Went there this weekend with my fiancée and tried the dinner combination plate that came with rice, crab rangoon and an egg roll. I ordered orange chicken and it was by far the worst carry out Chinese I’ve ever had. The chicken tasted like it was tossed in orange zest scented Pine Sol. Mushy too, not crispy like it had been freshly made. The rice was very dry and had no flavor. I was also very disappointed with the«crab meat» rangoon. All it had in it was cream cheese. The egg roll would have been very good, but it tasted like it was taken out of the microwave, and was very chewy. My fiancée ordered the same thing(combination plate) but ordered tangy chicken(generals). I have to say it had better flavor, but the chicken was the same, mushy and disappointing. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant unless you feel like wasting your time and your money.

Typical chinamen food. Soggy breaded«chicken» soaked in sauce. Why do we always go back for the same crap? Egg rolls are basically deep fried shredded cabbage with little flavor. The almond cookies were good but obviously mass produced maybe that’s why they were good. Typical filthy Chinese place with empty boxes stacked up and random stereotypical décor.

My experience there was awful! We ordered carry out for the family and while eating our dinner I chewed a washer. Yes, a washer. I spit it out and could not believe what just happened. Be careful if you eat there. Rude staff when complained.

Worst food ever! Ordered delivery for dinner and got dog food. When you order Chinese after being on the road for 7 hours your thinking it’s the safe enjoyable bet. Not true in this case. We hadn’t ate in ten hours and after two bites we flipped the lid down on the styrofoam containers and tried not to think about the 30 bucks we just shelled out. I want to go into detail and talk item to item but it truly isn’t worth the time. I’ll make it simple and say… DON’T EATHERE!!! A more detailed review would only benefit a establishment that actually tried. I had to give it one star to post the review. I didn’t know that until I tried posting it with zero stars.

I was not planning on going back but thought I would give them 1 more chance. I had gotten an email from the owner, Vivian Jiang, saying she would replace my order for free. I called to place the order and she refused. She said she would give me a small percentage off because my order was fine and because I left a negative review on Unilocal about her. I have the email still where she promised to replace my order. I was willing to give her restaurant 1 more chance despite how truly awful the previous experience was as well as other bad experiences there and this is how she wants to act? To offer a customer a replacement order, who was willing to give your establishment 1 more shot and then renege is just not right. My husband almost swallowing a staple they left in the food was a serious health hazard and caused my husband pain. My advice is to just not go there.

This place has really good Chinese food. So why the three stars? Well, every time I order food for pick up they never have it ready. If the say 10 minutes, I always wait 30 minutes and its still not ready. If you order it there, either for carry-out or dine-in, your food will be out quickly. If they make their wait time more accurate, I would increase their stars.

Yum! We’ve been here several times… everything I’ve tried has been delicious — pad thai, spring rolls, lo mein, fried rice, etc. — chicken is the best meat there.

As this is Fenton we don’t have a ton of options, however, Ho Wun serves up a pretty decent Chinese food. Last order the employee who took the order spoke great English and was very pleasant. We typically like chicken with no breading and add/substitute certain vegetables. Each time Ho Wun was very flexible in changing up the ingredients. For whatever reason they still don’t get the sauce requirements right like only 2 soy and 8 sweet/sour; I just don’t want them to waste what they send in the bag. New ownership but it appears the same recipes. My favorites: Hunan Chicken(always non breaded for all chicken dishes) replace mushrooms with broccoli and Orange Chicken add broccoli. Pan fried chicken pot stickers are great. With coupon, tax, delivery about $ 26, the $ 3 goes mainly to driver so don’t overtip. I would recommend this restaurant especially for delivery, prompt service, hot food. Try them out. Coupons are online to print but they never ask for them. $ 14.99 for two entrees with two 32 oz drinks. Great value, definitely give them a chance.

I go here a couple of times, then I forget about it for awhile and come back again many months later. It never is really memorable or outstanding Chinese food. Last night I was picking up a prescription right by there and thought I would pick up something quick. All I really wanted was some chicken fried rice and my wife wanted chicken and vegetables with brown rice. They only have white steamed rice and fried rice, no brown. The fried rice is okay, but it kind of looks like just stained white rice. There isn’t much flavor and the chicken is a little weird. It tasted better the next day left over though. My current or past experiences have never been bad, but nothing that makes me crave it either. My one interesting observation about this place is that the dining room has some style. This is one Chinese restaurant I don’t mind dining in, although it is very small. It doesn’t have the same décor as all the other Chinese take outs that purchase their accessories at the Walmart of Chinese restaurant supply. It is a more tasteful eastern décor with dim lighting. I can’t say I recommend this place, but I certainly have had much worse experiences at other Chinese restaurants.

i stopped here about 8pm after seeing Titanic 3D. I have been here several times over the past couple years. the food is made to order, so it is always hot! i work in a service industry so i was trying to eat a fast so that i could be done by the time they closed at 8:30p. i felt for the girl behind the counter who got a very familiar look on her face when 3 people walked in at 8:27p. i ordered the shrimp and vegetable rice dinner. i know the counter girl probably thought i was strange because i was picking out the water chestnuts and celery. the spring rolls were a large. they tasted good with the peanut sauce. i wish i lived closer because they deliver. i will be back.

Not good. The beef was so salty you couldn’t eat it, the rice wasn’t cooked all the way, the chicken was really tough and hard to chew, the crab rangoon was awful, and they forgot half of our order. Definitely wont be back.

I have to say, I find the online ordering really convenient and easy to maneuver. That being said, as many other reviewers pointed out, the service is much better than the food. The girls in front are fast and friendly with your orders. My beef lo mein was pretty greasy, and my small chicken fried rice for Tricia was a really small portion. I guess I should thank them for portion control, but the point of getting Chinese is leftovers, right?

Ok, so today I learned a lesson, NEVER order Chinese food online. I ordered from their website online for pick-up. When I arrived at the location, and before I entered I see this sign on the entry door that reads, «HELPWANTED — CHEF». I gasped, who cooked my food if they don’t currently have a chef? Since I already pre-paid online, I continued in the establishment and walked up to the counter. As I looked around I didn’t see one Chinese person working there(that is almost always a bad sign in a Chinese restaurant) — just a bunch of white people working(and in the kitchen(when they opened the door) — more white people! The girl at the counter was super friendly and promptly gave me my order. I thanked her and slowly accepted the bag from her, dreading what awaited me inside. When I arrived home, I said a prayer and cautiously opened the bag. Inside the bag was a non-biodegradable, bad for the environment, styrofoam container that contained my entrée. I ordered the Triple Harvest and from all initial appearances it looked okay(especially considering the fact that this was made by white people and not a real Chinese person. One thing that stood out was the lo mein noodles. It was dauntingly obvious that these were not lo mein noodles but more so spaghetti noodles. The dish had an excessive amount of broccoli and not as much meat as I had expected. The sauces were bland and tasteless — similar to that of the Chinese you can purchase from your grocer’s freezer. But being a guy, I can stomach most anything — especially when I am famished. The crab rangoon was also quite disappointing, I’ve had better crab rangoon from the grocer’s freezer — and that crab rangoon from the grocer’s freezer was a terrifying experience in and of itself. The egg roll was probably the best thing out of the entire dish, but I inhaled it because, as I previously mentioned I was famished — so I don’t really know if it was that great or not in particular — it was just the first thing I was able to shove down my throat. All in all, the service was friendly, but I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless your taste buds are shot or you are a guy and you haven’t eaten anything in weeks.

Chinese name, Chinese dishes(and then some), but would you call this a Chinese restaurant? The food is below mediocre, but as one Unilocaler had mentioned, their service is excellent. The worker in the front is amazing — she’s super friendly and super efficient. I was craving some egg drop soup, and I could have made some better straight out of a package by adding water and an egg. I really want to like this place because they offer catering, some good selections of combo plates, and the location is very convenient for me. However, I don’t think I’d come back unless I’m too lazy to drive out to Grand or Olive. BUT, «A» for effort!

Among the worst Chinese I’ve had. The chicken was stringy and low quality, the crab rangoon were the worst of the bland frozen sort. I’ve had better from Panda Express.

I admire a place that seems to be able to have different things they can offer you that isn’t what you can normally get at any olé chinese restaurant. I adore the fact they have chinese, thai, and curry here as well. It’s refreshing to have different choices when your not feeling like having the run of the mill chinese. I do have to say that i love, love, love their orange chicken and their curry. Simply delicious! I also have to give mad props to the staff there. Not only are they etremely helpful every time i go in to get something, but they are knowledgeable as well!

All I can say is bad food, but great service. They have a really good selection of tea. The fried rice had way tooo much soy sauce for my liking. Were they trying to say Thai-Satay instead of Thai-Stada? Typical Chinese restaurant. Wei Hong on Grand is sooo much better than this place!
