Easily the best burrito in the city. So flavorful and delicious. I will become back again.

This is a mildly beat up fast food joint with a fairly extensive menu of Mexican stuff. Lacking the nerve to go for menudo, I’m trying the pork tamales. Food’s pretty cheap, though they do hit you 2 bucks for an order of chips. They were a little cold and stale, but the various dipping sauces and pico de gallos available are tasty, some quite hot. They have chilled radish slices, which I’ve never seen but find real refreshing. Food appears to be made to order, but then it’s 5pm on a Saturday. I’m hitting that hot salsa pretty hard, and the sweat’s starting to pour forth. Noms. Plate comes and it’s huge for 6.50. Two tamales, rice, refritos and a hilarious lil pile of shredded lettuce with sour cream on it in the center. The tamales are fine — nice moist corn surrounding succulent shredded pork in the center. Tomato sauce with a ton of onion atop it. Not drowning in cheese, either. The rice and beans are very good as well. The lettuce is just sad. Overall, a satisfying and tasty meal. This is now my go-to joint for cheap Mexican eats in the neighborhood. Now I need a bunch of napkins and a nap. UPDATE: the Pozole is excellent, spicy and filling. Also the menudo, which is more challenging but very wonderful.

The worst meal. Ordered the steak fajitas and looked great covered in sauce but every bite was pure rubbery gristle. i though the refried beans were finda funny looking being like a greyish color. They were super watered down and tasted so horrible, like something you might expect from prison. I feel bad because a friend recommended this place and the other reviews were so good. I had no problem with the rundown dirty look of the place since some of the best food comes from dives. Speaking of that it’s easy to see the kitchen when ordering and I don’t know how they ever pass a food inspection. Black smears on the walls and grease everywhere. I hope it was just an off night for that place but either way you couldn’t pay me to go back!

Fantastic food, super nice customer service with an authentic feel. May not look like much, but do yourself a favor and check it out! The Menudo is amazing if you’re into that kind of thing.

Never in your life order a burrito. I say no cheese and they don’t put it on top but inside. Say beef they give you chicken. Tacos are good but burritos are horrible.

When I first came here, the service wasn’t good, but it was okay. She took the order and the food was good! The second time we went to the drive thru. It was a different woman and she took my order. She came back with completely the wrong order. I went inside to rectify the order and all she said was, «That’s what you say!» That was when I saw my order receipt, she gave it to me after I said what my order should have been. It was all wrong. I ordered the right items because I had to feed my family and paid more for it. She was busy speaking Spanish complaining, unknowingly to her, I know Spanish. I left with my food and said gracias with good pronunciation to show her that I knew what she was saying. I am not coming here again. They only are nice to people who look Mexican or Latino. I’m Asian and not a smile came out of that rude woman’s face.

4 stars for the food, 0 for the service. This is my third time eating here, and all 3 times the food has been good, but the service is just crap. I first got there and the lady was on the phone while customers were lined up waiting to order. She was just texting and wouldn’t even look up. She took phone calls at least four times during my 40 minute wait on a bowl of soup and four tacos. The drive through had about 8 cars go through and everybody that ordered after me got their food looooong before me. I wonder if it’s because I didn’t tip? But cmon, you tip for good service. Not for sub par service where I have to wait for you to finish your phone conversation. So she hands me my tray of food and I politely told her that it was supposed to be to go. In her attempts to prove me wrong, she goes through the receipts to I guess double check that I did in fact say to go or to check if I was just being a pain in the ass. So she sets my food aside and then takes care of two customers who walked in and then two cars at the drive through window. By the time I finally got my food, my corn tortillas were hard as a rock from sitting there. It LITERALLY took 45 minutes to get my food. I am shocked because it doesn’t even take that long at a sit down restaurant! I understand that it was busy inside the restaurant, but maybe if she got off her phone for five minutes she could get a few things accomplished. There’s a reason that this place is called number 2. Because that’s what you’ll get. Crap service!

On my visit I ordered the spicy pork nachos and the Carne Asada. Portions were massive, especially for the nachos. They gave me a whole avocado. The two entrees could have fed 3 easily. My meat was comparatively dry compared to other Mexican restaurants. However, I have high standards for Carne Asada and the overall balance of flavors with sauces was a good combination. I was satisfied. Get the nachos.

Run of the mill taqueria. The drive-thru is convenient but I ended up dining inside. The food arrived quickly and I liked the salsa and condiments bar. The burrito was very average and wasn’t filled with a lot of goods. The tacos were also mediocre. The meat seemed good but there wasn’t much cilantro or other toppings. Meh.

Delightful place for Mexican food. Likes: menudo and Pozole soups available! Awesome that they serve lengua(tongue), Cabeza(beef cheeks), and el pastor(spicy pork) as included other options for your tacos! Restaurant is cafeteria style. You order, staff delivers your meal, then you deposit your tray and dish at the rightful area when finished. We ordered the 5 tacos and drink for $ 6.99 deal with a order of the carne Asada dish. My tacos were lengua and my husband had the carnitas(fried pork). The salsa bar was filled to the brim with all types of sauces, vegetables(picked carrots being one type), and pico de gallos. I was pleased with their drink selections, and their horchata is the best«fast food» type I have had in a while. It’s pretty cool to know that they also have drive through available on their side window.

This restaurant is small but they do have a drive thru. The menu has a good selection with pictures included. The gal behind the counter was very nice. The food came out quickly. They have a condiment bar with a variety of salsas, radishes, limes, etc. We ordered chicken tacos; the corn tortillas were soft and fresh but the meat was dry and salty. We also tried the tamale plate(beef and chicken), the chicken was bland but the beef was flavorful; rice and beans were just average. We may come back to try some of their other items.

Oh, why were the tacos so dry and over-salted? Their bus location in Puyallup has been my «taco craving» favorite for years, especially with the $ 5.99 five taco and drink special. But their tacos were fresh, moist, and seasoned enough to welcome the awesome green sauce. I can try this spot again, but I don’t know if I was just unlucky on that visit. :/

I’ve only tried their burritos, but they are worth a 4-star rating! The chicken was tender, well-flavored, and went well with their delicious beans. The tortilla was so-so. I appreciated the fact that they had a salsa bar, even though it didn’t have too much to offer. Service was nice and fast, too. When considering whether to go here or Chiptole, which is across the street, for a burrito, the answer is a no-brainer. Come here! Not only are the burritos cheaper, in my opinion, they taste better.

Worst Mexican food I’ve ever had! I’d rather eat Taco Bell next time. First red flag was the burger special advertised in the window. Why does a Mexican place serve burgers at all? The menu is JUSTPICTURESANDNUMBERS with a short title! I had to ask what the prices were for EVERYTHING I was interested in! Then the girl who was taking my order let her son answer her ringing cell phone and interrupt me while I was placing my order. Second red flag — When my food came out I was brought a real metal butter knife and a PLASTIC fork. Meanwhile I see other customers eating with real forks. When I asked for something better than a flimsy plastic fork she said it would be a couple of minutes so she could wash one — at least be consistent… don’t give me a real knife and a plastic fork! And finally to the food… My kids only took a couple of bites of their chicken quesadilla before they told me they just didn’t like it. So I tried it and the chicken was dry and flour tortilla was rubbery and tough. My carne asada burrito was JUST carne asada in another rubbery, tough tortilla — no veggies or cheese of any kind, just greasy meat. There was a dollop of sour cream on top with 3 little shreds of lettuce. The beans and rice were a sloppy and tasteless joke, another thing my kids wouldn’t touch!
