serve their food respectfully on real plates and you have real tableware to eat your meal. On my way out I got 2 «Mostess» cupcakes and two turtle brownies for the boys for $ 10.76, so they were $ 2.50 each. They were HUGE. I never got to taste either one of them. They were consumed so quickly. I’d say that’s a winner.

All I can say is wow, Maggie where have you been all my life! Just like me you are going to need to do a little bit of work to find Maggie’s, as its not in one of the most high traffic areas. I have to give credit to both Allen C and Kat V for turning me onto this place, if it wasn’t for the two of them talking about a the Chicken & Waffle special last fall I would have never known about Maggie’s, luckily I have been back a number of times since. For those that don’t know Maggie’s is hidden in the midst of an industrial office park in Fenton. Not exactly the place you think of when you quality food. Maggie’s serves up quality sandwiches and other American fare along with desert items like gooey butter cake, Dutch apple pie, English toffee blondes and cupcakes! Breakfast options are also available which leads me to believe that this caters to the local workers. Lunch rush is usually pretty busy with a steady stream of people, I can tell that this place is a favorite with the workers in the area. The daily special usually offer a large variety, however their daily menu is pretty simple. I tend to stick with the Chicken Club Sandwich, which is a large chicken breast served either fried or grilled served on a artisan bun. Overall this is a great sandwich, however the real surprise is the sweet treats. The Gooey Butter cake is great and usually a huge portion, so it’s perfect to cut in half and save for later.

«Business Park Oasis» Driving up I felt like I was picking up equipment. Once inside, the place is actually pretty nice. Service– I got in line, order my food, filled my cup then sat down. The food was actually delivered to me at the table on real plates with silverware. I got my own refills. Unsweet tea– well made & needed no sugar/sweetener Salad– The special salad of the day was grilled chicken, strawberries & caramelized walnuts on mixed greens with poppyseed dressing & a sliver of toast. The strawberries were fresh, full of flavor, sliced & seemed hand picked without imperfections. The rest of the salad was great, but the chicken was just OK. The chicken reminded me of canned or boiled & not grilled. Desert– I got a chocolate pudding type filling on top of crust dessert that IDK the name. It was interestingly different. I thought of it as a browny mix pudding pie…(?) Too rich for me & took my 3 attempts to eat just a little square. Next time I need to try a cookie like many others.

Advice to people who surf Unilocal for restaurants but don’t contribute… do not eat here without getting a chocolate chip cookie!!! I was at three stars, but then I remembered this cookie and just had to bump them up. Yes, it was THATGOOD. Otherwise, I had a veggie sandwich. Generous with the veggies and lots of avocado(YUM!), but I didn’t like the bread so I only ate half of it. Potato salad was creamy with lots of dill. Also, the service was very friendly, patient, and helpful for us newbies. I think maybe I ordered poorly because everyone else raved. Not a problem, because I will be back for another cookie. Oh, the cookies are $ 1 including tax so they are delicious and a bargain. Mmm…cookie
