Service was ok. I was expecting the cajun items to be cajun. The Cajun fried rice was good but medium spicy was not enough to have a kick. I didn’t particularly like the pork. Maybe I miss read it but it was more on the sweet side. I give them effort on mixing phở and cajun flavor. Maybe revamp the cajun flavors a bit.

They were out of the 3 things I ordered. Gizzards? Out! Soft shell crab po’ boy? Seattle location only! Yet it’s on the menu?! Crawfish — something they’re known for — also out! Seriously? Striking out 3 out of 3 items is not a good start. Lucky for them my family was here and was ok with settling for other items otherwise I would’ve walked out of here. Crazy disappointing…

I’ve been here twice now. The first time was before I started Unilocaling, and that was awhile ago. On the first trip, I ordered the cajun phở that comes with crawfish and sausage. I wasn’t too impressed. Since it had been awhile, I figured I’d try it again. After reading some recent reviews, I took the advice of another Unilocaler and ordered a regular phở dish with the cajun spices added. When I asked about doing that, the waitress said it was no problem. Mild, medium, or hot, was the next question. I waffled back and forth on medium or hot for a few seconds and chose hot. Big mistake! I like a little kick with my food, and usually go with medium. I don’t know what possessed me to go with hot. I was pretty excited to try the broth and as soon as I did, I felt the heat/burn almost instantly. Lucky for me I opted for the small bowl. Having to finish a large probably would have left me with no taste buds. I drank all my water and half of my daughter’s water. I also took the clean broth from her bowl of phở and poured about seven spoonfuls into mine with the hopes that it would neutralize some of the spice. Toward the end I even threw in some ice cubes. My nose was running. My tongue was on fire. My forehead was sweating. Don’t get the spicy unless you like it when you can’t appreciate the natural flavors of your food. Spiciness aside, the brisket was tasty and had a nice consistency to it. It was tender and came apart pretty easily. The noodles weren’t very good though. They seemed to be overcooked as they were a little too flimsy and soft. The service was ok. Our requests were fulfilled quickly but overall, it’s about what you would expect from a phở restaurant.

I was super pumped about checking this place out. The only Cajun food I’ve ever had has been Popeye’s. I’ve been checking out the Unilocal photo section for a bit thinking of what to get. So many choices but I settled for the seafood phở. It was OK. On to why this place gets one star and why I won’t ever go back despite wanting to check out more of the menu. The customer service was legit the worst ever. 2 employees behind the counter. One took my order. The other was in the back cooking. The one who took my order and seated me was alright. Put off that vibe that she had somewhere more important to be. That’s cool. It’s Monday, rainy and cold out. You get a C for your effort. At some point, they switched places. And that’s when things went down hill. I got my food, said thank you and got a mumble back. Whatever. It’s not your day either. I noticed that she carried that same attitude to every table. Granted only 3 tables were occupied. But the table right next to me was nothing but polite. 4 different meals brought out individually. Each time someone over there said«thank you» for their meal. Mumbles or a yep was their response. Besides the attitude, I can usually kill 2 ½ glasses of soda with my phở. After I finished my first, never was I asked if I’d like a refill. I don’t care free refills aren’t a thing here, at least f’n offer to refill it. The cherry on top… None of this actually registered till I left so I was still contemplating a tip amount in my head despite receiving the absolute bare minimum service… When I went to the counter to pay, she prints the receipt and tosses it on the counter. Then tosses the pen. That’s when I said«f it. I’m out.» I’ll stick with Popeye’s next time I’m in the mood for anything Cajun. Pros That experience is over with Cons Eh phở Shit service

Leave it to Crazy Phở Cajun to make my Austin dreams come true. Over the summer, I scoured out a restaurant in Austin that serves phở with FILETMIGNON. Yup, you read that right. FILETMIGNON. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and my tummy could only fit so much food so I had to let this one bookmark slide… But I vowed to return to Austin some day, just to try it. Well thanks to Crazy Phở Cajun, I don’t need to hop on a plane to head down south. For the first time ever, I saw the entrée again but I was surprised to find it in Federal Way. What also drew me in was that the restaurant does a fusion of Vietnamese and Cajun style cooking. With the adventurous taste buds of mine, I knew I had to swing in to give this place a shot. I ended up sharing the Filet Mignon Phở and Cajun Bun with my mister. Portions are fairly big for what you pay, I ended up doggy bagging some of the bun. I had doubts about the Filet Mignon Phở at first, the appearance of the meat looks exactly like the regular beef they usually serve in phở tai but this was a case of do not judge a book by its cover. I knew from the first bite it was legitimately filet mignon folks. The meat was so tender and soft, just like steak. The only flaw in this dish was the noodles, it was bit choppy and they stuck together a bit. It didn’t seem like a fresh batch? The Cajun Bun was refreshing and was mixed well with a savory sauce and generous chunks of seafood. I found the crayfish mix to be a bit briny for me. In the end I preferred the phở over the bun just because it was a hot soup kind of day: think cold, foggy and brisk Pacific North West nights in Seattle. This place is worth checking out if you wanna switch it up from the usual phở tai. It’s also a decent option for all you cajun lovers out there. It’s not as good as the food in NOLA but it’s still an option nonetheless. Fun fact: The birth of Crazy Cajun Phở happened between the owner(Anthony Nguyen) and his girlfriend(Thao Tran), Nguyen handles the Vietnamese dishes(His mom and aunt opened the first Phở Bac in Seattle.) Tran is a Louisiana native who handles the cajun dishes.

Crazy Cajun Phở’s meek attempt at blending Vietnamese & Cajun cuisine gets an «D+» in terms of effort. If we lived in a world where participation trophies were given to restaurants with a penchant for mediocre food, Crazy Cajun Phở would be a solid candidate. I ordered the Po Boy sandwich with the Link Sausage and a side of their jalapeño poppers. I was pleasantly surprised that my food was made very fast. However my pleasant feeling was soon tainted by the less than appetizing quality of the food. For starters the hoagie roll on my Po Boy was brittle and somewhat hard(dare I say it was stale?). The Po Boy itself was very dry with very little sauce(I think it had some kind of cheese/mayo blend). The sausage link was also dry and lacked any«juiciness», commonly associated with a quality Po Boy. Overall I was disappointed to say the least with my sandwich. The jalapeño poppers was so-so. I personally think that jalapeño poppers from a local Jack in The Box would fare better than the ones offered at this restaurant. Customer service sucks. Plain and simple. If you want drink refills forget about it. The server only came to my table to take my order and bring me my food. Never once did my server stop to check up on me or offer to fill up my beverage. It is almost comical how Crazy Cajun Phở servers expect to receive some sort of tip for their extremely bland and inattentive services. Next time I want Vietnamese or Cajun food I am going to a restaurant that specializes in one or the other. Not both. Crazy Cajun Phở is a probably the best example of a food fusion gone awry!

My husband and I are a fan of spicy delicacies. We first tried this place when it first opened and have returned at least once a month since then. The restaurant’s ambiance is typical, similar to a lot of phở places. They do serve alcohol for those that prefer to drink while consuming soup and other Vietnamese and Cajun inspired dishes. The fresh rolls are delightful! The rolls consist of a fried wonton wrapper plus the usual ingredients. However, the touch of the crispy wonton i believe adds on to the taste and textures of every single bite! We Always order at minimum 2 lbs of their craw fish. If you are not too keen on spicy seasoning, I highly suggest requesting the sauce to be put on the side. I cannot even begin to describe how mouth watering the craw fish is seasoned. Although keep in mind depending on the season the sizes of the craw fish will vary and cost too.

Cajun seafood bowl was alright. Mostly liquid with some spice holding onto the meat. Service was slow even with only a few tables full. I’d recommend checking out Cajun Crawfish in Seattle if you’re looking for the real deal & fast service.

Interesting concept. Just to be clear, you can get«normal» phở. I was confused about this prior to coming here, wondering if they only had cajun-flavored phở. It is decent… kind of a middle of the road phở place. it has a unique and more diverse menu than other phở places in the area, so i guess there is the novelty of that.

I tried the veggie phở w/veggie broth for the first time. Not a fan of it. It lacked favor. Their Cajun and chicken phở is good.

Most people don’t know how to order here. They automatically just think oh Cajun phở restaurant? So I must get the Cajun crawfish phở. No. This is how you order: Filet mignon phở with Cajun spices. Spicy. Sure, their crawfish phở is also good but to me it’s just not phở. It’s its own dish IMO. Like a crawfish soup or something. Not phở. If you like super peppery soups though I would recommend the crawfish phở. However if you want phở with a kick of Cajun definitely order how I suggested. Their filet mignon melts in Your mouth. So delish. My fruebds and I also often order their fries and ask for Cajun spices on the fries! So flavorful! Their boiled crawfish & shrimp is great too. Pricey but good.

Love their Cajun Phở! Came here w/my co-workers during lunch and the service was super fast. It is different than regular phở, since it contains seafood and we were all seafood lovers, so it was perfect. However, they do have regular options for all you non-seafood lovers! The pot stickers were really good as well. I will definitely be returning for future lunches!

I enjoyed my visit here. Had a tasty sliced beef and vermicelli lunch. The beef was flavorful, the vinegar sauce was tart, and the vegetables were crunchy. The vermicelli itself was dull and tasteless, but that’s a characteristic of the recipe, not a flaw in preparation.(Unless they’re in soup, I’m not a big fan of Vietnamese noodles. Sadly I always forget that until after I’ve ordered and the plate is put in front of me.) Overall it was a fine if not spectacular version of that dish. The price($ 10) is about average for the area. Next time I’ll try a Cajun entrée. Maybe kick it up a star if the gizzards are as good as other reviewers claim.

This place has been bookmarked for quite sometime but FINALLY we were in the area and needed some food so we decided on this place. Let me start off by saying that this place has some really high expectations from all the oohs and aahs I have heard about there food and the reviews seem to back them up, so with the combo of being starving and expecting alot, they had some empty tummies to FILL! Pulling up, the place seemed to be located in an off area, you wouldn’t know they were there just by driving in the location, so with that being said, word of mouth is what makes this place survive and of course the food and service. The menu was very interesting, very Phở like with a Southern twist? See jambalaya, red beans and rice and crawfish, next to phở and spring rolls is very interesting. I decided to go with the Cajun Phở, I mean that’s why I’m here right? The hubby went with the Seafood Phở and our friends went the other route and got the Red beans and rice, Cajun Fried Rice and the appetizer platter. The food was delicious, service was good, though I did ask a few questions and she couldn’t answer it, i.e. does your phở have MSG and she replied that she wasn’t sure? The prices are on the high end, so you are paying for the seafood. I will definately be back to try something else.

Wow!!! Let me say Wow again! Was in Washington for work and it was cold so it was the perfect Phở or soup day. I found this great place through Unilocal and gave it a try. I got there around 2 so I was the only customer. The person that greeted me was very nice and told me to sit anywhere and gave me the menu. I ordered the following: Cajun Wings($ 6) — Yummy!!! Spicy and crunchy. it came with a sauce but the wings did not need any other flavoring. Cajun Crawfish Phở($ 9) — LOVED it!!! I got it spicy so it had a kick where I didn’t put any Siracha or the sliced jalapenos. It had plenty of rice noodles, sausage, crawfish and huge shrimp. I want this place in Southern California!!! Now I need to find reasons to go back to Washington!

Had this place for the first time today. I figured I should try it out since they now have a second location in the international district. Fries are crunchy and fresh. I want to try other fried food varieties they have next time. My husband got the plain phở. Broth is wholesome to me, not watered down like other places. That is my number one gripe about phở. I got the Cajun vermicelli bowl. I don’t regret it but the flavors of the Cajun spices for the shrimp, crawfish, and sausage take over the flavor of the noodle bowl. Luckily those spices are good or I wouldn’t enjoy it. The one server there was extremely attentive and timely. I would return :)

I’m a big phở fan so when i heard that there was a cajun phở place I had to give it a try. I had a large cajun phở spicy. You can choose between medium/large size and mild, medium and spicy levels. The spicyness was good, not burning but not mild enough to ask what happened to the kick. The broth was different in a good way. It tasted more a regular phở broth with some cajun seasoning/spices added to it. Like most phở restaurants, a large bowl does not equate to more noodles but big bowl with more broth. The andouille sausage was plentiful, had about 4 large shrimp and decent amount of peeled/cleaned crawfish. The service is decent for a phở place but the cajun phở is not something that I would crave on a normal basis compared to regular phở. It’s an interesting and different take on phở but not call home worthy.
