Hitching Post Saloon

Love this place, I have been here about 6 times in the last 16 years. Each time I come in the the service is great and the drinks are on point. I love this kind of bar. They make you feel comfortable being yourself. You dont have to put up with any of that college frat boy shit in this place. Just good folks telling jokes, kicking back and relaxing after a hard days work. I wanted to play a game of pool last week and took my friend there for his first time. It had been a few years since I had gone in so I was glad to see it still had that biker bar feel to it. I like the low light, loud music, and loud people laughing loudly atmosphere. I will continue to stop by have a drink and play pool whenever I get the urge to sit and have a drink in comfort amongst friendly folks. Thanks Hitching Post! Keep up the good work.

I just decided to check this place out tonight, and I enjoyed myself. Friendly, diverse clientele, decent selection of beers on tap, Saturday night karaōke, yeah, it’s a dive but it’s most of what you want in a dive. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that it’s understaffed; the bartenders were working their asses off but there were only two of them, and that wasn’t enough, especially given the admin required by the damn pull tabs, which seriously got on the way of serving drinks, which should be the primary focus of a bar, right? So not perfect, but I blame the management, not the staff.

Kareoke sound is great! Alright all white! The host is great. One of the best dive bars n the Wood!

I loved this place while I lived in Federal Way. Just moved to Dallas, sad I can’t hit up the post on my way home from work anymore.
The pros:
* The drinks are cheap, beer is cheap, mixed drinks (when I ordered them) were done well.
* Bartenders are awesome, always on point, remember what you order, friendly, look out for you
* The regulars are friendly and a few ridiculous ones for entertainment
* I had a little crush on Shiloh, gotta admit
The cons:
* No yuppies. For you yuppies, sorry, going to need another bar. Yuppies suck. This is a pro.
* The karaōke is awful. Which is great. I love bad karaōke. There is no such thing as good karaōke, just loud karaōke. I want them to be drunk and wailing. So this is actually a pro.
* Only one toilet in each bathroom, so you may want to eat more fiber or wear a diaper. Either that or wait a minute with your drink until it’s open.

I simply won’t be back

Doug Stanhope is banned from this place and sounds hurt about it. Doesn’t seem right.

Screw these other guys. I love the hitching post. If you’re stuck up, yeah don’t come here it’s a dive bar. It’s a blast, the environment is great, the people are friendly. Shiloh, Holly and Steve serve very strong and tasty drinks. Karaōke is amazing fun and it’s the BEST place to go for a Seahawks game.

Where do I start… It stinks, some of the bartenders are rude and have an attitude, the cook sweats, and is preparing food at the same time, gross!

Oh my! Where to begin. This place needs help. The waitstaff is ok. And the bar is perfect for people who are either: underage, a massive alcoholic, or in need of scoring drugs. The tables are so close together that it is hard to walk around. There is only one ladies restroom, with one toilet, and holes in the walls… what are those for?
I am use to dive bars… and this one takes the cake. Don’t waste your time there are other places nearby that have good food, beer and karaōke… and you won’t feel nasty dirty when you leave.

I am a local. I enjoy a good dive bar. This is about as low as you can go.
I’ve been to The Hitching Post three times. The only good thing I can say about it is… wait… I forgot.
The staff is slow at best… completely negligent most of the time. The food is nothing to write home about. The tables and chairs all wobble so much you end up sloshing about half of your drinks before you have a chance to consume them. There is one ladies room… with ONE toilet… for the entire bar. Yeah. Not nearly adequate. The only reason I’ve been there more than once is because friends have insisted on meeting there and it’s close to my house. Given the choice, there are MUCH better bars in the area.
Yes they have karaōke, but so do most of the other bars in the same area. That’s not enough to save this place in my opinion.

Man this place is a dive and they do it well.
Here’s the lowdown:
Parking is a gravel lot and it’s always full. People drive crazy in and out of it so I would park any car you value the paint job of across the street.
The drinks are a good price and you can get anything you want without much of a wait.
Bar and kitchen area are sloppy and dirty looking. The only food I’ve ordered was fries and they were alright and served fast.
They do karaōke which is drunken debauchery at it’s best.
The bathrooms are usually clean.
The best part for my group is that there is an outdoor area with lots of tables that enables you to talk, eat, drink and have the smokers do their thing at the same time.
It’s not classy, it’s loud, and it’s usually a pretty good time.
