4.5 — only thing that would have made it better was a fireplace. We rented the Outback cabin on a special for our post Christmas getaway. Our cabin was Fire Creek, and it was wonderful. It’s a two bedroom(one king, one loft with two twin beds) fully appointed cabin with satellite TV, WiFi, full kitchen, washer and dryer, comfortable living room, hot tub on the porch, and the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in a long time! This bed was set up on a high platform, so climbing in I felt like a child climbing in, my feet did not touch the floor when sitting with legs dangling over the edge, there was about a foot of space between my feet and the floor, and I’m 5’9″. So if you are short, climbing into bed will be a challenge, but so totally worth it. The bathroom has a huge walk in tiled shower with a built in bench, and the stackable washer/dryer pair(new units that were quiet and worked very well) are in a closet area in the bathroom. The highlight was that magnificent hot tub though. We were in it morning and night, it was wonderful. The only thing that would have made that better was if we had snow, but, alas, not while we were there. The Adventures on the Gorge complex itself is quite large and offers several types of cabins and camping options from the truly rustic to the more luxurious options, definitely something for everyone. There are several restaurants and stores on the main campus, none of which we got to try because we were there during weekdays in the off season, but they are all very well reviewed and we are looking forward to trying them in the future. Adventures on the Gorge also offers many adventure packages from zip lining to rock climbing to white water rafting. We will eventually do the zip lining. This would be such a great place for a family vacation, lots to do for everyone. Can’t wait to go back!
