Hurray! Our Own Specialist in Birds and Exotics(snakes, turtles, etc.) Incidentally, she is a «regular» dog and cat doctor also! I do not have the time to write as much as I would like, but I am compelled to give great kudos to this most caring competent doctor. Dr. Calvert is friendly, informative, caring, and excellent at getting to the bottom of whatever problem your pet may be experiencing. She takes her time as she is with you and your pet, and never ever makes you feel rushed. She has a way with all animals; both my dogs and birds react so favorably to her! The way she takes my parrots in her hands, with such tenderness and agility, makes me feel that nothing can ever happen to them as long as they are in her care. A superb practitioner. SIX stars! [Parrots are NOT entartainment animals to be ignored until they die. They need checkups, also and famously hide illness until the drop. A diet of seeds, which so many pet stores happily provide parrot buyers is a VERYBAD diet for the caged ones. Too high in fat, too low in nutrients. Caged birds should be eating especially formulated pellets which are replete in the proper nutrients needed by our little winged ones. Pellets are available at almost every pet feed store, or can easily be ordered. ]
