I am supremely picky about my hair. After checking reviews, I decided to check Belissimo out. Mark cut my hair, he listened to what complaints I had regarding my previous cuts and what I’d like for him to fix. When he started cutting, I was a bit nervous that he was taking too much off because I saw chunks flying to the floor. He reassured me that he was fixing my «badly uneven» botch job from supercuts and that I wasn’t loosing too much length. I opted not to get a blowout as I was throwing a hat on. Overall, my hair feels a lot healthier, but I now have layers, something I specifically said I didn’t want because I wanted one length. Also, the receptionist quoted me $ 30 for a cut and when I went to pay asked for $ 35. When I inquired about the $ 5 up charge she stated that she quoted me «$ 30−35», which never happened. Reluctantly, I paid the extra $ 5 and tipped another $ 5. I will be looking for another salon for my next haircut.

The experience at this salon has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had scheduled an appointment with Natalie, who came highly recommended, for a wash and style. I scheduled the appointment on 10⁄8 in the morning for today 10⁄9 at 1130am. This morning I called into the salon to ask if the stylist was on time and to add services(gel nails with Ira). I was told I am all set and to show up 10 minutes before hand so that they had time to wash my hair. I showed up at the salon at 1115 on the dot, and just stood there, there was no one sitting at the front desk and everyone seemed too busy to approach me. For about 5 minutes I just stood there, when finally a stylist asked my name and told me to have a seat. At 1135 the receptionist emerged from the back and pointed at me asking my name, she then proceeded to tell Natalie. Natalie approached me and started telling me: first that she did not have a chance to check her schedule and did not know that I was scheduled with her, second her client before me was late and they are just starting to color her hair, third no one informed her I was scheduled, lastly she cannot do my hair, but will have one of the other stylist to do it. Why is it my problem your previous client came in late, and since you have my number why not call me and tell me that my appointment was being pushed to a later time? She then said she could take me later today, but then said she was going to take me tomorrow, and in the end put my name with another stylist. I do not know who the owner is, but if his stylists are anything like him, then I discourage anyone from going there. I cancelled my hair services and scheduled them with Blue Hair Studio, who I know from experience is highly more upscale and professional than the stylists at Salon Belissimo.

Mark, the owner of the salon, is a master at what he does. I love my newly fashioned short haircut and the care that Mark took making sure he understands my request and that I am comfortable making such a drastic change(long feminine tresses to a pixie cut). Though, I have to add, there is never a a dull moment while in his chair :-). The salon itself is small and well streamlined yet, there is a fun vibe to it. I only have good things to say about it!

Best place for hair, nails, feet and wax. Love Mark for amazing haircuts, blow dries and brazilian blow out. Love all the girls that do manicure and pedicure and wax. Most friendly yet very creative people. Strongly recommend

I LOVE Salon Belissimo. I’ve been going there for years. I have thick, curly, long, hair that scares most hairdressers, but not Lidia. She has styled my hair for numerous occasions and I always get complimented on her work. Nice haircuts too! I only wish that I could handle a blowdryer the way she does. If you have long, hard to manage hair, I reccomend Lidia! The place itself is small and you sometimes have to wait a little longer than you’d like but it’s totally worth it.

Turned a walk-in mess of a hair into a beautiful, smooth eye-pleasing sight. I loved the cut(and I am sooooo picky!!) and the way he blow dried my hair was awesome. Mark, you are the bestest I have seen so far. Got one more regular customer on your list. :)

Mark is a good hairdresser. However, when he has young girls as clients, he tries to schedule them on Sunday or Monday when no one is around. Me and 2 of my friends became the victims of sexual harassment on his side. He tried to kiss each one of us in the mouth. We were terrified to find out he did it to many girls, I am sure there are more than just 3 of us. I hope my review would stop him from doing it again. Poor his wife.

This salon offers full hair and nail services. My review is solely for the hair portion and more specifically on the talents of Mark the owner. I started going here a little over a year ago. I decided to chop off my hair which was down to my waist and cut it to above my shoulder. I seemed to be the least traumatized by this. The owner Mark cut my hair and gave me a cute short cut that is low maintenance(because I am lazy and hate blow dryers). Mark is a great hair dresser and he knows it. He comes off a little cocky but after you sit in his chair you understand why. The man knows hair, know what to do with hair, knows how to cut hair, and is not afraid to steer customers in a direction that will look more fabulous that what they had originally chose. So if you are in the far Northeast and need a haircut this is a good place to go.
