Lowe’s Home Improvement

Lowe’s is my favorite big box home improvement store. In my experience they purchase better quality lumber and hardware and sell it at a more reasonable price than their competition. I find this stores layout to be more accessible and with a greater variety of things I want and need in stock. They maintain a good seasonal department with unique and practical products placed side by side. The staff they employ are more accessible and tend to be very helpful.

I’m so tired of multiple trips to HD only to find out they are out of commonly stocked items, no knowledgeable sales help, etc. They don’t restock the shelves for days even when they have the inventory and think it is just fine for customers to wait a half hour or more while they do it. It’s easier to order it online from Lowes and drive to Farmington and pick it up than it is to try to get an order together at the HD Durango store. I thought I’d be able to call HD and check on availability of of a single sku and even that doesn’t work. If they answer the phone to begin with, they can never find anybody in that department to answer the call. Leave a message, lol; even the manager does not return phone calls. Too bad Durango doesn’t have a Lowe’s.
