Taco bell makes better food and for a Mexican restaurant the margaritas are terrible, stick to draft beer.

I don’t know how they can make the food so tasteless. I’ve had tastier burritos out of a 7 – 11 microwave. The salsa had a little heat, but no flavor, the chips were overcooked, the meat in my burrito had almost zero flavor(did you boil it?!), the rice was bland… I left most of my burrito and my daughter left most of her nachos. If you’re going here for a show, eat at the taqueria across the street first. If you’re going here for the food… eat at the taqueria across the street.

MUSICVENUEREVIEW. Paid $ 15 for a show, stayed less than an hour, waste of money. It was a «sitdown» show and we cannot stomach the food, so everywhere we stood people kept poking us in the back to get out of the way. If this is the case then DON’T SELLANYMORETICKETSIFIT’S STANDINGROOMONLY! Horrible experience will not be back, however much I like the venue and it’s acoustics. Not worth the horrible experience, especially for just a cover band.

For a fun, funky & intimate venue close to home this place is great. For food and good customer service, not so great.

Friendly staff, great drinks, decent food. This place would be ok for a small or large group. Haven’t been around for the music.

Nice place, but worst burrito I’ve ever tasted. It arrived swimming in some kind of runny sauce, and had no flavor inside. Will never come here for the food. Music is great, though.

Everyone has opinions, but some things are good for some things. As a 20+ year Don Quixote customer, I’ve seen a few phases of this Felton mainstay. The beautiful wooden-vaulted interior, sophisticated bar, and spacious layout remains constant. It’s a destination for great live shows from what I hear/see. But the good thing for me at Don Quixote’s at this point in time are the beers, guac, NBA, and relative calm. It’s a treasure I’ll return to until I can’t probably.

This restaurant is specifically made for people with no taste buds. My sister makes better left overs. I had the Prawns Veracruz, on a scale of 1 – 10,I would give this place a –0 the beer was good, the waitress wuz cute.

I have eaten here 3 times, the first time I had a lot of hope, but my dreams of a good local Mexican place were quickly shattered with the sub par carne asada plate. The second time I just wanted to give it another chance(had the nachos, it was unrecognizable), the third time I was dragged kicking and screaming but I had to take one for the team. I ordered the carnitas tacos, and even with my extremely low expectations I was disappointed. The taco shells were stale and the meat was tough, flavorless and tasted like left over pot roast. It’s $ 38 and an hour of my life I will never get back but my extremely hot date has since learned to trust me so it wasn’t all a loss.

I love this place as a music venue much more than I like the food or the bar. If their food was as awesome as their promoter then this place would be 4 stars. The bar gets pretty packed during shows and the drinks are hit or miss. It’s best to stick with a beer or a shot as you know what you are getting. My wife’s mixed drinks were weak and the bartender didn’t want to hear it… She put an extra single drop into the drink after our complaint and made a point to give us the death look and ignore us for the rest of the night(–1 star). The other bartender was much nicer anyways… The restaurant has your standard Mexican fair with some of my favorites being the carne asada enchiladas and the albondigas soup. The soup is really hearty with chunks of veggies and flavourful meatballs. You get a bowl of chips and salsa with your meal and the table service is usually pretty good. If your a live music lover like I am then take a peek at their website from time to time and your sure to find an act you’ll want to see. It’s a small place so you are always close to the stage and the sound is really good. Check em out!

We had dinner there last night and saw a Elvin Bishop Music Concert. The food was better than we expected, it was very tasty and the portions were a good size. We like this place and that’s why we give it a 5 star rating.

If there was a way to give 0 stars I would. Food is mediocre but the service is absolutely horrendous. How long does it take to cook up two appetizers? 45 minutes? Yikes. Stay away. Better yet do yourself a favor and go across the street to The Cremer House. Food and atmosphere light years ahead of this dump.

Blech! Taco Bell does Mexican Food better. We thought we would give them a chance thinking«it can’t be that bad, they are still in business». This after discovering someplace with awesome food like the Trout Farm Inn has folded again. SO disappointed and literally sick from the experience. Taco Bell seriously has higher quality«meat» and does about the same number on my digestive tract. Do NOT eat here.

As 25-year locals, we’ve come to Don Quixote’s many times over the decades. When our daughter was young and the place was under other ownership we’d stop in for dinner a lot. Today, after a crazy weekday at work, we wanted to go out to dinner and, on a nostalgic whim, decided to eat here, after realizing we hadn’t had a sit-down meal here in 5 – 10 years.(We have come more recently for concerts.) Unfortunately, just like my wife and I, this place is now creaky and run down. With just 2 tables going in the big space the night we were there, they are obviously surviving on the music and booze trade — though, I suspect, just. I had a beer, but the wife’s «margarita» was a horrible, too-sweet glass of mix. Where is Jon Taffer when you need him? Food was the usual mediocre pseudo-Mexican fare. Good portions and, in the main, not terrible, BUT generally dry and under-seasoned. The worst sin was that the frying oil was completely rancid and that imparted a nasty taste to the chips and anything else that was deep fried(taco shells). This means kitchen cleanliness is not up to any kind of standard and I’m glad I didn’t take a look in there. Service was friendly enough, but scattered and inattentive. Ticket time was WAY too long, like 20 – 25 minutes — again, in an almost empty restaurant. Poor old Don Quixote. Hard to run a Mexican restaurant with a taqueria across the street serving much better food in a brighter facility and cranking orders out in 5 minutes or less. Since Don Quixote has a full bar, that would be a great competitive differentiator, but then they go and serve a lousy drink. So, I’m afraid this place has the stench of failure about it. It needs investment and a makeover. They should put out calls to Bar Rescue and Restaurant Impossible. Sad to see it like this and sad to think they(apparently) only see themselves as just a «quirky» roadhouse/nightclub and boozer for the locals, when, with a little vision, leadership, and cash, they could be so much more — or at least crawl back to being the good-value family restaurant they were 10 – 15 years ago. It will be a long time before we return again.

Clearly a business that is unaware that people post reviews online and that some people read them and base their decision to patronize an establishment on those reviews. Some of the worst service I’ve seen. A dog sat in the restaurant in the lap of a customer near me, and the bartender was seemingly annoyed that we were there and ordered. After her disregard to our existence, she commented that the dog was her favorite customer of the day. The owner(?), shuffled around and also seemed annoyed that we were there and in need of food. Perhaps a place that caters to locals and does not need outside customers? Avoid.

I went there after a hike on a Sunday around 1:30pm. I was starving yet on a restricted diet. They were very accommodating. I ordered Fish Tacos a house special for $ 17. Portion was huge with 3 fish tacos on flour tortillas instead of corn(interesting) rice and beans. but Darn, the fish was HORRIBLE, not fresh, over cooked, nasty. I removed the fish from most of the tacos and it was some what editable, avocado and cabbage yummy, good salsa. This isn’t the first time I’ve eaten there. It’s a decent venue for music and dance. I’ve been to some shows there. What a shame the food is terrible.

This place refuses to accommodate Disabled people! A terrible horrible ADA Discriminating place! Just drove 1.5hrs to be refused an ADA seating accommodation pre-requested via their reservation website. Worthless Gimp hating management blew me off and told me it was«Standing Room Only». Way to go Mr Sensitivity, thanks!

Yikes. Stopped in here after a visit to Henry Cowell. Food was pretty dreadful, bland, watery and lacking any seasoning. Tea tastes like butt. Sold out of many things. Server seemed to be on the first day of her job — couldn’t answer any questions about anything. If you’re looking for a quick bite, keep moving. Bleck.

I came here for a folk band and another day for a friends band. Both times(PLUSALLTHEOTHERTIMES I WASHERE) I was here I had a wonderful time. I love supporting local music and local business’s. I had only water and juice the last 2 times due to my diet, but previously enjoyed the food. I ask for what I want and always get exactly that. However, my dinner date ordered a few things and was quite thrilled with the portions and quality. I was loving the atmosphere and enjoyed the wood and decorations. Its a place with character.

Decent venue for live music. The restaurant and the entertainment room was slightly separated. The dance floor was pretty big. Good space for holding a live band performance. There was two bars, one was completely dead, and the other was up and running. The food was not that great. Granted, I only had their chicken wings. They were overly cooked and looked burned. Extremely crunchy though. Haha. Good thing was that you get free chips and salsa! Score! Service was great too. I wouldn’t mind coming back for the live music, I don’t know so much about the food.
